I think most of the people calling this album mid/trash wanted an Astroworld 2. I feel like they wanted hits and mega bangers, but were disappointed when we got more album cuts, and experimentation. 8/10 for me
I didn't really see anyone criticize and give it a bad review tbh. But Travis's lyricism was kinda wack in this album but other than that it's been extremely good
You can hear the Kanye influence all throughout this album and I love it. Utopia is refreshing, innovative, and immersive. It’s not Astroworld 2 or Rodeo 2, it’s it’s own thing and it was not at all what I expected, but everything I wanted. Well worth the wait, in my opinion.
Utopia is EXACTLY what I've been wanting from travis scott, dark, sinister, doing crazy shit with his voice, crazy experimental production, astroworld was good but it felt very safe and it felt like default travis scott songs more so than what travis scott stands for
The Influence of Kanye's sound on this album is immaculate, you can hear shades of Yeezus, MBDTF & Ye. The production is clean, the features are clean especially Carti's, he just has that style that you can't replicate. UTOPIA is a good 8/10, reason why I took out the two points was for him not adding Kanye on Telekinesis, and he changed the original version of Lost Forever, which got me mad asf
Kanye probably never had enough material finished for Future sounds so I dont stress that one. But gods country ? That song like 5 years in the making and kanye has a completed verse for that, it is dated but with the production team on this shit I know they could have mastered it and made it a 4 minute song. It hurt not to see kanye on Gods country, especially since the mf religious and been preaching the gospel for past few albums. Big L tbh. Smh
This album might be one of the best first listens I’ve had in a long time for a rap record. It really encapsulates an atmosphere that is so interesting and peculiar, but at the same pretty familiar for a Travis record. It’s like the combination of all of Travis’ strengths and was absolutely worth the wait imo
you was expecting another astroworld thing? i think its this expectations that was ruining some experiences out there, this is a nice album fr, hope utopia grow up on ppl in some time
@@Hwcks yep, I kept my expectations low because I knew some people were going to be expecting something like rodeo or astroworld, and it worked! It was an amazing experience, and I loved most of the songs on the album tbh. People just gotta have an open mind instead of expecting perfection.
@@BiasedSportsFanSame. I kept my expectations very low and after 2 listens I can say this is Top 2 Travis and aoty. Incredible project and worth the 5 year wait. No skips.
Honestly I thought this was incredible. The production as expected is amazing, but it takes a bit of a new direction while still feeling like Travis. His rapping is the best it’s ever been, flows are insane, features mostly deliver, and he actually has some pretty nice lines and verses writing wise. The soundscape of this project is just beautiful. Top 5 album this year, first listen feels like a 9/10 barely any misses here, made me like Travis so much more.
AstroWorld was fun, familiar and youthful as it should be because it was literally based on an old amusement park in Houston.. Utopia is his own world and vision that he wants to create and you get that ambiance throughout the album.. yeah we can hear the Ye and Cudi influences but it doesn’t make or break the album imo.. solid album so far but it still needs to grow on us years down the line so we can throughly appreciate it!!!🤘🏾
Lil yachty - Let's star here >>> Utopia Gunna - Gift & a curse >>> utopia Uzi - Pink tape >>> Utopia Let's be real 6 years for that is crazy. A garbage version of Yeezus album.
To me it sounds like a demonic version of Donda, and I don’t think I can ever get past that. Honestly a good sounding album, but I really do get bad vibes from it
@@Jykobe491 production crazy but travis flow/melody stuck in 2018 it sound like he rushed this album. Go watch the process of him making astroworld then come listen to utopia again. The passion aint there
I think rn after a few listens I like it more.. but it doesn’t evoke any excitement like his other projects did.. this is probably my least favourite project from him currently.
In my opinion this album was amazing. People expect trap and rap from travis and wanted an astroworld 2, but then will criticize him once he doesnt change his flow and tracks, its a breath of fresh air. Not to mention utopia was never meant to be a rap album, its primarily meant to put you in a trance when you listen. As soon as utopia dropped all people did was criticize the lack of "hits" the album has. If you thoroughly listen to each track with an open mind you'll definitely enjoy it. The whole album had great production and beat selections, its also refreshing to see him try some new styles and flows like modern jam delrestro. Features also came in and did their thing, overall i would definitely listen to this over and over its just so psychedelic.
