OK, so, I had this crazy idea. (Kind of random to put it here, but couldn't figure out where it'd really fit.) Watched a lot of Dreamscape vids, but admittedly not even close to all, so if I missed something debunking everything, sorry. I plan to do everything! Anyway, the idea is: Most of the videos by Dreamscape are in the same universe (save some that are noted to be separate, and one or two referenced as 'dreams'). We start in a Medieval-ish fantasy world, with magical creatures like Elves and Fairies. Humanity, in this stage (according to my theory) is in a sort of harmony with the magical creatures, magic itself, nature and the world as a whole. Magical creatures help humans, like when the lady innkeeper gets sick eating the wrong mushroom. Perhaps humans can even use magic. However, the magical creatures start to dwindle while human numbers only grow (ironically partly thanks to their help), and like in Tolkien's writing, the two are estranged. Either thanks to previous encounters with magic or a continued use of message, we do enter a different Early Modern Age and Industrial Revolution, more steampunk than in our world, including airships. Magic isn't wholly gone at this stage; we know there are ghosts and Vampires. However, both of these are heavily tied to humans themselves, possibly explaining why they last longer. At least one spirit remains from the Middle Ages to the Victorian Era. Vampires survive into recent history at least. Perhaps still with ghosts and Vampires around, we enter the contemporary age, where magic has become so inconsequential Dreamscape's world is near indistinguishabke from our own. However, the disconnect from magical creatures, then magic itself (a major part of nature) and finally nature generally sets us on a dark path... ... leading us straight into Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is generally seen as dystopic, and it certainly seems to be that way in some Dreamscape videos (though people clearly can have (somewhat) normal lives). The poor masses exhausted, apathetic and/or powerless, machines intelligent but uncaring, leaders morally bankrupt or simply unable to think of something better, we are headed for disaster. Enter the Zombie Apocalypse. Perhaps it was specifically designed by machines to wipe out humans (who managed to destroy them anyway). Perhaps it mutated and evolved under the extreme stresses of biological and/or chemical warfare among humans. Or perhaps it was nature itself striking back at humanity. Perhaps most plausibly, it evolved normally... and no one did anything. Perhaps no one even noticed. Either way, humans survive in tiny numbers in scattered, competing factions, among suddenly scarce vital resources and a continued Zombie presence. Huh. That's actually kind of depressing. But... that has to be the last major event, right? The end of the grand timeline, with even literal Hope being turned into a Zombie - how blatant can it be, symbolically? So, I guess we're just screwed now. ... Or are we? Hope was turned into a Zombie, yes... but Zombies in this world aren't 'dead'. They even retain some humanity which can still come out. So... if you want to go for symbolism, and how can I not when a person is literally named 'Hope', H/hope isn't gone. Just because humans are disconnected from magic, magic itself isn't necessarily gone. Even magical creatures may have survived, just as shadows of their old selves - a state in which they may now recognize humans. Perhaps we can re-learn to collaborate. And some knowledge from before the Apocalypse does seem to have lingered. So we end up with at least modern science and medicine, coupled with magic. We could perhaps devize a vaccine, even a cure; remember, Zombies aren't dead in this world. Perhaps we can take the knowledge and learn the lessons from the past to build something like our current world again, but better - and never to fall into dystopia again. But that's just me being hopelessly naive 😀 I can only hope, for the theory and for herself, Dreamscape, too, has some of that optimism: things may seem crappy, insurmountably so, but even then maybe, just maybe, there's still a chance.

I actually started out trying to connect all my videos with references but it was holding me back a little bit so I take a more loose approach to that now. However, as far as the themes go-you absolutely nailed it! Life can be really soul crushing at times, but there’s always hope if you seek it out. Maybe a smile from a passing stranger, the seed of inspiration that comes from witnessing someone succeed from afar, a moment of grace when you least expect it etc. When I picked the name Dreamscape I envisioned a universe that would host a cast of characters that made you (the viewer) feel special and appreciated ❤️🙏🏻 I didn’t have the skills to produce the ideas I had in my head-so I have gone through a ton of trial and error. The road never ends but at some point I decided to jump in with the limited skills I had and start making RP’s 🙌

