    This is definitely the video I've been looking for. I appreciate all of the work and explanation you put into this. Im also inspired that another brother is out there doing this. Each time im out for macro shots, im the only one doing it. Thanks again, much appreciated.

    Just one more thing I would add and that is it's good to have image stabilisation in the lens or camera for when you just can't get fast enough shutter speeds with narrow aperture in average light. Perfectly thorough otherwise though.

    Great video....My problem is always WIND. Somehow, the places where there are lots of insects are always in a windy location

    Very well explained, nice music (though none is needed). I'm glad that you have a passion for photography.
    I'm very much enjoying using a Tokina atx-i 100mm F2.8 macro lens, which I've attached to my lightest weight Canon camera, the Rebel T-3, instead of the heavier 7D Mark II. Sometings, I'll add extension tubes, depending on my needs.

      Now I'm thinking that your attraction is more to the infinite variety of insects, their anatomy and coloration, and you use photography as a tool to "capture" them, would that be correct?@@Xx7trey

    So myny pics for such a narrow dof. Are you using the smallest interval whrn focus bracketing or are you really always shooting those pictures manually (and rock back and forth with your camera) ?

    • @Xx7trey
      @Xx7trey  Рік тому +1

      With my old nikon camera, all my focus stacks were manual since that camera didn’t have focus bracketing. With my Olympus, majority of my stacks I will use focus bracketing

    EXCELLENT photos! EXCELLENT content! I learned a great deal. I look forward to watching more of your videos (and photos). I'm curious: why is "trey" in your UA-cam name? Is it your real name/nickname? I ask because I've only met 7 folk named Trey in my lifetime. We've officially not met, but if you are named trey, you are number 8.
    Cheers! Trey Demmond (mine is a birth-given nickname; I rarely can hear my real name; I finally made it my professional name).

    When the subject is underexposed, it does not look sharp enough.
    This is one of the reasons as well.

      You’re right. I should’ve brought that up in this video
