Started experiencing this after my appendectomy surgery years ago- I was so happy to find a reason to explain it- as a 28 year old guy it was such a relief to figure it out. For a while I thought I was diabetic. I’ve changed my diet, eat way less per meal, and avoid the combination of alcoholic drinks that are high in sugar, and I haven’t had an attack or episode in years. Scary to be in your mid to late 20’s and not know initially what’s going on. The episodes I experienced terrified me and ruined my social life at that age- feeling the need to strip down and lay on the cold tile bathroom floor and breathe it out for 10-20 minutes was killing me. Chills, sweating, nausea, tunnel vision, and the feeling of being about to faint from stomach cramping really hit my ability to socialize with confidence. Tabel sugar is awful anyways. Most feel way better after getting off of it and avoiding it anyways.
ooh but the laying on the cold tile is so comforting i dont know why, but i hope you find benefit out of this problem, usually alot of bad things that happen are to help us be better in life, so benefit off of every thing and keep growing
You are the first I’ve seen to describe my symptoms - plus the 8-10 bowel movements I’ll have. Cramping is not how I’d describe it though - more like a grinning evil troll twisting my gut…
Thank you for the great animated explanation. Only thing I would add is it can also occur in people who have never had surgery, and sometimes the reason is simply unknown - according to a great article of the NIH and my own experience.
@@AnkitRaj-bd8uw It's not something you can get rid of, you need to know how to live with it. The first thing to try is nutrition changes like eating many small meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones, and reduce or completely avoid simple carbs. I'm still testing what works for me - I found that Barley Groats are a good side dish instead of rice or potatoes that make me feel real bad.. Also having small meals every time I feel a bit hungry is way better for me instead of waiting to be very hungry and eat a lot which shuts me down completely.. Best regards and good luck! 🙏

Anyone have early dumping for late dumping without any surgery’s? Ate a foot long at subway and immediately had to poop then got really dizzy and felt heavy and threw up, drank a Gatorade and it made it a little better but it was almost like a mini panic attack episode from this
I have a GJ-Tube and I've been told that I'm at risk for dumping syndrome if I have my Enteral Feeding Pump set on too high of a rate of infusion. So It's set on 65 ml/hr, and as of now, my IV pole goes everywhere I go. It's how it's going to be possibly indefinitely. It makes a lot of noise going accross our floors, and at night, I've been instructed to pick it up and move it, so it doesn't wake people up. LOL! One person who was at our door one day when I went to answer heard me running with my IV pole and thought that I was riding something. LOL!
For my body (gastric bypass 17yrs ago) ANY carbohydrate can cause this. Only exception is sweet potatoes. Before trans fats were outlawed they would cause it as well
From your video, I think stomach is responsible for storing large amount of food and passing them in separate small amounts into the duodenum. Consequently it prevents dumpling syndrome; osmolarity problem and immediate surge in glucose concentration in blood. Thank you for your video.
@@777-h6d Well glad to hear you have improvement, i wish i could tell you good news. But, the less i eat the better. But, compared to couple of months back, it's better than before.
@@Minerva578 I recently got over covid and the forced fasting that came with it did help. A little change in my diet helped as well. I'm slowly getting back into my usual diet and digesting a little better. Do you keep a food journal? I don't, but I will if it gets bad again.
Started having this problem after having anxiety disorder and agoraphobia. Im assuming the constant fear anxiety is affecting my gut somehow. Took me awhile to figure out it was dumping syndrome. All i knew was my sugar would drop and i would panic after eating.
@@aaraishlove8751 me i had appendix sugery 4 years ago ig and now I'm facing this from last 2-3 months and when i sleep this happens and sometimes afternoon too but mostly at late night😭
Hmmmm I didn’t have any type of surgery but I have these symptoms but it’s like my stomach would have a cramping n burning n get nauseous and have to eat and then when I do it cramps up againnnnnn and I get nauseous and the feeling of it after a couple mins it’s like I can feeelll it going down n then it cramps in a lower spot but Ik the feeling of it it tells me I have to use the bathroom😭 man. This is irritating and that literally within 15 mins after I eat idm if I eat a full meal or a snack
Is that typical of the early dumping syndrome that the glucose gets too low right after the meal (in 30 minutes)? Then it increases without any additional stimulation
Does bypass surgery improve Gerd/heartburn? I had sleeve in 2018 and I have to cut back on spicy food, coffee and tea and I am not happy with the cut. I am going to have my bypass surgery soon hopefully. I can’t wait to enjoy my spicy food again and stopping indulging myself in sweets. Please let me know if bypass surgery will improve my heartburn problem
I went through years of torture after having my gallbladder removed. It's the Bile Acids that no longer have the gallbladder to sit in. It was painful and the need to "immediately release" made me feel trapped. I talked to the right Gastro doctor and was finally prescribed Cholestipol (2x 1 mg tabs twice a day). No side effects accept mild constipation which welcome. I feel normal and can go out to eat and don't have to make sure I'm empty before taking a drive etc. Please ask about your doctor this, it saved my life.
