I fully expect to be crucified in the comments for sinning The Last of Us, a game that to many people is the golden calf of video games, but this game had way more sins that even I remembered, so it had to be done... for justice or whatever high minded idea that's acceptable. Your probably right. Neil said that the story in part 2 will be more centered around Ellie and revenge. So if she still does have her sense of humor it will likely be a bit darker and more cynical.
The “I know, I believe him” line while Joel was interrogating the men was so damn BADASS!

Still the most emotionally engaging, most visually stunning, and best written game of all time.
+The Chopping Block Agreed. The story is great. The director really took great care of how the actors behaved and the camera work was on par if not better than metal gear and it's crazy camera shots. Graphics were really good for one of the last games to be released on PS3 console.

You talking about the second game? After his death I stopped playing the game after roaming around for a bit, I still haven't gone back to the game yet. Fun fact he wasn't meant to die at first from what I heard, it was meant to be an ambush and her Lover was meant to die with other problems having happened or something, anyway I heard they changed it cause his death gave more depth and all considering his impact in the games, we only knew the girl for a bit and she held no really depth for us. I think they should have stuck to the original point as it was just meant as plot progress, but no they had to kill one of the coolest characters ever and in a way he shouldn't have dead in, he could see traps a mile away but couldn't realize he was walking into one.

I don't think that those "sins" about the relationship between Joel and Sarah are really sins.
They aren't it was for comedic effect. This isn't an actual review of the game. He basically commentates on some the mistakes in a game and cracks jokes in between. That bit was clearly a joke.

It triggered in Pittsburgh, after killing the three hunters guarding the military checkpoint (and before crossing the checkpoint) - I think you need to approach Ellie and the "Talk to" (or whatever it's called) option will pop up. :)

Some of these are actual legit points, especially the expired gasoline. But the story and graphics outshine these minor plot holes.

Maybe I am just too cynical of a person. I enjoyed the game thoroughly, just bought a ps4 and finished it a week ago. But nothing ruins a good story and intense immersion then some shitty writing choices that make standing behind it become less tolerable.

Sin 97 is incorrect. They will change WITHIN 2 days. That's can be as short as ½ an hour or as long as... 2 days. Plus he's younger than a full grown man, so the infection would pass through him much faster
Are we going to forget that the army truck was stuck on the bridge, in Pittsburg and there were no other large bridges around but less than a hour later it gets to the abandoned town to help the thugs
For a sixteen hour game, it did really well for having the same amount of sins as a one to two hour movie

The last of us is easily one of the best game I've ever played yet I enjoyed this episode and agree with pretty much everything he said.
Someone clearly have to be naive to believe that their favorite movie/game/book ect is perfect. Those are entertainments, this isn't real life.
Of course they're full of things that doesn't make sense or are cliche...
GenLiu I think it's that a lot of the sins aren't correct, watch everything wrong with everything wrong with The Last of Us, pointing out the vast amount of inaccuracies with the 'sins' he tries to point out.
I get your point and you're not wrong but at the same time I doubt Dartigan takes what is doing THAT seriously and I suspect a lot of the sins he mentioned to be here just for the sake of entertainment. I mean, the main concept remains to point out what's wrong with the game's plot but I think peoples make too much of a deal of something that probably shouldn't. It's just my opinion of course.
Also, I watched the video you linked (thx about that btw) and to be fair, I don't agree with everything they said either. It's all matter of point of view and what degree of tolerance you allow for an entertainment. But again, nothing worth being shocked by imo.

Hospitals develop vaccines by testing the blood of the person immune to the condition for antibodies. The entire ending of this game would’ve been avoided if it didn’t go by the logic it did.
15:48 That's for an adult. A child who is 13 - When asked is age by Ellie he says 14 then Sam says "Really? You're 14?" - is obviously going to be smaller. So the infection will take less time to turn him.
And earlier in game when Ellie was explaining her immunity to Tess and Joel, Tess says "Everyone turns WITHIN two days." So 12-48 hours seems reasonable depending on your size and the strength of your immune system.
Um, actually, it doesn't take days for the infection to turn you, in the game, its stated that when it started, it took weeks, then days, then hours. Probably all the doctors dying and lack of antibiotics, it doesn't take long to turn.

Very few are actually true, and most of the ones that ARE true are pointless. Example? His fall to winter problem. It went from fall to winter because in a world with no food, no hygiene, and no medicine it does take multiple months to recover from an injury like this. And yes a shot of penicillin would be enough to make him functional since multiple hours passed before he was active (actually around a day, since David said "see you in the morning Ellie" before Ellie's escape) and his body had already been fighting the infection for months. The wound is obviously fully healed months later so no open hole either. And when he gets up he is NOT 100%. He is limping and he is looking to support himself constantly. He starts getting better progressively AFTER getting shot at and realizing that Ellie is in grave danger, at which point the adrenaline kicks in. And yeah you could say that that's bullshit, but I would reply, get back to me once you survive for 20 years in a post apocalyptic world.
How about character development? He sinned Joel asking what the hell fireflies wanted with Ellie because he had just said that he doesn't care. Well that's pretty easy isn't it? He asked because he did care. Not too much, he didn't see her as his daughter yet obviously but it had already started. The way Joel bonded with Ellie overtime was the most beautifully designed part of the game and the dude basically sinned the first time we caught a glimpse of that. I could go on.
I love CinemaSins and they have basically sinned the crap out of all of my favorite movies. This is not similar. It's just bad.

1. You would never be able to push start that truck. That body stile Chevy/GMC never came in a manual transmission.
2. Let's even assume this truck has a stick for some reason, when you push start a vehicle, the starter wont just magically engage. Especially considering the battery was dead a second ago.
3. How old is the fuel in the tank? Modern pump gas spoils in about 3 months. So if this truck was sitting for years, that gas would be completely dead anyway. And even if the engine was completely healthy and the battery was fully charged. It would not have started.
Also exept for HMMWVs and other things of that size or less, almost everything in the military is a stick. Unless it is an APC or tank. I would be able to know as my brother is a deisil mechanic for the 1st armoured division in el passo. If Ellie went to military school, they probably would have tought kids how to drive a stick as most of the vehicles that are still running are military vehicles.

Presumably, fungus-infected monkeys and primates would've contaminated many different farms across South America, and it could have easily slipped through health + safety inspections due to them generally not inspecting for zombie fungi, and could very well have infected a large portion of the US within a few weeks, maybe even days!

And going from coast to coast could be the food shipment moving across the country. And also, in news headlines, you only really see "mystery infection" rather than "virus that turns people into bloodthirsty monsters" also the fungus takes multiple days to actually turn people into monsters, so, say it was avocados, which would start in CA and move it's way across the country, by the time it reaches Texas, it's likely that not many would fully understand the dangers of the fungus. People would be caught completely off guard. Also, the military probably dealt with several cities being totally overrun before, allowing them enough experience to begin taking drastic measures.
