Love Command Hanging products!! Recently we helped decorate my parents new home using Command products. We actually weighed some of the pictures to determine which Command products to purchase. I found I liked the Command hanging strips better than the hooks.
I absolutely love these picture hanging strips and all the other hooks that are in the Command line. I'm retired now and rent so I use many of them in each room. I just wish they were a little less expensive here in Canada. Love your videos!
i followed your instructions and was able to hang all of my posters and vikings stuff in my apartment. :) these are very useful for me because i rent my place and down own it. i need something that won't damage the walls and these do the trick. thank you!
Thank you for showing how these command strips work, as I've had some for years, used wrongly and gave up, so now I'll take them out again and try to use them properly.
Seriously?? Brick wall? I am looking all over the internet to see what will hold up a 8x10 frame that I want to hang on the brick wall on my front porch..
Thanks for the video. I was not sure how to use them, but now I do : ) In your next video, I would mention to clean the wall first with alcohol before putting the strip on the wall. Also, how to remove the strip off the wall without damaging it would be helpful too. Question: How to use the Command products in the shower and bath would be great! Best Wishes.
Isn't it a bit of overkill as well as being more expensive to use 4! It says on packet that one set will hold 7kgs! Also I think it is probably better in terms of using gravity/hold to use them vertically instead of horizontally as demonstrated in the official 3M UA-cam vid. Thanks for sharing - good to see a real person demonstrating rather than just written instructions on 3M vid x
Thank you so much for this GREAT video demonstration!! I just have one question... what if once you get it up you see that the picture is not exactly straight. How are you able to adjust it to make it straight? Do you have to remove the strips and start over with new strips? That can be quite expensive. Thank you again this video was exactly what I was looking for so I could be sure that I would do it right the first time.😊
I wasted some strips because the back of my frame had loose paper strips where I had redone it. My fault. Now they look great with my paintings on my walls!
I believe that most of the poor reviewer comment's are due to not using these correctly! If you clean both the wall and frame with alcohol and hold the object to the wall for the 30 sec. and then separate them and press each of them firmly for another 30 sec. and wait a hour then rehang your frame it will work perfectly, it has been said that they only work on painted walls, but I actually hung my 7 point buck (plaque) rack that is protruding 11 inches from the wall and has a 8" spread and it is affixed to vinyl wallpaper and has been hanging for the better part of a week now!
I have a 70 x 54 fleece blanket coming soon and want to hang it. How many packages of the 16 lb ones would I need to hang it? Can you use it on painted walls?
Can you make a video of how to hang wall art (ie. canvas prints) straight when using Command Strips? What kind of tools, ie. ruler of some sorts or a spirit level would you recommend?
Use 2 people, one to hold the picture straight & one to mark the top corners with a pencil. use a level if you choose. Then when affixing to wall have the other person stand back & make sure you are sticking to the wall where your pencil marks. I can't see doing this except with small pics without 2 people!
Need help! I tried this with 16 lbs strips. The picture I hung was a little over 5 lbs. didn't want it to fall so I put one in each corner and one in the middle at top. When I placed it on the wall and pressed like you said.....I can't get it to come loose now. It is really stuck! Don't think it will fall but what am I suppose to do to take it down? I was practicing on this because I have two other prints I want to hang in our bedroom and really down want them to fall. There are just under 5lbs but a much smaller picture. Both have glass. Thank you for any help you can give me.. Have a blessed day!
Hi Tori..Im wondering will they work on a small alarm shock sensor on a door frame..Im worried they may loosen with the vibration of the door closing over time..
Can I use a bunch of these to hang a heavy mirror in my workout room? I'm repurposing my bathroom mirror to another room I'm using as a temporary workout room. I don't want to permanently attach it. Will command strips work to hang the heavy mirror?
Would I be able to put these on a basement wall that's like concrete brick? And how long do these things last because I live in an apartment and can't drill holes into the basement walls. I want to keep these pictures up for like a year or so.
+Andrew McMaster they would last forever however they don't really work well on brick or concrete. I would go to the products website for more info. though
Hi Tori what would you use for a heavy mirror? Is there anything out there? I bought a bedroom set & the mirror is not attached to the dresser. I live in an apartment.
As someone who has used these frequently, doesn't matter how you install eventually they will fail. The picture will fall usually in the middle of the night and break or/and tear paint and plaster off the wall.
I still like to make my holes and set it with the appropriate hangers and when I take it off, I just have to plaster the holes and repaint. , not sure which is more effective though
OK so i thought it was just me not doing something right my living room is bare because i refuse to drill holes in the wall and all my pictures fell off
Hi, did anyone else have an issue when trying to take the picture back down (to allow adhesive to build) that both strips stay stuck together and to the back of picture and come off the wall?
I didn’t notice her advising prior preparation / cleaning of the areas on the wall that the four mounting strips need to adhere to. This is an essential step!
You’re a champion 👏packaging instructions clear as mud
I never knew you could pull those off. Great tutorial!
Love Command Hanging products!! Recently we helped decorate my parents new home using Command products. We actually weighed some of the pictures to determine which Command products to purchase. I found I liked the Command hanging strips better than the hooks.
Thanks for watching @MartinusHouse, yes I like the strips the best too!
I absolutely love these picture hanging strips and all the other hooks that are in the Command line. I'm retired now and rent so I use many of them in each room. I just wish they were a little less expensive here in Canada. Love your videos!
+Kate Heptonstall thanks Kate for watching....I love this product too...it's so much easier than making holes.
The damage-free is wonderful and the expalation is performed by a nice lady!
i followed your instructions and was able to hang all of my posters and vikings stuff in my apartment. :) these are very useful for me because i rent my place and down own it. i need something that won't damage the walls and these do the trick. thank you!
I'm so glad it helped
Using this technique to hang jigsaw puzzles; saved me from spending $200+ on an oversized frame delivery. Thank you!
Excellent!
Thank you for showing how these command strips work, as I've had some for years, used wrongly and gave up, so now I'll take them out again and try to use them properly.
Thanks for the demo, it's always nice to see a how a product actually works before buying it :)
Just bought a generous package at Costco yesterday! They are a great solution for brick walls!
Susan Bourassa bricks!!! I have stucco walls. close enough right. oh yay! I'm excited I definitely will be buying em NOW
Seriously?? Brick wall? I am looking all over the internet to see what will hold up a 8x10 frame that I want to hang on the brick wall on my front porch..
Great tips on application and usage. Can't wait to try it when I am decorating my new office! Thanks!!
send us pictures of your office once done to FB page. facebook.com/homestagingtips
Great video. So much easier than the way the written instructions make it seem.
Well done video/explanation. Better than others seen.
Thank you so much, I didn't know how to use these. Actually, I screwed them up and went out and bought more. So glad I found your video. Well done!
thank you for watching
Very good demonstration. ~The instructions on the back the command pack are so small can't read even with reading glasses!
Maureen McCarthy I took a photo of instructions and then enlarged it on computer/tablet/phone.
I couldn't read the instructions either so I'm grateful for this demo.
Better video than 3M suggested. Was not able to make both strips stick together. Must try again.
+John Ross Harvey oh thank you....try again, it should work!
Praise God! Thank you so much, I wasn't understanding instrustions, excited to try these out. You should add to clean surfaces with alcohol first.
yep of course!
Great tips!!! Never knew it could be this easy!
yes it can!!! :)
Thanks for the video. I was not sure how to use them, but now I do : )

