you can also buy Christmas wrapping paper storage bags which come in clear. as the rolls attract pet hair and dust, its best to have open rolls covered. hope this helps.
I was hunting for a video for organization and your video was a total gem. It gave me a good look at exactly what would not work and why, because you tried it yourself! Having a good look at your choices helped me locate an awesome organization rack from Amazon I’ll be surprising my mom with for Christmas, complete with all her cricut accessories in a new home! Thank you so much! 🎉
Angie you are so smart! Obviously you thought about this long and hard, and came out with the best solution. I found a holder like yours on AliExpress, will have to wait a bit before it arrives, but for now I have very little rolls. thank you!
I also have stackable trays. I put scraps into those along with 12x12 so they stay organized by type. And that last door organizer is genius. Hello Amazon.
I found an old antique file cabinet. 20 drawers/10 on each side. The left side is for permanent vinyl and the right side is for HTV vinyl. The drawer's depth is what I wanted the most. 24 in. deep. I can fit the long rolls or almost 12 rolls per drawer. My studio's colors are black and gold. So, I thought of painting it all gold. and then black crackle paint on top of the gold. One of my favorite things for my studio.
Thank you. I don’t have a craft room so I’m constantly reorganizing when I outgrow my previous setup. I am now using 12x12 scrapbook paper plastic organizers from Michaels for my rolls. Unfortunately I have 4 or 5 now. Plus 3 small bins for my joy materials. I may get some of the We R Memory Keepers shelves because I have a large box thing with shelves for my sheets. These look more compact.
I too have the over the door shoe bag. I ended up putting it on my wall! Also using the ArtBins and a modular mobile tower for sheets. Still working on my room. I've only had my Cricut since 2017! I also have the Maker 3 but it's still in its box. Thanks for the info. Wish I could send my pictures.
I have some old plastic drawer units that I used to store stuff for soaping supplies(what I did before switchings to paper crafting) and separate vinyl into categories.
Thanks again Angie. I've bee using an older shoe bag I've had for years got rid of shoes and put my vinyl in it. Double sided and can fit several rolls ,new or opened in each pocket. Been looking for more and finally ordered 3 more. Haven't opened yet. I can hang mine flat on wall. Have a log home, wall are all pine, so I have a ledge along top that hooks hook into. Thanks for Sharing. Great ideas and appreciate your ideas and suggestions.
I use the last holder on the door and I love it! for the sheets I use a high closed container for my flat vinyl because I put all the left over pieces in that as well and it stacks on top of my cube holder bookcase. Thank you for showing us other options.
Thanks for the information. I have tried similar options to some of yours but the one I like best is the slap bracelets. Someone mentioned them a year or more ago and I thought it was brilliant. All of my open rolls now have bracelets. I keep them in drawers in my cricut cart separated by type. Smart product boxes are stacked and sitting on the cart shelf, color end facing out. I made a wall unit using plastic chain the wooden dowels that works and looks good but it’s a little clumsy so eventually that will be going. Your video has given me some ideas. I’m more likely to craft my own storage solutions than buy them ready made. Organizing is almost as much fun as crafting. 💖
Another great video! I got the WRMK paper trays finally on a black friday sale at a great price from Amazon! I already have the punch tray holder that sits on top so these will be great for holding card stock or vinyl between my printer and cutters. :) my craft space is coming together nicely allbeit slowly but worth the wait when saving money and getting what works best. Happy crafting!
Hi Angie… I started using a 12”x12” binder with 12”x12” page protectors. I put 2 colors per page. This way I can keep my scraps and pages together. As for rolls I have them standing up on my shelf.
I bought 4 of those Ikea trash bag dispenser things when I started crafting last year, but the more vinyl I get the sloppier it looks. I will take your recommendation and buy the vinyl organizer you found. I was able to find less expensive valentine's slap bracelets on amazon for the partial rolls. Thank you so much for your thorough investigation as always.
Love this video, new to the cricut world. I am always looking to see how people store items. Looking forward to more great content. Thanks again Angie. 😁
I have a mainstays over the door shoe organizer. It holds 36 shoes or something. It's metal and mesh. They also have one that is similar that has wheels. It works pretty okay right now for my vinyl. I can lay them sideways, or have them sitting over. Lots of people on some tumbler groups use them to hold their spray paint and I thought hmmm this may work. :-) I am definitely going to look into the square grey one for smart vinyl and my cricut joy vinyl. Right now they are on my Vesken cart; the one that's 9.99 and has wheels. I put it right near my desk when I'm using my cricut so my mat doesn't droop. :-)
Cool slap bracelets I need get me some, but yeah I used to have some. For my vinyl storage I have those ikea bag holders and I used my the front holes for scaps lol and mine looks like that. I now have a door hanger one so far thet work way better
I store all my vinyl scraps inside the rolls. That way they don’t get lost and I know exactly what type of vinyl it is and I don’t need extra storage containers or space.

