Being relatively older characters, having been around since 2012 and 2013 respectively, these two have a lot of normal lines that overlap with each other. Sion has her 236X and 22X share lines while Akatsuki has shared lines between his 236x and j236x. UNI2 spiced things up by giving Sion differentiated attack yells, different gun shot lines, and asking if you're a turtle when her j214B lands. Akatsuki got a couple different yells and his air specials don't all share lines from his grounded ones.
I have a soft-spot for Satomi Akesaka because she voices a character from one of my favorite dead franchises way back from 2006 and I was so incredibly happy to hear her still being active in voice acting and making it big while other members from that very same work have not been as lucky. Sion has three different canonical voices from her original debut in Melty Blood, here as Eltnum, and in FGO. One can only wonder if she'll gain a fourth VA performance for her proper return to Melty Blood in about half a decade. Due to the entirely 4th wall breaking nature of Eltnum in UNI, I'm very glad that Satomi Akesaka is reprising her role as Uzuki to voice a proper member of the game's universe.
I don't really have much to say about Akatsuki. His 214B line is weaker while damn near everything else sounds more fierce, kind of like the opposite to what's going on for most of the other male members of the cast and their new voice-lines. Matsumoto did voice Tempest though and I want this thing to become playable. DO IT FB. GIVE US ANOTHER MONSTER.

Its just not the same, they even had to change CHESTOOO :(
Overall i like uni2s va a lot less, most characters had much more personnality in the first game imo
ehhhh, in uni2 eltnum sounds much more confident which does pair well how she's represented in the game. I do agree overall that i liked the higher pitched voices of uniclr and before though (why would you change a "chesto" into a "chestoah"?????)

@@Zxerom new voice is way more impactful (the iw is a good example) and fun to listen to. old voice got too old cuz I played him and heard it a lot.
Sadly the Chesto was nerfed in 214C but the Kamikaze got buffed, i can take it.
Air ex tatsu still sounding good notherless.