Question:

Best Wishes.
Great tip, just what I needed to hang up a similar calendar without making holes in the wall - cheers!
We have never used these before -- looks super easy!
Thank you for this is logical demonstration. It's better than Command's version. I'm gonna get sticking....
Hi Tori, great presentation. Thanks for the tips!
You are so welcome!
Best how to I have seen! Thanks
Glad it helped!
Thanks so much. I didn't quite understand the instructions and your video clarified!
thanks
I jist bought the item two days ago and I love your video very well detailed. Thank you beautiful ❤
no problem, thank you
I managed to hang new strip lighting under my kitchen wall cupboards as I didn't want to screw into the units. They're great.
+jackie64b awesome that's great!!! They're so easy to use and can hang anything!
SEPT 2024: Thank you for the great video....
I’ve just bought these- excellent demonstration! Thankyou!
Is it necessary to pull the frame off right after you first press it to the wall? I'm afraid I would pull off the strips.
My picture did not want to to come back down at all. Don't want to rip it out using screw drivers or pliers.
Perfect demonstration!
thanks
Didn't mention wiping down the wall and frame with alcohol first to remove any residue, an important step.
Agreed!
Its just common sense
I learned that after one art fell off the wall.
@@BuiltUponARock1 😁
Hi.. I have a 3kg of weight bathroom mirror. Can i use these to hang it on my bathroom tile walls?

definitely gonna give these a try
+mee chang awesome they work so well

use a spirit level first, make your marks then fix the frame
wow! excellent video! I'm sold!

Honestly, I followed the instructions and even used extra strips but eventually they give out like after a year or so
nice
+Bruce V they should be okay, I would double check with the company.
Three lightweight plain pieces of wood no paint or any coating will they stick. Small boards.
I have a 70 x 54 fleece blanket coming soon and want to hang it. How many packages of the 16 lb ones would I need to hang it? Can you use it on painted walls?
yes you can use it on painted walls, not sure it will stick to fleece though?
So Helpful! Thanks xxxx Irresistible
+Al Fresc thanks
I have three small lightweight plain boards will they work with wood?
I can't wait to hang my tins on the wall! I am wondering if the strips damage the tins though?
+Sandi Beach they shouldn't Sandi
+Home Staging by Tori Toth I hope not Tori!
It is the excellent strip! Thanks!
It would be useful to know if heavier pictures could be securely hung using more strips. Do the strips hold on tiled bathroom walls?
no not on tile
Tori can you hang curtains without putting holes in walls?
Can you make a video of how to hang wall art (ie. canvas prints) straight when using Command Strips? What kind of tools, ie. ruler of some sorts or a spirit level would you recommend?
HiilandKew will work on that, thanks for the suggestion it is a great question!

