In our game on Brandywine, my toon had his adopted through a notary, so on my character biography, it shows our characters connected. I don't have access to his account. I don't know his passwords. When I transfer, will it remove the "father of" title and biography inclusion? I assume it will since his toon will still be on Brandywine when I move to Glamdring. Does SSG have a policy about claiming a deceased family member's account? It's one of the few things I still have left of him.
I have transfered multiple times since firefoot closed down years ago and have always kept everything on my biography, "father of" a guy that is from 2008 before moria launched. You should be fine
Since we're condensing characters from multiple servers, on one account, increasing character slots,, can we PLEASE have an increase in the currency caps??? 10k ancient script is not nearly enough for 12+ characters.
Better question when will you add 2 step authentication be added, i've had friends lose their accounts due to accounts being stolen and not being able to get them back
as seen by the admin character, a new character is just FULL of stuff (i have to log in twice to obtain everything at this point), is it possible to have that go to a personal escrow, or at least put 1c on everything so that we can sell all the unneeded items?
Regarding lore-appropriate names on RP servers, why make it more difficult for everyone by allowing any random trolling name? RP should be RP. I don't want to ruin my immersion by grouping with a character named "Seymourbutts". These little things really ruin RP servers. Don't be lazy, keep RP for RP players.
There is an option to Transfer "Shared" items on the Server. Basically Transfers are ''Characters + Shared". Gotta select each Character you want to go to X Server and then if you want the ''Shared'' Items, Wallet, etc. for that server too.
Most likely the 4 upcoming 64-bit Servers, 2 per Region (US & EU), will see a lot of activity for Day 1 & Week 1. This will mostly be because people are transferring, getting in, sorting things like Housing, Kinships, etc. Once we are a bit out from launch things will settle down a bit more so things shouldn't be "crowded 24 hours a day". The main thing will be that at "any given time" there will be more Players on any New & Free 64-bit Server than any current 32-bit Server. So yes, 100% will be a very busy Launch Day, Launch Week, and Launch Month but it'll settle down a bit as time goes on. We also will have Update 43, the Spring Festival, Update 44, and the 18th Anniversary coming in the next few months too, so that will cause the "amount of Players" to go up.
So there's going to be a huge number of almost empty neighborhoods as people will spread out until all the prime houses are sold out. I know this is a double edged sword, but I was hoping we'd see more lively neighborhoods. Unfortunately, we're hamstrung by the poor decisions when initially designing the neighborhoods.
Been a VIP non stop since since day 1 - Then last the game made me lose my premium house (not possible if VIP) - and the the support and Coord done piss all to help. Despite me not being the only one this happened to. So I couldn't give a F*CK about all that is coming to LotRO - moved on to something else. Very sickened by this non-support for a game and universe I adore.
0.5% chance for Gold jewellery in new instances is still really stupid, People can get lucky with first tries meanwhile you can do 30 of them and get nothing
2FA (Two-factor Authentication) is something they've discussed that will happen for LOTRO. They are still working to do this as other projects such as a future "LOTRO Launcher Update" have to happen first. How they will do their 2FA isn't known right now (January 2025).