The production is immaculate as always, but what I really get from this album is that even the production isn’t enough to carry this one. I love Travis’s music so it pains me to admit it but lyrically this is easily his worst, and his vocal melodies on this are just boring. The only redeeming quality to this project is the production imo.
Telekenisis is the highlight of this album for me. Like Shawn said it’s just beautiful. That SZA verse was executed with so much fucking emotion. Future got so vulnerable with his relationships and drug abuse. And that travis hook fit in perfect.
@@barry4649bro leaks are leaks tho. This the version we got and it’s beautiful, there‘s no point comparing to leaks that didn’t make the finished product IMO
@@ltex3424 first time I listened to heaven and hell goat version my cock oscilatted violently and my children shot so violently to the ends of the earth moving within speeds unmatched to the point the load hit your mother. Me personally I cannot say that for the official version.
I never liked Travis for his catchy songs or lyricism or trendiness, I was always interested in his production and how he treats music more as a cinematic experience than purely musical. I think what sets this apart from his other projects (excluding probably Rodeo), is how different many of the songs sound. There was a good balance with some more standard sound, especially with the big features he has, but the experimentation I think succeeded, and will grow on people for sure a couple years down the line, as has happened with Rodeo
@@plutoskis1661 not saying it’s as good as rodeo. It’s still way off at release, and honestly I also still place it just behind astroworld. I’m just saying the sort of concept and style of sound is similar to Rodeo, in the sense that it’s a different kind of trap we’re listening to. A lot of the tracks are really production heavy and the experimentation is pretty clear and I think works for the majority of the album. What I liked about Rodeo more is that while the tracks sounded way different to music in it’s time, the whole album felt like it was all connected and similar, this seems like half of it was following a theme and the other half were tracks that were pretty good and he wanted to release at once in an album
@@InYourWalls101 ah my bad then I agree on that part. The production on this album was phenomenal and all that but like you said it didn’t really feel as connected as Rodeo with a theme and I would still have it under Astroworld as well. Also felt some of these songs were just not it at all.
@@flackodiorhe started off as a producer. He’s produced a lot of his own music but that was definitely the most prod he’s done on his own work Edit: nvm he has prod credits on pretty much the entirety of rodeo lmao but this is the only time I’ve seen him solo produce this much. I’d have to look back but I think there’s 3 songs that he produced just by himself on utopia
It’s actually insane how many Ye songs were either taken or interpolated on this album. Thank god, gods country, and telekinesis were Donda tracks at one point. Modern jam is an early “I am a god” version and he interpolates coldest winter with the delresto verse. The circus Maximus criticism is valid too.
Taken? Bro Kanye and Travis are friends, they aren’t just random people in the genre. Kanye isn’t on the album either due to recent situations and it would be risky having Kanye on Utopia cause what would the mainstream think? Or Kanye asked to not be on it due to him literally having a break from everything.
i find it really interesting that the same song that the dad from turning the tables cries to and calls perfect just evokes a reaction of confusion and emptiness from shawn. love seeing people different perspectives on albums and even different songs, which is why i find watching different reactions super valuable.
I loved the direction of the features: + what we received. everyone delivered. the art so far that we received for the visual emphasis is amazing, and futuristic. the album was like a sample of everything he fw, and is inspired by. this is travis' inspiration album. we're hearing travis as a producer in a way, and what he fucks with: sample culture, and showing what type of ish he's on rn. that's why I love this project + how I've been taking it as. it's a unity within the top of the top, and best of the best: all collaborating + being together on the track. it's not just one singular travis voice; travis is also talking through other features. it's like a DJ album: but in the format of his production + what he fcks with rn. that's how I see it so far, and I really love it. sorry for the long response.