Yeah, I can see how it'd at least be _another_ mark to check before you get to upload, and sometimes it'd be hard to fit in a reference without it feeling forced. When I write myself, both writing projects I'm working on right now in fact (and another I put on hold), I'm stuck, not because I don't know where to go, but because I'm unsure how to get there. Tying everything together rather than just going from Inspired Moment A to Inspired Moment B can be the hardest part. Honestly, while it makes me super happy to know at least at one point, on some level, that really was the idea, there's actually a lot to say for a looser approach. Hopeless nerds like yours truly ;) will at least theorize this anyway (as I have proven by doing so publicly), any Easter eggs can be appreciated by long-term viewers, and if you're just here for a relaxing vid, it can be nice to not go 'Wait, what?' and have to dive into the catalogue to be up to speed 😅 That's genuinely lovely. I only wish I had more to say. As something of a perfectionist myself... Yeah, I feel you. Putting stuff off, it's never quite right, you could technically do better... But I think I speak for many when I say: You're doing just fine. Personally, I love story, I'm here for it, and others are too - you acknowledged once there's a lot of writers in your audience - and there's enough to keep me satisfied at least, and clearly more. It is videos such as this where I truly begin to question, at what point to we start calling these videos cinematic pieces of art? The costumes, detail, setting, even the story, all of it is enough to make one want to watch. Add in the bonus of it being ASMR, and well, I think we are now in ASMR Cinema. I think this and the vampire lounge are my favorite videos from you. Not just for the real technical skill at play with the interactions or the variety of looks, but also just for the concept of having a group of friends in an unfamiliar environment. It plays well with the positive affirmations you always give the viewer, even if some of the characters are a little less fond of each other. 😂 And I appreciate that you're always able to find the warmth in settings where that isn't easy to find.

This is just so good. The amount of effort in these videos show. I loved the futuristic bartender video, found it so relaxing and interesting. The character in that video seemed so mysterious and charming. I didn't even have the chance to fall asleep because it was so enjoyable to watch. Loving these videos and hope you get the attention you deserve, Dreamscape!
This was genuinely impressive. There is no need to do this much vfx and overlaying dialogues and characters responding to each other and all but this is what separates you from the rest! Make more like these!

Idk what it is about visors that makes them so dope, but Cyclops is my favourite X-Men, and I remember thinking Geordi from Star Trek was so cool, just because of their visors lmao. Great video as always! Side-note: The background music has a very 90's JRPG vibe to it. Really reminded me of Legend of Dragoon, specifically.

I've watch this video a few times allready and it always makes me feel different, like this asmr is unique, the whisper, the ambience, the mini music in that cyber club (if somebody knows the name of the soundtrack plz tag me). This asmr makes me feel that im inside of cyberpunk world! (Sorry for my bad english).
It's so strange obviously it's so hard to make character talking to each other look realistic, and events tho you did it really well, this strangeness that remains is so fascinating to me, I can describe it by think of being in a video game, if this was the whole concept of movie I would 100 wanna watch it, is really really cool

There's so much that goes on behind these videos. From matching the lighting to the bg scene, to having multiple characters on screen. Really amazing stuff. Also what was the name of the music you had going on in the bg at the start? Almost sounded like a clock ticking.
Absolutely! I appreciate you noticing. The audio production is so tedious because I do everything after the fact. I used three songs total and unfortunately I don’t remember the names at this moment 🥲 I use Soundstripe (a royalty-free, professional music service) for my scores now. I think the first one is called phases but I can’t remember the artist.
It's the first time I see a video from this channel and legit for the first minute or so I was trying really hard to tell if it's four people or just one person four times

I think this and the vampire lounge are my favorite videos from you. Not just for the real technical skill at play with the interactions or the variety of looks, but also just for the concept of having a group of friends in an unfamiliar environment. It plays well with the positive affirmations you always give the viewer, even if some of the characters are a little less fond of each other. 😂
And I appreciate that you're always able to find the warmth in settings where that isn't easy to find.

This is just so good. The amount of effort in these videos show. I loved the futuristic bartender video, found it so relaxing and interesting. The character in that video seemed so mysterious and charming. I didn't even have the chance to fall asleep because it was so enjoyable to watch. It's so strange obviously it's so hard to make character talking to each other look realistic, and events tho you did it really well, this strangeness that remains is so fascinating to me, I can describe it by think of being in a video game, if this was the whole concept of movie I would 100 wanna watch it, is really really cool

Absolutely! I appreciate you noticing. The audio production is so tedious because I do everything after the fact. I used three songs total and unfortunately I don’t remember the names at this moment 🥲 I use Soundstripe (a royalty-free, professional music service) for my scores now. I think the first one is called phases but I can’t remember the artist.
