Hi, I just bought this lens and I have a small question. When I change the aperture value, there are some flashing on the screen. It's that normal, thank you.
I can't wait for the 7Artisans AF 40mm f 2.8 because it's just as small but comes with an clicked aperture ring and probably a lower price too. This makes me want to get (again) a Sony a7C alongside my Oly OM-1.
So viltrox have more compact and affordable 40mm for full frame but bigger and more expensive 27mm pro for apsc, I don’t understand the strategy since apsc is a choice for compact and affordable reason. As beginner I hope they realese a cheaper and lighter 27mm f1.8 version.
GAS strikes again, great summary, you touched on this BUT did not get into details, how is rendering and spacing with this lens vs VLand 27f2 or TTartisans 27f2.8 on APSC? Would be good to compare what I noted Sony plus viltrox vs Fuji and Ttart or Fuji ply VLand?
Sir all due respect its NOT 40 its 43.3 which is dead normal, a relationship between the radius of the sensor and the focal length. If you look up dead normal lens on wikipedia it gives the full explanation, I love this lens also. Also try shooting in AFS , I found it was more accurate than in AFC

40mm has always been my favorite 35mm FL - also 60mm

TTArtisan just came out with a 75mm F2 for $199. Might pair well together! BTW, Viltrox will sell a 28mm 4.5 pancake next week

One more ask, can you mention if lenses you use have 3D pop you notice sometimes, does sigma have 3D pop in your experience ona Sony?
If this is a legend lens, Sigma 45mm F2.8 DG DN is what? Mythical? Timeless? Divine? 😃