the fact that travis was basically on almost every prod. of the song feels amazing to me, you could really tell how much he’s evolved like a producer. I think that this album like Mike Dean said its really like on some “Alien shit” and what I think they mean by that is the production, the detuned synths, modulations are perfect, in SIRENS (that is one of my favorites) that vocal chop is disgustingly good and Travis destroyed it in a good way. So I would say that you can really feel some of the things that nobody would’ve imagined the next Travis Scott album could’ve been like 3/4 years ago. You can feel Yeezus and early mixtapes influences for sure but what really stands out for me in this album is the production, oh my god that shit was crazy, talking from a producer pov. Either way I think this is easily one of my favorite Travis’ albums so far. 9/10. (sorry for my English im Italian 🙏)
I wouldn’t have known English wasn’t your first language if you hadn’t said so lol I wish I was as good in my second language 😂 anyway how would you rank this against Rodeo production wise?
the version of telekinesis that has been leaked for like 2 years (future sounds) was epic as fuck, i was hoping it would be the closer to this album. this final version is good, sza was amazing, but it lacked a bit of that grandiose energy of the leaked version
Leak syndrome is crazy with the hate on this track, I agree I wish it had Ye or the trumpets but y’all just wishing it was fuckin Future_Sounds_V6 (HQ) from some dude on SoundCloud
I don't think Travis or his feature overstays on any part of the album. Everything last just long enough, and then he hits you a clean transition, or new flow to keep you interested. A lot of songs from many artist could be cut down b/c it gets repetitive, but Travis does it just right, and every track is as long as it needs to be
@@nostalgiaharvey7213 i’m not saying that’s what he is, that’s just the reputation from most casual listeners. so he tries rap-rapping as hard as he can to prove them wrong

I'm just glad we didn't get a 2nd ASTROWORLD. Glad he did something different here. Young ones will definitely call it ass & trash. But give them a few weeks, they'll come around to it. *btw, there is so much layering in this album. I LOVE IT*
@@lucdw3286it’s very Yeezus influenced while three songs being actual Kanye songs this is a new sound we haven’t heard something like this in a decade since yeezus so this is new. It’s more modernized per say
@@dominiquesmith7680This is new, you don’t see anyone doing this style of music that is mainstream at least. Yeezus was ahead of its time, and even thought this sounds like a Yeezus 2 album, it’s was more complex than that. Travis production on the album can’t go unnoticed and labelled as “Kanye Influenced”. Travis has always had that atmospheric and spacey vibe to each of his instrumentals, but now he has taken it up a notch.
That song with Beyoncé is immaculate. Like pure music perfection. Not too loud but just the perfect mix of sound and the vibe of it is perfect. I can’t even fully describe what makes it so good but by far it feels like the most complete song on the album
I think it's important to remember that Kanye is literally credited as a main producer on multiple tracks in this album - THANK GOD, GOD'S COUNTRY and TELEKINESIS all have him listed as the first name in the producers credits, not to mention that TELEKINESIS is literally Future Sounds (an old unreleased Kanye song). So with something like CIRCUS MAXIMUS, it's very possible that Kanye has given Travis permission to use the beat from Black Skinhead to spin his own thing with The Weeknd.
I really really enjoyed the album. The evolution of Travis has been extraordinary. I doesn't have to be his best or his worst, all I ask is for a great album and to show growth each release for a different experiences and that's I got. Also, MY EYES went fucking crazy
I think this is travis's best work, and i definitely think that this evolves trap so much farther than any other album out in this genre. It feels like travis's level headed clear vision and ye's eccentricity really come together here
@@peonsgetclapped8845 nah, i meant that this album involves elements of trap in a really unique forward thinking way - similar to how rodeo did and donda tried doing.
Utopia only has 4 trap songs and 3 more with trap influences but no trap lyrics. 4 or 7 songs out of 19 definitely isn’t pushing trap to the next level if there’s 13/15 non trap songs also on the album
@@ziontheprophet5362 yeah Travis gonna win a grammy with this one. People in doubt were anticipating some generic singles but the experimentation was a great change from all the mediocore stuff that came out this year. I think the features carried on Astroworld so i do kinda of wish he had some better features on Utopia but not complaining
Even though most people seem to be enjoying it already, I think this album will age even more beautifully. Travis renovated his sound and was just experimental enough. I enjoyed the Yeezus-like vibe throughout the album
I think it was his most concise album in a concept/experience way. I feel like Astroworld had the most highlights out of his discog, Rodeo had the highest highs, and Birds had the most consistent mood. Utopia combines all of these features.
i personally really like this project. i think it’ll age real well like rodeo did whereas astroworld couldn’t. it was enough travis but also enough experimentation with his sound. the yeezus and overall kanye influence is def apparent but executed very well. the production is spotless (which i expect from trav) and the overall vision is cohesive and complete, especially for a longer album. as a side note, i feel as if i’m the only person really digging modern jam. 8/10 off rip with definite room to move up into the 9s with more listens.
