My name is Jasmine and I have relocated from Sydney Australia to Ghana in west Africa as of the year 2020.
My parents are of Ghanaian descent and so am I although I was born in Australia. Here on my channel, my goal is to give you a real glimpse into what it’s like to live in Ghana and other parts of Africa, from the food, to the culture, to the lifestyle and everything in between. My goal is to satisfy your curiosity about Ghana and other African countries.
My prayer is that these videos do just that for several African’s in the diaspora.
Follow your bliss because life is short, follow your bliss because human life has no intrinsic value, follow your bliss because everything happens for the greater good and follow your bliss because it has all happened before.

They have done an awesome job. This is exactly what my husband has done in our community. We have discussed it with our brother Douglas over the phone. Period. We can come in with new eyes as my husband has. He tells the people that if you wait for government to come and do something you might be gone before they actually get around to it and you will not enjoy The benefits but if we come together and solve our issues now, we can enjoy. Our road was not able to be crossed at certain times during rainy season now we are able to cross it anytime to the organization of ourselves and helping ourselves little by little we have also installed lights and are working on getting public waterlines for thosewanting to connect to it through our section of our community. We have also met a lot of people this way, and learned about the businesses they have which we patronize now it is win win win all around.

This family is what you call inspiring, even the young ones have an open mindset. Folks need to stop complaining about every little problem, instead use that problem and create a business to get a solution. The western counties was not always as it's seems, they were built up by immigrants with their ideas and inventions, the same can be done with other developing countries.

Very nice and informative video and one thing they mentioned is the hospitals and I'm glad they talked about that because one thing a lot of people out there in the diaspora get misinformed is that they think Africa don't have good hospitals and medical care so it will be great jasmine if you could do some hospital vlogs and have conversation with the best hospitals, it's locations and even interview the doctors, nurses and the patients about how they feel and their experiences to clear the air about the mindset of some diasporas. Hope you will consider doing this Ama Jasmine.

I'm inspired by your story. My friend lives in Switzerland and they are also leaving to go for good to Southern Africa, they finished building. However, You don't need Chlorine in your water, that is fresh water from underground not dirty water like in Germany or UK, they use chlorine to recycle dirty water, they add chlorine as a mask to return the same water back to houses to use hence they drink toilet water and they have the audacity to charge people for this. Check it out. Only filter your water and drink your pure water. Search about chlorine from whistleblowers like Thames water, Anglian water or Scottish water, and see pictures

Awesome... This interview (more like a reality TV show) is so interesting, riveting and inspiring to watch. I can't believe I watched an hour plus UA-cam video with such delight that I lost track of time. Thank you Jasmine for this content. Very apt. I am Nigerian but I fell in love with Ghana because of this interview even though I have always had a soft spot for this 'twin brother' country of ours.
But more importantly watching this man's family sparked a new kind of flame in me - A renewed love for Africa and a sudden desire to have a big family. I have always been a small family advocate (for obvious reasons) despite coming from a family of nine myself and being a firm believer in the traditional family. I'm married with only one child and it was so by choice. But this video here birthed a new perspective and unlocked my spirit in a different way.
Many thanks to Mr. Douglas Nimoh and his beautiful family for letting us into their lives. God bless your home.

Good choice. Many from the diaspora get settled in or near Accra. It is A bad choice. The best place to get settled is the suburbs of Kumasi. The weather is good. Good schools, meaningful jobs or business. It is a combination of both urban and rural life. You can make a simple life and yet you don't lack anything. You can arrange to have good security..

Lovely family and so happy that you just remotely guided their conversation and this opened them to so much comfort discussing their experiences.
There's life in Africa. A message we can now send to those doubting our achievements and advances as a continent.

Gbam-Gbam I really love the story well-well. The special thing I have in common with the father was the year he left Ghana in 1989 was the year I left Nigeria to the United States on a tennis 🎾 scholarship. It so happened that my semi retirement property in 9ja is 90 percent done. Looking forward to returning “JAPADA” next year. I wish the family well❤
