I like this song it definitely sounds like two kids exploring a place they aren’t supposed to be but they aren’t scared at all despite the mystery. They’re bright and full of curiosity!
And the forest itself is a little "magical" too (hence why they're exploring it in the first place) The 8-bit sounds make it feel like a song taken from... Ok i don't have any good example of an old game but it does sound like some goofy adventure game with acctually incredible story and likeable places and characters. So kind jf what Pokémon games are supposed to be.. in short, it's Pokémon but way better
we all know this game has plenty of flaws but luckily the music is top tier as always. for one of the first themes you hear in the game this is incredible, the atmosphere and tension/mystery of the melody mixed with the cries of the legendaries wolfs was such a nice touch.
The flaws in SW/SH are the same with other Pokemon games, they're just easier to see here cause the series is on a more highly advanced platform. If anything, SW/SH fixed more of its in game mechanics rather than take them away. The next leap needs to be a big one to justify it being behind though.
Something coding wise that erks me is that shiny models are separate from regular models, thus taking up more space. Because of this Alcremie has like 60+ separate models, each for the different textures and decorations. Cramorant also has Pikachu and it's fish loaded in all three forms even if it switches model just for those forms. Yes. There are six Cramorant models and each have a fish AND a Pikachu. That is just poor coding.
@@am_infinite I don't remember the other Pokémon games having half of the pokédex cut because this game was out 2 years before the development could finish tho
Slumbering Weald is by far my favorite passive pokemon theme in a long time. It just sounds so pleasant and beautiful, truly an amazing piece, right alongside the Hotel theme.
A bit emotional for me but this past month sucked. Friend's father was fighting cancer for over a month. She even streamed from the hospital and used your music as a playlist. My father had a heart attack and was hospitalized. He died this November 7th. I didn't find out until the 12th. I grieved practically that whole week. When I was able to put the tears away, and the funeral and burial had passed... my friend's father joined him. The grieving didn't stop, even past Thanksgiving. But you post this and its pretty calming and fitting. They're at peace now. This music helps me breathe.
I'm terribly sorry to hear the news of them passing but fortunate to know you and your father's friend found comfort and enjoyment in my works. They're in a much better place now, and may they rest in peace.
I like how the theme reflects the peaceful ideologies of the wolves and how serene the Slumbering Weald really is, then when the howling kicks in it reminds you that this is the home of two Legendary Pokemon powerful enough to rival Eternatus at its strongest.
Its the slumbering weald of all places. Its not the fuckin Wild Area that HAS Bagpipes to begin with. At least in the theme of the wild area. Not a findable item that you'd use in oh i dont know the middle of fuckin Hammerlocke and blast some random tunes and make a ruckus! But all that was a joke. Also sorry for my bad language.
