After making it up “you’ve gotta be totally nuts” and “back door” maxxis should should be sending you a new set for every video you make and 2 sets for rap videos 🤣
The "sticky" tires were originally kinda let's see what happends if we made a mud tire out of the same compound(rubber) as drag slicks. I remember when Peterson's did a test on the prototype set and loved them. So basically it's a really big drag slick with a mud tread cut into them
Great review Matt. I wish all youtubers would follow this sort of review style. Not review the product the day they get it. Thanks for all the awesome content!
I feel like I should send you some money. I’ve been struggling and losing sleep over this tire. Thanks to this video I now have decided that this tire is not worth the money. Thanks man! Great video.
Nice honest review, I really liked it. If you ever get the chance, a review on a set of red labels would be sweet too. Just know it would be fair and balanced.
I like Jeremys Mickeys but they are almost twice as wide so I dont think I could run them on mine without the tire getting into the engine bay or without running some crazy offset wheels. But as far as the tread, the mickys do better in the mud for sure. I'd venture to say I had more traction than Holly (who also ran the mickys) in the west... but thats hard to say as her rig weighs probably twice mine so....
The freezing issues are the same as performance car tires, they also crack and perform extremely poorly in sub 32f weather. My corvette actually feels like its front end is "hopping" in cold weather if you have to turn the wheel all the way.
You might need 2 sets of Treps... sticky Treps for the rocks and the new M9080 mud Trepadors for the mud. The comp guys here in NZ have started running them and loving them!
Great review. I'm always curious about stickys. I run super swampers but I'm in western washington. I know there is a sticky swamper that seems to be popular, would be a good one to try and do a review
Nice review, thanks for giving it time before you shared your thoughts. As a Swamper guy, how do you feel about the new Interco MEGAs with nearly 2" of tread? Would you give the 40s a shot on the Crawler? Tires arnt cheap, and they are the biggest player on our rigs. Thanks for the video Matt
To me the MEGA tire looks like a kindergartener designed it... I'd be willing to give it a try but I'd be worried about the weight. Its 163lbs, holy cow, I don't think my axles would last unless half the tire was grooved out. Maybe thats what they intend😬
I’d like to get your opinion on a set of pitbull rockers after using them for a year. They’re my favorite tire I’ve ever used. I wheel in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
Boggers are old old old school. They were great for mud bogs... hence the name but they had no side bite on off camber hill climbs where they would just slide sideways.
What pressure do you usualy run on rocks? And what minimum pressure have you ever tried on mud? Im running 10psi and the tires seemed to be pretty hard so far....thinking next try on 5.
Would you consider doing a video with general tire recommendations for conditions in the Southeastern U.S.? Advice from folks with actual experience is hard to come by in the age of “everyone knows everything” on the internet.
What is the load index? My guess is N or lower, and 120 or higher. I am looking for a H100 or V100 (letter is how fast and numbers are how much weight) to run at Bonneville.
Any tire will perform in the flats of Florida😂😂 lol, but seriously like I said, I'm not built for sand but I assume they would be just fine especially with that side tread!
I have a question about determining gear ratio for tires of different size. Running larger tires on the rear vs the front. How would I match up the ratio between the 2 axles with different size tires?
I ran the spicer ball joints for about 2 years before I had to replace them... Now I'm on the Teraflex ball joints for a year now. I'm running the Omix-ada 30 spline grande unit bearings and replaced those at 2 years as well but probably didnt need to... just did for peace of mind and kept the old ones for spares.
I run 39 reds on my buggy. I live in TN and they kick ass, on my light rig. If I was to own a heavier v8 rig with tons, it would be 43 tsl stickies all day. My Father In Law just bought a set of 43 Stickie Mickies to try something new, they seem to be working well so far.
The only thing about stickies in TN is that once you lose the corners, they dont work well in the mud and clay anymore. Sharp edges are always gonna do better and stickys dont hold that edge long... although they might make up for it by being sticky, lol. But sticky doesn't stick to clay mud!
are they selling the M - 9060 in america yet? those are some sexy tires! Looks like the tire in this video but the treads are separated much farther out.
No, you can always air down enough... I can run anywhere from 2 lbs to 7 lbs depending on how squishy I want the tire to be. Although 2 lbs is a bit much.
I think I would buy again, and for sure I would swap back and fourth if I had a set of both... but I'd also like to maybe try some tsl stickies. But the fact still remains, new tires with sharp edges are gonna do better in the wet muddy areas every time!
probably the BFG KO2... sometimes you can get a bargain on those. I've heard people say the geolander as well but I'm not sure how those perform on the street or if they are any cheaper than the BFG.
couldn't you use some high grade rubber glue/sealer to repair the lug chunking and fasten screws to hold it in place until it cures? thats what you'd do if you's from florida!!! :] ]
Well that kinda sucks I wanted to daily something that aggressive because I’m 18 and I just got my jeep Tj like 3 months ago and it’s ready for 37” tires but I daily this because it’s the only car I have and if those tires will just be waste of money I don’t Wana do that you know. Do you know of any brand that’s just as aggressive but with better street performance?
idk, but its not good. as mentioned this tire doesnt wear evenly, it makes triangles out of the lugs so I'm not sure measuring the tread depth would be a good representation of wear.

