my xf27 broke... A lot of people somehow reported similar problem "Lens error"
So I get TTartisan 25mm F2 with equiv 37mm on FF, on f8 it's just a point and shoot camera
still prefer the lumix gm1 plus the 20mm 1.7 combo. no tilt screen like the gx line but small and portable. On aps-c i use the industar 69 28mm 2.8 and zone focusing as the 28 2.0 is the same size as the 50 1.8 and not pocketable
I love the 40mm focal length for general walkaround street shooting. I also like a 28mm when looking for a wider point of view, but my go to 40mm lens on my Full Fame Sony is a vintage Konica Hexagon 40mm f1.8 (yes, manual, I shoot vintage manual & modern auto, as the mood strikes). When shooting APS-C on my Fujifilms, my 28s become 42s. I also shoot micro 4/3, and like you, I love my LUMIX 2Omm f 1.7 for my Olympus ✅
Good job! You can also try Sigma 30mm f1.4 for apsc
It is equivalent to 45mm and it might be even smaller than the one you have. The quality is top notch, compact and f1.4 for really cheap money. Keep up! 😊
The Sony 40mm f2.5 G paired with the Sony A73 is a great combo. The A73 has the tilting screen and a great usable AF even in 2023. I rarely ever miss a shot with the A73. Now the A7C has better AF, but it has a flip out screen. After having used the A73, I have promptly sold the a6400, fuji XE-4 and now I am about to sell the EM5 MK3. The image quality and the usability is just head and shoulders above the rest I have mentioned.
Agree! I know - it is hard to go backwards and to get used to lower models. Yes the a7iii is such a great camera - thinking to get one as is the only full frame alternative from Sony now with great AF, ergonomics, light and of course with tilt screen. I had a Sony A7riii-a but the AF wasn't good especially in low light - the a7iii has better AF.
With what lens do you use em5 mk3?

Forgot about. And also there is a Pentax 40mm full frame f2.8 and a Canon 40mm .
But regarding Nikon 40mm f2 - on paper it seems like the dream lens. But I'm not liking the results - optically it seems very poor for my eyes. I looked at raw files and all the videos and reviews. I wasn't convinced. The Sony lens for sure is better. But I would try Nikon Zf with 40mm f2 - who knows maybe I'll change my mind. It deserves a try 😁
I have a number of fuji lenses and find the 27mm wr one of there sharpest with great rendering
Is that the same size and perfomrqnxe as the fuji xt5 with the xf23mmf1.4lmwr in sports mode?
I think xf23mm f1.4 will be better - F1.4 and great pro glass but a bigger package. Overall a good to go 40mm FOV solution on XT-5.
What’s wrong with Viltrox 27mm as everyday lens? It’s a little bigger and heavier than other lenses but still very much manageable and worth it for the images it produces.
What do you think of the viltrox 27mm f1.2 for the Fuji system ?
It's a very good lens, but is big just for hobby photography.