For scraps, i bought large plastic zip to "envelopes" from the dollar store. I have 4 and sort by color groups. Unfortunately a full 12" sheet doesn't quite fit.
I have the shoe organizer and it works great to store the rolls but the door definitely has trouble closing but I did put it on my pantry door so it’s not a huge deal for me
also, be careful with those over the door organizers, they can damage and scratch your doors. My darling husband put some screws in the side of one of my shelving units to use to hang the grommets of the OTD organizer on so it hangs there instead of on the door. just a thought...
I use an over the door purse organizer for my rolls and artbin containers for my sheets but I really like your ideas too! with the sheets, are you worried at all about dust/debris/sunlight affecting those "open" containers? that's why I went with the artbin boxes. I have one for HTV and one for adhesive and I separate my types/brands with labeled pieces of cardboard. Also for my scraps, I have an artbin box for each (adhesive, htv and even one for transfer tapes scraps). Love your videos, you're an awesome teacher!
Dust and debris will be fine as they are pretty tight. I think I am more worried about the age of some of the vinyl I had shoved in that drawer. I am hopeful that if I can FIND it I will use it and not have to worry about any of it.

Just a couple weeks ago I bought 6 of the double hanging holder that you settled on! I printed labels that stick easily to the plastics slots so my hav, permanent and temporary vinyls are all separate.
Love your ideas! I already have the stackable trays so that will work great for me! I'd love to try the over the door one that you use BUT I recently bought a house with my daughter and my craft room is in the garage. Too funny - the one you love is the one I hate! It was so heavy it bent the brackets (which also were really tight on my door... I actually wore away a part of the frame from the brackets)... it bent the brackets to much it fell right off my door!!! :-(

I use primarily Cricut, Oracal, and Siser with a few other brands mixed in. Frankly I get most of it online and have it shipped since I live to far from any craft store.
Thank you I appreciate your reply. I am just now getting started with vinyl & sublimation is the route I mainly want to go I think. I have picked up a few pieces of vinyl at a craft store, can’t remember what brand it was….I like you, live in the country… too far out to go to a craft store on a normal basis, like an hour and a half away. I’m trying to figure out what software would be the best to begin with when trying to make designs to use for sublimation … any suggestions? I don’t have a circuit but have a scan n cut because it goes with my sewing machine. I have found that many of your videos are extremely helpful to me … in helping me gain the courage to try to do sublimation. I bought an Epson 4800 & am converting it as soon as my hiipoo ink comes in. You encouraged me to go this route. Thank you

thanks so much. Question, I am new to cricut still learning what would be the right roll size to buy for vinyl if you don't want to run out of a certain color right ASAP?
That just depends on your space and budget. There are really large rolls if you want them!

I would peel back the corner and see if it is sticky. Window cling isn't really sticky.

It doesn't have anything to do with my camera. It has to do with my internet connection which I can't do anything about no matter how much money I spend.

Thank you for the comparisons!! Does anyone cut their rolls into 12 x 12 sheets to store?
I don't but maybe I should.
If I have scrap pieces that are a little over 12 inches long, I cut them with a paper trimmer and throw the excess in the scrap bin.
Where do you get them at
I have everything that I used linked in the description below the video. On computer, click show more. On mobile, click the arrow to expand the description or swipe up on the video.
Where do you buy most of your vinyl?
Thank you
Designs to sell or just to print?
@@AngieHolden both really. 🤷🏼♀️
There’s a small store that carry this & that…I may rent a booth. 🤷🏼♀️