Bro? Astroworld didn’t age well? Literally everybody was copying the production on Astroworld and everybody has been trying to recreate the sicko mode beat switch
@@ihateanimebutonlywhenitiso7227 maybe it’s just me but i find many of the songs on astroworld boring now whereas i loved that track list when it first came out. also the production on astroworld being influential is arguable imo, but i see where you’re coming from.
Dawg this album is on the same tier as Rodeo and Birds for me on just the first listen. I cant imagine how its gonna feel months from now. My biggest highlights off of it were : Skitzo, Telekinesis, I Know, Sirens, and Thank God. Those are my top 5 right now, but i literally saved 16 out of 19. I’d rate this album a 8.5 - 9, one of Travis’s best work to me easily. The wait was very worth it
@@h4rpoon Birds is 1A - 1B with rodeo, i feel like its more consistent. Rodeo has better highs but Birds is just a better listen all the way through with me.
BUT, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE "FIRST" "LOST FOREVER" that dropped months ago. He changed it in the second part with the drums when Westside Gun started rapping. The first version that dropped was better in my opinion but maybe I got accustomed to it. It was mysterious, intriguing and dark, I loved it. He changed the sound of the second part way too much.
i heard both too and personally like the new version more. the darker drums beat just matches west side gunn much better, and travis has a great verse on em. give it some time i think it'll grow on u
At first I was comparing this to Astroworld (my personal favorite Travis album), and it didn’t sound right. Gave it a second listen and thought of it as being experimental. And I can say without a doubt that this album is a 8/10. It’s a great album, and it was kinda worth the wait. There are a few tracks I would definitely come back to, but other than that it’s an 8/10
My first listen I was unsure, but I re ran it and my god, it literally gets better with every listen. The production is absolutely crazy. 10/10 from me
Def recency bias. This has some of his worst rapping from any of his album besides birdz but that's just cause I haven't listened to birdz. Including his worst flows and melodies. The production is the best in his discog for sure tho. Everything Travis and the features do on this album is alright at best tho.
@@Wuprrr dawg lol those are great TRAVIS Scott albums … if u maybe replace travis with a prime Kanye on this album it’d be a lot better but man this shit won’t age well . 21:20 This is my overall feeling with the whole album. There’s nothing on astroworld or BITTSM where you would say this. It’s him in his bag with dope melodies and hooks. This album has a lot of good songs but a couple of them are Kanye inspired and a couple of them are slow. He said he’s not doing his same set list anymore at shows and idk how he’s gonna do that because there’s just not enough on this album that’s gonna turn up the crowd.
Do ppl not realize Trav used to produce for Kanye before even starting to rap? It’s a no brainer you’d hear some similarities he helped with some of Yes best work as well.

1:09 *“See I told you when you be hating on niggas that’s when it pay off”* Shawn hilarious😂💀💀. Also, Utopia felt like a breathe of fresh air to me. That 2nd Part of THANK GOD is somethin serious, deep voice Carti had me shell shocked/sounded like a different person, The Weeknd had me transcending toward heaven on CIRCUS MAXIMUS(beat reminded me a lot Black Skinhead), & Future and SZA left earth, went to heaven, and came back down on TELEKINESIS. The Yeezus/Kanye influence is very evident and is kinda a full circle moment since Travis produced on the album. If you ask me Travis definitely beat them washed allegation🤷🏾♂️.
