I cant believe how many people that cant swim get in the water.
Even if you are a strong swimmer, you can be killed. Even people in kayaks can be killed by a strainer. It's a rock or tree branch or other hazard that allows water to flow under it, but will pin your body/boat against the rock with so much pressure that a rescue team can't even pull your body out with ropes.
The river is not deceiving stay out
Auburn is in placer county
Most drowning victims dont know how to swim

Why do these people keep drowning
Because they don't listen or read the warnings, and they're stupid. This happens EVERY year, and every year people die as a result. INSANITY.

The signs need to be in more languages...aparantly

LEARN ENGLISH.
I think even with 10 signs of different languages people don't care or just don't care to read. No sign is going to stop them for getting in the water
And don't be drinking beer all day and getting brave to get in the water
