    My first saw i bought at 16, P70 paid $380 back in1978, ran the shit out of it, making firewood and cedar posts, never had any issues with it. Sold it to a guy who was looking for a pro saw. $350
    Todays current stable.
    P7000 plus
    P70, ive gone through
    P85 in great shape, its the large cube, saw. Way heavier than the small cube saws.
    6-P55s and a couple S500s
    2-Pioneer Partner 400s
    1- Husqvarna 395, had 2 but, a local tree company had to have my other one ,with a 42" Cannon Superbar running .404 chain.
    Love Partner Saws.

    I worked in the woods for a living one time. I bought a NEW R16 partner in the early 70's. After using old homelite's and mcculloch and pioneer saws I thought I died and went to heaven. I used to toss it in bruh piles and just stand there and watch it run upside down or any way it landed. They were so far ahead of ANYTHING else at the time it was stunning. At 30 below or 100 degrees....it just ran...no more down time.

    I have a ton of saws from 42cc to 92 and believe it or not my favorite is my Partner 500. That little fucker is awesome. I found it covered in dust in a barn and it had barely been used. I ported it up and it is a badass little saw. Its not the fastest but it runs great. I like the design of the saw and they are built very well.

    I have 2 of these old saws... they r factory untouched inside. My grandad logged with em, back in the day these were known as pretty hot little saws... stock they don't stand up to modern saws but I think they r awesome to mess around with... one of the few things I have from my granddad so they r priceless to me

    Pretty impressive power gains. The basic partner designs were better than most other saws that I have worked on in their day, making for an easier build, with excellent results. The carbs on the S-55's have the built in governor, so a carb mod or replacement should improve the performance even more.

    Hi I build 1/5 scale rc car engines and some saws .I have a question why not take advantage of the bridge exhaust and go 70% of the bore diameter so you get more time area and turn that thing up .we run 50cc + and the clutch don’t kick in till 10500

    • @dynojoemods2764
      @dynojoemods2764  11 місяців тому

      I did go right to 70% much wider and the transfers will start to short circuit out the exhaust. Hoping a carb swap this will gain some rpm.

    Is there an industry standard that’s allowing you to interchange parts so easily? I understand from my industry (pwc) that most carbs should have the same bolt spacing, but I’ve seen you swap cylinders and pistons before too. Common manufacturers?

    • @dynojoemods2764
      @dynojoemods2764  11 місяців тому

      Most are close enough, and only being a single cylinder it is only 1 piece needs modified to fit.
      Same with most saws are roughly the same size per cc class, so cylinders are all close to the same dimensions etc. This one was all oem parts so far. Just some of the lesser parts (single ring piston) is more desirable for this "all out" type build. Lots of things are very different. But close enough it can work if motivated enough.

    • @RyanMcIntyre
      @RyanMcIntyre 11 місяців тому

      Yeah this saw didn’t really match my question but I’ve watched a bunch of your videos and wanted to ask. Thanks for replying!!
      More questions: do you follow a port “recipe” or is each cylinder taken individually? If so, how do you decide on the layout you want?
      The finished exhaust port on this saw looks much flatter and more aggressive than any other ports I’ve seen from you - was that because you have the bridge?
