@@myyarnycorner since ours started a month ago there's been rats coming across from the field a hedgehog ran over and a fence put round the site, it's on hold because of water drainage cos one resident got flooded because of it. I'm so angry. It's like they are deliberately crowding us out. There are plenty of brown field sites if housing is really needed..... But who will be getting these houses!! That's another story. Good luck in your fight 🙏
I loved your nature walk. I call them snickets, not ginnels, not alleyways! I almost ordered from Wool Warehouse but saved myself just in the nick of time! 😂
It's so easy to order from wool warehouse though isn't it! You get looking and before you know it's on the way! Yes they are snickets!! 😁 pleases you agree! 😁xx

I say carry on just enjoying your knitting, that’s how my latest shawl design developed. As you know I have decided that MKALs are not for me, I am quite happy to knit the patterns later once I know I like them. x
I really want to like them again so I'm going to push myself! 😁 and a sock project is a good way to get back into if I think 😁xx
I love Stephen West, but have not done a shawl because they are too much yarn and time to commit to something where I don’t know the outcome. So I tried the sock last year, and loved it! So I’m all for it again this year, small amounts of yarn and not to much time.cant wait to see what you decide! Thanks so much for your friendly podcasts, kind regards, Zillah🙏
I completely agree a Stephen West shawl is a huge investment of yarn and time and ypu have to be sure on the outcome! I think i will do the mystery sock along 🥰 it would be a fun project wouldn't it! Plus I'm so intrigued by the "different sock construction" 😮xx

Hey!! I love the Addi flexi flips! They are great for small circumference! I’m still working on a small gauge toddler sweater and if I tell you it’s taking as long as an adult garment😢. I also previously ordered yarn for three garments, and I’m major overwhelmed, it’s the way with knitters😂😂
I think some toddler pattern do take a while! I have never done a child's pattern myself but I have heard a few people say that! Xx
Luigi is a beautiful boy ! I thought about doing the Stephen West Sock Along coming in July ! I did the one he had last summer and got the first sock done and my husband said he didn’t like it and wouldn’t wear it ! So I frogged it ! My feet are so small there wasn’t a size that would have fit me !
Also the Addi needles your using are like the Hiya Hiya Flyers that I knit socks on occasionally and I love them !
He really is and such a gentle cat 🐈 🥰 the contrast blast socks last year were a little out there but fun to make! It's the new techniques I like to learn and pushing myself out of my comfort zone 😁xx

Lovely walk today with you & Danny and of course wee Ruby, I have a wee Chihuahua named Stanley I take him everyday for a 30 minute walk , he enjoys the outside too, I love your cowl it's lovely I adore the colours Alex can I ask how many stitches you have on the needles and what size are the circular ones you are using .. your cowl will look amazing on in the chilly days in winter, glad you are enjoying your books Freda McFadden's new book was released yesterday ( The housemaid is watching) , it is free on Kindle unlimited .. YEA !!!
Aw thankyou 🥰 this is what I did with the cowl:- (16 inch circ)
Cast on 100 stitches provisionally
Scrap section - just knit for how ever long (I'm making sure to have at least 30 rounds to get a nice chunky section and using anywhere between 10/20g scrap yarn
Texture buffer section - 14 rounds total
1/2 - knit
3/4 - k2, p2
5/6 - knit
7/8 - k2, p2
9/10 - knit
11/12 - k2, p2
13/14 - knit
So I'm doing a scrap yarn section and a buffer section ☺️ the buffer section is all the same colour I have 100g of that yarn

@@myyarnycorner Thank you so much Alex, 16" circular what size needle is that .. sorry to be a pain , so kind to write all that out for me x x x
@mazee1702 I use interchangeable needles so the length of the needles and cables (tip to tip) are 16 inches amd the size is 3.5mm. Basically just a small enough cable so you don't have to do magic loop BUT magic loop would work just aswel so go for that if ypu don't have a 16 inch. It's just quicker to go round and round without the faff 🥰xx