Telekinesis is THEE best song on this album, future and Travis had me levitating but then SZA ended my career right there, this album I enjoyed for sure
I’m glad i didn’t get spoiled by the features (aside from Beyonce because his team decided to leak that she was on the song on Spotify and Drake because he was already confirmed anyway), but when SZA’s verse on telekinesis came on i was screaminggggg
Man, if cut the k-pop, and other odd non-thematic shit out which is not a lot of tracks, only like 3 or 4, that would be such an amazing cohesive album, would've matched Astro for me i think. Nonetheless this album has some high tier Travis cuts, and i like the fresh approach that he needed to take at this point, easily a contender for AOTY
The whole concept of the album is in the beginning he’s in his normal life but as the album goes on we get to the point where the girl asks Drake where utopia is and drake reply’s wym this is it? And she says this is just your hotel room. The whole concept is showing that each of us have our own vision or idea of a utopia in our heads. The ending half of the album is showing the desires and expectations of this utopia and the ending track is asking what will happen once we are tired or done with the utopia or no longer want/need it
good take, didn’t think about it that way. To build on this the way he’s falling in the album cover could take on how he’s falling out of of his “utopia” and finding deeper meanings in life
I am a big travis fan, but i really didn’t have any expectations for this album. But daamn this shit….is amazing ! This album is for the real travis fans, its not a album like BITTSM or Astroworld that are more mass appealing. Its a mixture between owl pharaoh, rodeo and has also some yeezus influence. No other music thats out right now sounds like this, travis went back to the more darker vibe and experimented with his sound. The production is just top notch, very good features and the cohesiveness of the album is solid to. I do agree that the lack of substance in his lyrics or personality is downside. But i never really put on travis when i want something more lyrical. Travis did his thing once again and made a great album, for me 9.5/10.
i came in with astroworld 2 expectations and only up until gods country i realized that he reinvented himself. his production and everything about the album exceeds the expectations i came in with and that sza feature was amazing as well
This album doesn't feel like a UTOPIA. One thing about the album that is really interesting is the priduction, the production feels raw like most of the production in DONDA 2. It's weird to listen to but it is interesting.
Agreed. Rodeo, Birds, etc all made you feel immersed in a world Travis created. Utopia has a grand feeling to it but it still feels empty like you said.

Bro Kanye never finishes his verses nowadays he was not gonna be on Future Sounds
Big L tbh. Smh

It’s ass bro, just come to terms with it
Telekenisis is the highlight of this album for me. Like Shawn said it’s just beautiful. That SZA verse was executed with so much fucking emotion. Future got so vulnerable with his relationships and drug abuse. And that travis hook fit in perfect.

I never liked Travis for his catchy songs or lyricism or trendiness, I was always interested in his production and how he treats music more as a cinematic experience than purely musical. I think what sets this apart from his other projects (excluding probably Rodeo), is how different many of the songs sound. There was a good balance with some more standard sound, especially with the big features he has, but the experimentation I think succeeded, and will grow on people for sure a couple years down the line, as has happened with Rodeo
solid coherent opinion. good review
It’s good but to Rodeo? Cmon bruh

Travis did work on Yeezus a lot tho ( or at least took credit in a bunch of it ) so I’ll give him that
This album is Travis's yeezus

Taken? Bro Kanye and Travis are friends, they aren’t just random people in the genre.
Kanye isn’t on the album either due to recent situations and it would be risky having Kanye on Utopia cause what would the mainstream think? Or Kanye asked to not be on it due to him literally having a break from everything.

It's scary how often i listen to an album, formulate my own opinion & then watch one of your videos just to listen to you say word for word what i was already thinking!
Fresh air to the modern rap industry !!!!
Telekinesis is THEE best song on this album, future and Travis had me levitating but then SZA ended my career right there, this album I enjoyed for sure
I’m glad i didn’t get spoiled by the features (aside from Beyonce because his team decided to leak that she was on the song on Spotify and Drake because he was already confirmed anyway), but when SZA’s verse on telekinesis came on i was screaminggggg
listen to OG future sounds
The real heaven and hell version with Travis is much better. I think there's a fan made edit on it as well which is pretty good
@@orange_penis theres a bunch of different versions but i do like the heaven and hell/future sounds ultra cut
Can’t lie this song is a huge disappointment the sza verse made me shut the whole song off future low key ruined it
Man, if cut the k-pop, and other odd non-thematic shit out which is not a lot of tracks, only like 3 or 4, that would be such an amazing cohesive album, would've matched Astro for me i think.
