can you have a master fx on all groups at the same time? or does it work only per group? thank you for the video!
Hi Fabian, its one single MASTER send effect which is used across the project. So you can send various levels from each group into this effect.
You can only adjust the send level from a single grp at a time with the fader as far as I know. You can change the master effect whenever you like. I wish it had two sends so you could have reverb + delay. But a workaround is to use prepared samples which has reverb…but it requires extra preparations. 😂 Neat device anyway for the price.

I saw a lot of video about the EP 133 KO 2. What will be nice is to know how you can create a set up from this "Sampler - Composer" with other midi devices that can complement its functionality and even if with ableton to make loops.
On the other hand, you can not let a production fully structured play , you have to activate each scene. Rather called it a Sampler Performer, the proof you can sync two KO2 ...

Initially, I hated the click sound in all the videos I was seeing online, but once I got the 133 the keyboard style click became so satisfying.

Hey Mattias - I'm a big fan of your work. I'm also a Bitwig (mac and linux) user. Can you talk through any ways it's possible to use the ep133 as a controller in Bitwig? Also is it possible to have Bitwig as the Midi clock source and have the ep133 sync to its clock? Thanks in advance.
You mean you want to trigger drum sounds in Bitwig via the pads on the EP133? Yeah it sends via midi NP. YOu can also sync it via USB / midi NP. It's pretty straightforward. Glad you enjoy my content Joel!
I really like the EP-133 for controlling rack synths. I love how easy it is to dial in a channel and note when I’m using multitimbral synths with a different patch on each channel. It’s like what I wanted the BeatStep Pro to be. But if I didn’t have all the synths going into their own mixer channels I would be super annoyed that muting a group doesn’t mute the MIDI. Also the shipping firmware has a bug where it leaves external notes stuck because it sends Note On Velocity 1 when it should send Note On Velocity 0. It’s fixed in the 1.1.1 update.
Yeah can’t wait for the update to lock the sample function so we don’t need to hold a finger (or put a heavy object) on the sample buttons. 💪😄☀️
Can you string together complete song arrangement structures on it to create a song from start to finish? Or is it just a 4 bar and loop as long as you like kind of a thing? Thanks
Its all up to you. I’ve just mashed up some smaller arrangements but yes you can obviously create much longer patterns and continue and ”commit” (create new copy scenes on the fly) and manipulate them (or create totally new song parts.)
But it does NOT have a song mode (ie scenes would switch automatically after a give set of predefined instructions)… its not like the Digitakt in that way. Wish they add song mode later down the line. Should be possible.
I think the Commit button is also good for live performance. You could write your song on the fly if you’re good enough.

From what I'm hearing its broken when you take it out the box fader not working and the speaker is not working.
@@spaceiswater6539 I have heard some reports of this, but mine had a perfectly working fader and speaker out of the box. The only issue was a sticky '8' key but now its not sticking after using it for a while.
I simple laptop case should work :)
They sell a bag and it actually looks and feels great and isn’t expensive and is a good place to keep the laminated tutorial page too

is it possible to determine the note value of any one trig after recording for example a bass line or lead pattern?
No, but you can ”walk” through the pattern step by step and listen what triggers. I just erase / or undo if I play wrong and re-record. Shift+B = undo.

That's now that he actually said. But still a weird comparison to make, to bring Tyson/Holyfield up when looking at one of, if not the most, iconic pictures in boxing and not knowing what the actual picture is.
@MeisseLee lol, I didn’t watch this Ali fight, only Tyson fights. 😉 The KO2 has very much in common with Nintendo colors and design. and really, Punch out… Nintendo = Tyson. So that’s the full connection. But I am happy for the engagement, long live the attraction. 😄💪

The Tyson fights was fun to watch in 1988-89, hit like a hammer, over in seconds 😂 I was 11 years old so strong memories as I got to watch some of those fights since my dad loves boxing. I buy things to make noise, but will give it to my youngest (3 year old) son and see how it holds up. 😂

Yeah it truly was a sick fight. Hard to forget the media coverage around it too. I loved seeing Tyson fights though. He was a beast.

I was 10-11 years old when Tyson fights was big news and Bite fight happened. The only fights I ever saw was Tyson. It was big news all over here in Sweden. That’s why. And since the KO2 also has Nintendo look and colors and… Punch Out game featuring Mike Tyson it should not be very hard to see how I recalled my memories of Tyson when it comes to boxing and… Punch in/out FX. Its weird of you questioning my walk down the memory lane. I am quite sure everyone has their own unique memory. 🤷♂️😂 But I am happy it stirrs some engagement, 😉🎉🎸
