      Absolutely. I was horribly abused and everyday when I prayed, I would promise myself that when I grew up and had children, I was going to love them, hug them, kiss them, and tell them how much I loved them.
      I think people who aren’t molested, believe the BS that the abused become abusers. I remember hearing that on the TV when I was growing up and it angered me. Yes, some might grow up to abuse, but I knew, first hand that it was a lie. The fact that people say this, is a further insult to an already hurting child.

      Same I was… sometimes I shout and that makes me mad at myself. By shout I mean Mum yell not scream or be abusive to my kids.
      I saw my Dad stab my mother he tried to kill me and my brother and I spent many of my years harbouring darkness. But I could never; actually I would never inflict that on another person ever. It’s a choice.
      I chose to face my demons alone not drag everyone along with me. My son is 16 and he’s very healthy, happy and well adjusted and I’m proud of that. Like I said it’s a choice.
      And for anyone who says mental illness blah blah. I have paranoid schizophrenia. So no that doesn’t wash either.

    Sharon's mother is a perfect example of someone who should never have children. Also: Never, ever underestimate the ability of a young child to drag something. I used to throw around hay bales twice my size (yes throw) when I was that age myself. This kid also had a tough life so I'm not even remotely surprised she could drag the older girl.

    • @rsgshakey992
      @rsgshakey992 Рік тому +54

      The difference is, you grew up and were “trained” almost, to do that. She wasn’t regularly moving/dragging bodies nor was she “trained” to. Of course you should never underestimate their ability but your example isn’t congruent to her every day life

    • @kitalalaris
      @kitalalaris Рік тому +59

      @@rsgshakey992 Well she wasn't throwing the body. Dragging is a lot different from physically picking something up and moving it, so I don't have a hard time seeing her dragging the bigger girl. What would raise my brow is if they said she'd picked her up, because a floppy body is entirely different from something like, say, a board, or a hay bale. I had a dog die when I was young too, and even though technically it was lighter than the hay bale, it was a limp dead weight and therefore not really feasible to pick up. I had to drag it to bury it. Considering there were scrapes and other such injuries, I'd say she dragged the body, maybe she tried to pick the dead girl up and found that it wasn't going to happen.
      Also it mentions she was on drugs, which is another thing that can make even physically weak people deceptively strong, so that's kind of an unknown variable. I can definitely see why it would confuse the police and make them look for a different suspect though, we as adults don't generally think of what should be an innocent child being capable of even thinking of something like this, never mind actually doing it.

Because of what they went through, that might make them a better and more loving person. No one should be put into the you're a bad person because box...because we all have potential to shape our lives for the good. Especially if we have a sound support system. She didn't stand a chance, but even so...there was something in that little girl's eyes that wasn't right. Sometimes I wonder even if she was given a chance, would she have still done the things that she did. She's out now and her identity is forever protected and she's living her life. Despite the violence Sharon grew up with she is responsible for her actions. Sharon was a vicious person and there is no need or reason to depict her as a tragic individual when the level of violence she inflicted on Katie was deliberate. That Sharon was treated as if she was some kind of victim or deserving of help is beyond me after she openly and repeatedly killed and attacked people. People with the psychological profile of Sharon should not be pandered to, she should be isolated and treated with utmost care to minimize her ability to harm others.

Women have no idea of the guy's past history or arrests! they little by little trap them by isolating them and denying them any friends, money, job, visits to parents, etc. They get mean as soon as the woman shows any ill effects like starts looking a bit older or had kids, etc. They hate and abuse and discard or kill them for not being so beautiful any more. Sharon grew up seeing her mother sentenced to a year of free psychotherapy for throwing hot oil on her boyfriend. Her writing shows her intelligence, and she took note of how British justice worked, and probably knew she was advantaged with a kinder juvenile justice. She was secure enough that 4 years later, with school in session she stabbed her classmate in the back. A sign of dangerousness, and a random murder with extreme atrocity got her 14 years, but with her behaviour she's managed to protect society longer than that. Very sad.