Travis did his thing once again and made a great album, for me 9.5/10.
i came in with astroworld 2 expectations and only up until gods country i realized that he reinvented himself. his production and everything about the album exceeds the expectations i came in with and that sza feature was amazing as well
You a fan but didn’t have expectations for utopia. Stfu lmao
@@pckl-9915 lmfao
This album doesn't feel like a UTOPIA. Like when you listen to ASTROWORLD you are immerced in the manifested world that is ASTROWORLD and immediately from first listen you feel like you are in ASTROWORLD. UTOPIA feels like a mixture of songs from DONDA 2, Yeezus and other albums that feel empty and lackluster. One thing about the album that is really interesting is the priduction, the production feels raw like most of the production in DONDA 2. It's weird to listen to but it is interesting.
Everybody saying this album is amazing when it’s not. You described it for what it is perfectly .
Agreed. Rodeo, Birds, etc all made you feel immersed in a world Travis created. Utopia has a grand feeling to it but it still feels empty like you said.
this is exactly how i feel. I could put utopia on shuffle first listen and come out with the exact same experience as if I didnt. but other trav albums i def get a lot more from listening in order and they just sound like they belong together more than this album
Has anybody taken the time to consider that that "emptiness" IS the world of Utopia??
You’re right, sounds nothing like a concept of Utopia, it’s just another Donda to me, which made me love Astroworld more, kinda disappointing.
Travis still my sample in sirens 🚨 and this is the track Therealhmz - HORIZON
Dammmnnnn
Omg 😱
Holy shit
I think that the funny thing about this record taking so much inspiration from Yeezus, is that Yeezus was the first record that Travis worked on with Kanye a lot after they first met, and the sound of Yeezus was heavily inspired by the sound Travis was coming out with at the time
In other words, I feel like it’s disingenuous to say that he ripped off or copied a sound that he helped cultivate
@@robertgaskill8632 nigga help with two songs on yeezus and you said he heavily inspired yeezus. Thank god, gods country, and telekinesis were Donda tracks at one point and Modern jam is an early “I am a god” version. i cant say the same. there's nothing wrong with travis sounding like ye but I might as well just listen to unreleased ye. Travis Scotts lyrics are boring just doesn't feel personal, but yes the rapping is good. production was obviously very good, carried this album. when I first listened to it it was a 8 but now its 6.5-7/10
This album got me even more pumped to keep working on mine. Week 4 full time working on it with my mates done and man this album was genuinely such a nice reward such a nice treat. Can't wait to see how shawn reacts I'm genuinely entirely unsure how he is gonna react
same lol got me motivated
broooo same way
do share with us once ur done with urs bro!
we dont care about your music lil bro
@aryansethi498 fuck yeah will do
So far I have finished the production for all 14 songs and fully written 12 songs, so iv got two left to write, then I gotta record vocals, get live instrumentalists to come and perform their parts and then the album is done. Then I have to record the continuous album length music video/movie, and then it is all ready to start being released. It is imo quite innovative and interesting production wise, so If you are the type of dude to cream over production (like any self respecting travis fan should) ull defo like it so I'll post a link to it here when it's done ;p
7:53 A lot of people forgot about that Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho project, I still listen to that
this albums was amazing fr tho
'UTOPIA' is an album that is gonna grow on people!! Most people at first are not gonna like it as much for now but this album is truly ahead of it's time!! THIS ALBUM IS NOT FOR ASTROWORLD FANS AT ALL!! Utopia reminds me of 'Owl Pharaoh' 'Rodeo', & other early Travis Scott music!! The Ye influence on this album is CRAZYY!!!
Totally agree. First listen I was not much of a fan, but after listening to the album multiple times… it’s incredible!
you literally astro fan, album is only got 8 good songs so overall it's mid. Stop meat riding the hype. rodeo got no skips, this one got 11 skips you people trippin sayin it's not for Astroworld fan bcuz it is for them.