Does anyone else think that Matt sounds like Mr. Rogers? Great video with excellent review and description of a sticky tire.
Great review Matt. I wish all youtubers would follow this sort of review style. Not review the product the day they get it. Thanks for all the awesome content!
Trepador means climber in spanish. Just thought i'd share that.
Man as much as I'd love a rig like that hearing about the prices of components makes me perfectly happy with my stock Rubicon.
you should review those ORI's.
We all know there great! But he may have some more insight on them.
hmmm, ok what would you like to know?
Could you compare their "manners" to other rigs on Coilovers?
What they really shine at what are some quarks, how easy were they to dial in, etc......
they are churched up air shocks...
Thanks for the review... and the very valid point about not freezing them. That point alone makes them a no go for me here in Alaska.
Thanks for the review Matt. Clearly a quality tire. If I still lived on the West Coast they would be ideal.
Maybe interco will help you out with a set of sticky TSLs for the comanche
haha, I wish! As far as I know they only sponsor 1 guy and his name is Tim Cameron... not Matt BleepinJeep

I think the Baja Pro XS is the best 40 on the market right now. Soft but not a sticky.... great all around tire.
Trep radials do great in the snow and mud and wet rocks Johnson valley and big bear area
My only complaint with radial treps is as they got older the sidewalls got very weak
@@FiveFourRacing I haven't had a issue so far
Thanks for doing the review!
Awesome review of the stickies Matt!
Love the look of them tires and I’ve seen how they work very well for you.. I will have a set of these for my jk one day soon
Nice honest review, I really liked it. If you ever get the chance, a review on a set of red labels would be sweet too. Just know it would be fair and balanced.
Very cool! Interested in the sticky Mickeys that Jeremy runs too.
Those are the $#!t !! I hope Maxxis helps you out on your next set! I love your videos and how you make fun of influencers!!
I would like to see a comparison to the sticky mickies when they're worn.
My buddies here in Missouri love them a number of them have been running water in the fronts and craw stuff like nobody's business.
Nice tires. A set of 5 are more than my old jeep is worth, but she still beats the snow.
Have you noticed any comparison pros and cons to the Mickey's that Jeremy and Holly are running?
Great question

There specific on edgy rock. Buggy sand hollow type stuff. Elite tire there. Great review
Come up to the PNW and do some snow wheeling to see how they do, TSL SWAMPERS are king still out here so we need some inspiration.
Glad I seen this, gnarly looking tire but all I have in Florida is sugar sand and mud.
You might need 2 sets of Treps... sticky Treps for the rocks and the new M9080 mud Trepadors for the mud. The comp guys here in NZ have started running them and loving them!
Ya I'd love to give those a try!
Great video man. Thanks. I need me some 42s 🤘🏻
Your videos come thru for me fine with out the bell
You tricked me and now I have a sore finger from trying to reach through the screen to feel the tyre 😜
Ran my bias comp Treps in reverse as a test, sucked on the rocks but did well in the loose stuff, especially v notches.
Love love love them
Great review. I'm always curious about stickys. I run super swampers but I'm in western washington. I know there is a sticky swamper that seems to be popular, would be a good one to try and do a review
I wonder if you can use some glue to patch those cuts. Might be worth a try.
I have treps, they are bad ass love them
Love the video, how many trail rides have you had on these to where they are still holding up
Those are bad ass tire.whats the smallest tire they sell?
What tire pressure do you run ?
I will stick to my eye rocks since most of what I do trail riding and mud

Treps are the go to 4wd tires down under in Australia if your building tube buggy
I have no idea how the ring gear in that LP Rubicon "44" has not exploded yet.
At least he keeps a backup ring and pinion with him!
No v8 and not bouncing it off the rev limiter everywhere helps lol
Made from a special blend of unicorn farts and dragons teeth!
I love these tires. If I had a bunch of money I would buy them.
Alden Meyers they wouldn’t be cheap, wonder how long they would last
I wanna see those compared to the BFG Krawler’s

I’d like to get your opinion on a set of pitbull rockers after using them for a year. They’re my favorite tire I’ve ever used. I wheel in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
I know a lot of people who like those tires but I've never had a set.
Are you planning on restocking the large reserve battery power modules? I need one for my CJ7
They do look good on your Jeep .
Good choice! A lot of Malaysia off road competition car use this tires. This is the m8060 right? Maybe try the m9060.
Just curious why I don’t see any of you guys running boggers???
Boggers are old old old school. They were great for mud bogs... hence the name but they had no side bite on off camber hill climbs where they would just slide sideways.
What if they were siped ?
Well you get them again ? Or try something new
That was my question too!!!
I'd run them again but I dont have to... I really love the look though... not sure I could give that up!
Should get ahold of the new super swamper mega tsl's... they come in a 40" for the 17" wheel and the tread depth is in the 2" deep area...
have you seen the weight? 163lbs, holy smokes!

when you air down, is it that effective? I would imagine those lugs on the side wall would keep it stiffer even when aired down, but maybe not.
No, you can always air down enough... I can run anywhere from 2 lbs to 7 lbs depending on how squishy I want the tire to be. Although 2 lbs is a bit much.
8 to 10 is pretty good number for a 37 on a 3 tonne vehicle
If you want to go fast keep them up around 20 in the front for some steering
Would you buy again? Would you swap with TSLs back and forth depending on terrain?
I think I would buy again, and for sure I would swap back and fourth if I had a set of both... but I'd also like to maybe try some tsl stickies. But the fact still remains, new tires with sharp edges are gonna do better in the wet muddy areas every time!
Just curious, why the TSL over the SX? Or do you mean TSL's in general? Great video!
I always liked the look of the regular bias ply TSL. Plus I probably couldnt afford any of the fancier tires anyway.
Have them in street radials. Learned the hard way, take them off in the winter. They do not work on ice.
