It is in fact not the ost used for Whitebeard's death. This one can be found under the name "Clockwork Island's Collapse". It has been used 20 times total in the anime. The first time it has ever been used is in episode 442, at the end of the episode, when Ivankov starts seeing resemblance between Luffy's resolve and his father's. With episode 442, this ost's most notable appearances are (to me) episode 470, episode 502, episode 547, episodes 678 and 679 (back to back), episode 716, episode 871, and episode 980. I'll leave you the great pleasure of rediscovering what those numbers refer to. (or just ask me if you're too lazy for that, I guess) The ost was also heard four times on Onigashima's rooftop in episodes 1015, 1028, 1050 (obviously, since it's in the video), and 1071 (stay connected). This ost seems to be chosen to highlight moments where characters take on a fight in which they have been entrusted with the hopes and are carrying the wills of others who either died, or weren't strong enough to pretend fighting. I couldn't explain why since I'm not a music expert, but it's something with the long echoes, or choirs (?) that really gives me a feeling of confidence, like "no need to worry, this guy is fighting for us, everything will be fine". You can also find it in episodes 464, 476, 646, 718 but i don't think it's as powerful as the previously mentioned occurences, probably because I don't really find these scenes to hold that specific meaning I just described above. And finally, it is featured in episode 1001 and in both episodes 751 and 885 (both filler episodes) and those three times it serves as support for Chopper's backstory and how the pirate flag was a "symbol of trust", literally, for doctor Hiluluk. Luffy was using Conqueror’s but you shouldn’t rely on the anime for any indicators as to whether or not someone is using CoC infusion. Animators have come out recently and basically stated that they use whatever the director thinks looks cool. So sometimes CoC will be just red lightning, sometimes it will be Black and red, and sometimes they have the gold. They have flat out admitted there really is no set indicator they are using. Whereas the manga makes it pretty obvious when it’s being used.

This is such a dumb statement. Manga and anime are 2 completely different medians. The anime has to move faster than the manga because it has to actually play out the scenes while the manga only has to show one frame. If you go the 1:1 then one panel of luffy running becomes a 5 minute segment of the episode