@josephstalin1690 I am not an astroworld fan imma Travis Scott fan you just don't understand the versitality of Travis Scott except k pop and parasail every song is good in simple words u just don't understand good rap you are the ones who think rap has to hype a shi and yea my opinion was the same as yours when i listened to it for the first time this is probably my 10th or 12th listen to this album so stfu
"gonna grow on people" is the biggest cope ever. It's the anime watchers excuse when they say " it gets good 3 seasons in ". Like bro, stop coping and accept people didn't like this shit.
@@Yagizino fam i agree it was mid at first and still people think it's mid okay fuck grow on people every guy who told it's mid I am damn sure at some stage he's comparing astroworld to this. this album is not at the level of astroworld at all these are two different album with different types of vibe and it's hard for some people to digest that Travis is making music like this jus wait watch this album age like fine wine
had a listening party in discord last night after we all got a smoke sesh in us. we all muted ourselves and listened through the whole thing. this might be my favorite travis album bro. idk what the reception has been so far but it’s just my opinion lol
This album is so good bro, such a fun listen no boring production crazy flows shits so hard
If an artist does the same thing on every project, they say to do something different. But If an artist does something different, they call it trash and say to go back to their old ways, I don’t get it 🤦🏾♂️
That is typical of a human to be hypocritical. You can’t please everyone…
Just because you do something different doesn't mean you're doing it well.
@@user-ds5lf3he3xthat is probably one of the most shittiest analogies I have ever heard
@@user-ds5lf3he3x The fact that this has to be explained is comical. These people actually think doing something "different" immediately translates to a masterpiece.

certain songs should've been singles (I Know, Topia Twins, Circus Maximus). The ye influence is there no doubt but if anybody could execute a ye impersonation in a good way it would be Travis imo, this is his best rapping performance in a minute, his most well produced album out of all of them imo. He held his own with features which is something u can say he improved on since his other tapes. People expected another rodeo instead of the first utopia and got butthurt when he stepped outside the box. Overall I'd say it's a strong 8/10 and I can fs see myself returning to this for a long time
wonderful take

As a Travis Scott fan I enjoy your channel
VERY ACCURATE TRAVIS HIT THE PYRAMIDS WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
ALBUM IS SO GOOD, can’t believe people really wanted sicko mode for 19 tracks 😂😂
nah fr we basically got Sickomode 2 with meltdown. but the album was way different than astroworld which was great because its refreshing as hell.
yo send me your famous chili
I like the use of the word ‘adventures’ for some of these songs.
When you look at it from any direction, Travis is OUR Kanye, the album was amazing and I can’t wait to see how this album evolves him as both an artist and icon
Kanye could be our Kanye still if he didn’t ego trip so much that it made his music bad. The things I’ve heard about Donda (1 AND 2) are pretty rough.
@@prettierjesus3119wdym 'the things ive heard about"? just listen to the albums yourself?
@@prettierjesus3119 Donda very underrated its very good imo and donda 2 doesnt feel like it was ever finished. And why do you listen to other people opinions about music instead of listening to it and making your own???? "The things i've heard". KANYE IS STILL ALIVE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT travis will never have a mega hit on par with a kanye mega hit quality wise
Album would be a 10/10 if there was a lyrical message, but it really doesn't leave you with anything to think about except for the creepy samples

just curios, what did astro and rodeo give people to think about?
@@jufrefexactly 🧍🏻♂️
@@jufrefrodeo and astro made me think about floating
@@jufrefsongs like maria I'm drunk or 90210 talking about success, the ills, and taking care of his mom and fam. Or songs like coffeebean or even carousel (maybe I'm thinking of no bystanders) where he talks about love interests and falling out with them/his family.
Travis' mainstream career started by producing a few songs on Yeezus so him drawing inspiration feels more like giving fans the "old travis" they wanted
Shawn really knows how to compliment Travis then talk shit about him right after 💀
I know ? is the best song on the album. Simple but mysterious and arcane, yet groovy as hell. Even in the vid he couldn't help but keep moving to it.
finally someone says it he put his soul into that song🤦🏾♂️
SZA’s verse was never mixed because she didn’t like it and wanted to redo it but Travis put it on there anyway cause he was running out of time for album release
