Rainbow Nudibranch (Dendronotus iris) feeding on Tube Anemone - Monterey, California November 2023

Ventured over to Monterey Bay, California for my first dip in cold water diving. Stumbled across a couple of these big "Rainbow" nudibranchs (Dendronotus iris) crawling around on the sand. With a little patience, I was able to see one stealthily crawling up a tube anemone, extend its buccal pouch (mouth) and dive into feeding on the tube anemone. Such a cool thing to witness, it's a crazy world down there!