And it is fact that how our childhood is lived amongst many other things heavily impact our physical and chemical responses even far off into adult hood. Once again another citizen fails to realize that the purpose of this information isn’t to glorify the criminal. It’s to share the story and often spread awareness. But as a human with empathy naturally how could many not feel pity for both? One whose life was taken from them and another whose life was so unfortunate that she was left with no empathy at all leading her down such a dark path to commit such a crime. People are not evil because they want to be. It’s psychological issues within them that alter them to be that way. If something is wrong with your brain YOU cannot go in on your own and fix it, and when in the given situation often times you won’t even understand why you feel or act the way you do. And sometimes trauma even plays a part on that as well. Nonetheless no matter what way you look at it it’s sad and hurtful but locking ill people up doesn’t solve the problem when help is what they need. But sure keeps ignoring the real realities and continue to wonder why the human race continues to deteriorate.

      Yes and no. It's nature vs. nurture. Are some people born evil? I believe so. Are some people evil bc of how they grew up and what they're exposed to? Yes, but not all. There are drugs that can indeed make you violent. Meth and PCP are two big culprits.

    • @janetpendlebury6808

      Children are not born violent, it is what they see and are subjected to that turns them that way. If someone has a psychopathic nature and is subjected to all she was then it is no surprise she turns out bad. More money needs to be spent to try and identify these children as early as possible and help them, not wait for them to turn into killers and then deal with them.

    I live in the UK and remember this case quite well, you're commentary is quite possibly the best and most comprehensive on this particular topic. The formative years of a child is the most crucial...I wish more parents realise this, instead we seem to be experiencing an endemic involving adults rearing these monsters.
    Prisons and mental institutions are a help but unfortunately too little too late for the victims and their loved ones...How simply dreadful.

      Your not you're. Many "parents" don't think about the 18+ years they will have to dedicate to bringing up a decent, well mannered and well behaved human.

She said to me in front of Selena that she would be worse then her sister Sharon but im so happy to say she proved that headmistress wrong and she went on to go to university and is doing AMAZING.

      How is that "rac×sm"? I don't see that as rac×st. Classist, maybe. She was raised poor by an abusive mother, so the cycle usually is unbroken. Siblings can feed off of each other. One trying to be more cruel than the other. Though, not always. But it's safe to assume the sister might be worse in time. I don't see rac×sm there though. I guess people will find it wherever they look for it 🤷‍♀️

    I work with children & youth in a mental health facility and have seen enough to know that violent behaviour is not hereditary. However, the emotions and experiences of a pregnant mother can negatively effect fetal brain development. Violent tendencies or psychopathy appear to come from a mixture of brain activity (or lack there of), experiences, resentment, opportunity, sexuality, and lack of emotional/moral compass. I’ve met a lot of spoiled kids from very loving, wealthy families who develop violent behaviour as a means of getting what they want when they want. All of the horrific information available to kids in the media or online also exposes them to things they don’t fully understand at an age far too young to see.

    I don’t agree that doing drugs young & having an abusive childhood made her a psychopath . I lived the same childhood & never ever thought anything like that. I’d never hurt anyone or any animals. I have some mental disorder’s myself but in no way could hurt someone. She needs to stay exactly where she’s at.

      I agree, some people are just not wired right. Abuse is an aggravating factor, but the vast majority of abuse victims do not end up being killers. Especially at her age, it's unheard of. Even James Bulger's killers showed some remorse. This person is pure evil.

    I was sexually groomed by an older female relative, and molested by an older male relative. I was gas lit by people I was supposed to trust, I now deeply and passionately hate rapists, pedophiles, and other abusers. And I absolutely enjoy love seeing people feel fear, the moment of panic in them brings out the wolf I became in me. No one showed me any sympathy so I have absolute no care at all for other humans. I love to feel your panic, your fear causes my anger to go into rage. I can sense your emotions, you cannot hide anything from me, but I never murdered anyone. I do however honestly love to see people in fear and wonderment, whether I cause it or not. How I exist is by staying away from humans, cause everything humans do grinds my gears.

One day pain and abuse will be no more. I'm sorry people hurt you, not everyone is out to hurt you and Jesus loves you so much that He sent me here to tell you, you can heal, you are loved and you have a purpose.