Thank-you for this video. It has given me the courage to start hanging my wall art by myself!
hope you have lots of wall art hanging
How about heavier ART Framed Work weighing more than 4 to 5 ponds? Which Command product can be used?
are they re-usable if you want to move the picture elsewhere or do you need to buy again?
I wouldn't reuse them
Very helpful. Going to buy some,

Burn the house down that should remove it

3M (command strip company) says absolutely NOT. could eventually fall and break.
Thanks for the instructions
+Helina Amede anytime
Do you think this will work on a sloped wall? I can't imagine why it would make a difference and should work, right?
hmmm, it should
How long does it last? I don't relish the idea of a heavy picture falling down on my head
as long as you want to keep the picture up.
I would go to the products website for more info. though
See the comment below about brick walls. Also, I saw another video, where a man hung Command hooks on a painted concrete block wall.
Good tutorial
I'm going to do a wall soonHave bought lots of strips
They're expensive...no
fabulous
thank you
well done demo. thanks.
Thank you, great tutorial!
+Jamie Dower thanks for watching Jamie
Very informative video . Thanks
thanks
will the strips hold up in a bathroom with high humidity coming off the shower?
Yes they hold up!
Bruce V They have water proof ones
Yes. I’ve had a picture hanging in my bathroom for about a year now with no problem.
Thank you so much
Thanks this review helped
Excellent...
Really informative! Many thanks!
thank you.
Great instructions...thank you!
What happened to the picture frame can I remove the strip easily to the picture frame without ruining the frame on the back? Please advise!
This was very helpful.
Do you know if 3M Command has any products for holding up shelves?
I don't think so. www.commandstrips.com
So if a strip is said to hold 5 lbs, if you put 3 strips would that be cumulative, meaning all three will hold 15 lbs?
+AbdicateDotNet I would double check the product specifications if you go to comman strip's website.
Do you think this could work in a wall with wallpaper?
great explanation
+barbara milton thank you for stopping in and watching!
Tori Torth what about a cork board. would that do to.
yes that should work
Will this work on frameless paintings?
yes it should
What size should i get for an 12 by 12 inch frame?
Hi Tori what would you use for a heavy mirror? Is there anything out there? I bought a bedroom set & the mirror is not attached to the dresser. I live in an apartment.
There are command strips made just for "mirrors" so use only those made for mirrors.
Better than the instructions
awesome, glad I could help!!
I have a very heavy picture what do you suggest to secure it safely to my wall without a nail?
Susan DeMendoza they have extra heavy! I used them all over the heavy frame. Yo be cautious I padded my buffet heavily in case it fell. It did not!
Will this hold up a vinyl banner???
As someone who has used these frequently, doesn't matter how you install eventually they will fail. The picture will fall usually in the middle of the night and break or/and tear paint and plaster off the wall.
well, thank you. this isn't a very good review for someone has always has put holes in the walls and wanted to try this at least once.
I still like to make my holes and set it with the appropriate hangers and when I take it off, I just have to plaster the holes and repaint. , not sure which is more effective though
OK so i thought it was just me not doing something right my living room is bare because i refuse to drill holes in the wall and all my pictures fell off
didn't show the wall after taking the strip off. did it strip some paint off?
cool
thanks
Thank you for this video upload!
+Neneth Marie Aragones thanks for watching!
+Home Staging by Tori Toth love it!
What can I use for a whiteboard?

Can you use these on brick wall

Victor check the back of the label. www.commandstrips.com
Hi, did anyone else have an issue when trying to take the picture back down (to allow adhesive to build) that both strips stay stuck together and to the back of picture and come off the wall?
At 3 mins 30 secs in the video. Thanks
Wheres your top from?
How do you know how much your wall art weights pls answer
Throw it on a scale or try and guesstimate
Weigh yourself and then hold the artwork and weigh again ;)
I followed the directions totally. The pictures fell off the wall. I wasted money buying these these and I had to replace two broken frames
Betty Blalock yes my mirror fell and broke as well 😞
Same thing happened to me 😢
How heavy was the stuff you hung up?
I didn’t notice her advising prior preparation / cleaning of the areas on the wall that the four mounting strips need to adhere to. This is an essential step!
How long do they last for?
as long as you need them to
Which strips did you use?
I use all different ones depending on the project
Are they really work? Cause I’m worry it fall down
great video