My questions are very simple... When will you SSG, STOP treating high level characters as if they were level 13??? I have been playing with a Lv. 144 L-M and the level of little... Nit Picky COMPLETELY USELESS quests (at least as far as the 3 peaks expansion is concerned) is basically DEGRADING! Since when is it OK (or even fun) to pick up sticks and twigs to make a fire for some Dwarves who are basically just standing there WAITING FOR YOU to make a fire for them, and then to add INSULT to injury - be then "tasked" to make THEIR tents up for them TOO!!! This is as far as I can tell - just SSG being LAZY quest writing!!! This is just ONE example of a FAR bigger problem you have that frankly is SO DEGRADING I wonder if I should just STOP playing entirely! Just as you have from level 101 on up DESTROYED the entire CRAFTING system we all worked hard on! What was wrong with the way it was from levels 1 to 100? Why did you think it was a "good" idea to TAKE OUT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM in favor of ONLY being able to have to use the different guilds ONLY, then to WRECK it more by making ANY recipe a SINGLE USE ONLY??? Look, I may be coming to the "party" late here but I was there AT THE BEGINNING - DAY ONE OF THIS GAME LAUNCHING some 18+ YEARS AGO! I am a LIFETIME VIP, who back in the day paid $300 for this VIP privilege but I had to take almost a decade OFF for REAL LIFE reasons... but it does not change the fact that LOTRO "had" a working SYSTEM for crafting that did IN FACT WORK! Why you would ever think we the players would be on board with the way it is now just eludes me. And I have to be HONEST with you SSG, the SHEER NUMBER OF THESE LOOT BOXES we get DUMPED WITH on an HOURLY BASIS is just a JOKE! On AVERAGE, I get MORE of those STUPID boxes THAN I DID WHEN WE WERE STILL GETTING CRAFTING RECIPES! At least up to level 100 these crafting items would not take up more and more space in the players bags (AND you could make all your OWN GREAT gear!), and they would stack... but these LOOT BOXES, THEY TAKE UP SPACE to the point that every 15 or so mins. I have to STOP the GAME to REMOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM because if I don't then I end up with the second problem of taking WAY LONGER TIME to really SIFT through ALL THE JUNK when it ALL lands in the OVERFLOW Bags!!! NO - BODY LIKES THESE LOOT BOXES!!! YOU ARE DOING THIS FOR ONE REASON - TO MAKE MORE REAL $$$! I bet you have LOST more players to this ONE thing ALONE than for any other reason. And now you want to buy all these nice shiny new 64-bit servers... FOR WHAT? Is the game going to look & RUN 100% better? Will we have to PAY for the privilege of using these servers? And MOST IMPORTANTLY will the CONTENT of the game get 100% BETTER as well??? I bet the REAL answer to these questions is a big N.O.! (except for the using the new servers - there WE will have to pay with an arm and a leg for it!). While SSG is NOT Blizzard and WOW at least they keep up with the times for the most part! I'm just wondering where all the fun went here in LOTRO... Now a days, SSG is only caring what they want the game to be instead of the PLAYERS driving content - most of the "old timers" such as myself have ALL moved on YEARS ago so the newer players don't remember how things USED to be (it was better). And frankly, it is not hard to figure out why, and that's just sad. :(
Your comment is a big wall of text & hard to read so I'm not going to comment on "everything" you have stated but keep in mind that the "Player Character" of LOTRO is a "background hero". We're a side story, a minor part, a worker of deeds unsung. If the "Main Characters" say jump, we say "How high?" The New & FREE 64-bit Servers are that: FREE. Nobody has to pay to play on them. Transfers to them will be Free until August 31st, 2025.
@@harvain731 Agree with the previous reply; the 64-bit servers are free, and just because your character got to level 100-something doesn't mean you suddenly get treated like royalty by NPCs. Also, to add: Use your item filter if you don't want to have to keep dealing with lootboxes in your bags. I forget the default hotkeys for filters; alt+R perhaps?
@ Yes by default Alt+R is the Filter Option. Also can be accessed from the ^ Icon in the bottom left of the SKill Bar. So one could filter lootboxes Per Character/Server and never worry about such again.
In other words, if you are transferring- It's all on you and we'll do our best (sort of) /shrug! I see no upside to the headaches involved with Transferring and it's obvious SSG's doesn't care enough to even bother addressing people's concerns. And I've seen enough people talking about it in-game to know I'm not the only one that thinks so.
the frustration is real but most servers are absolute ghost towns at this point and its really hard to coordinate a big merge like this while keeping everyone happy
@@12crows1 They did try, the main issue is how various Systems are setup such as the Housing System. It's not perfect but this is why players "manually" having to Transfer and deal with their Characters, any Houses, etc. is the optimal way to go about it.
I agree 100 % try talking to their cs it’s useless. I still have no idea what’s going on and I’m concerned I will end up losing items / name in this transfer and you know damn well if something gets messed up their gonna tell you it’s on you like you said. Pretty shite devs imo
@ They have an FAQ out about this for how it will work. They also talked about it in said +Cord of the Rings Stream. VIPs for example will have a day where they are able to "Create up to 3 Characters per 64-bit Server to reserve a name". So there is a method there if you are worried about your "most important names". Customer Support is like any of them out there. Plenty say they suck, others say they are amazing. Just recently I've seen several people complimenting the CS about helping them & how quick it was.
They only support 3 Languages: English, French, and German. They've not really discussed adding more Official Languages so it's not that they are ignoring anyone. Also bringing it up on the LOTRO Forums would likely get a response.

How does transfer of items in the Wardrobe work?

They have no given a date for when the New & Free 64-bit Servers are happening. This was discussed in the video. FAQ will also not have a date.
