Before VAG came out with this platform Cupras were already wickedly fast - and my food has been eaten more than a few times by the axe-murderers who drive them hunting for innocent blood on them twisty backroads. To see what VRS Performance have done with that Cupra is incredible. Worse yet - the very thought of Cupras out there in the wild with north of 550BHP gives me the chills...
Who needs a Lambo. I'd rather have something similar to this, and still have enough left over for a house.

Im glad he mentioned the 335d x drive , those along with the 435d x drive once mapped are so capable , probably some of the most impressive cars on the road at the moment with duel personalities , remapped 435d x drive grand touring would probably be my pick

Gen3 2.0 tsi is an incredible engine. Of course you need a good tune and the right hardware to have a reliable result, as well as a strict maintenance plan.
Only problem I have with this is
It has the golf r engine
He’s converted it to 4WD
It’s basically a golf r with a cupra shell
It’s took the cupra element away from the car what separates it from the golf r and S3, it’s FWD system
CupraBoss let's be honest it makes it superior
CupraBoss it's a one off which makes it more special than the others
It's now a wolf in sheep's clothing kind of analogy
I thought they both shared the same engine he just added awd of the golf I could be wrong.
But it looks like a Seat, which is good.

How does it feel compared to the big power, larger engine cars you have been in such as the tuned M5's or even your Tuned F80 once rolling? Whilst these smaller engines are incredible, I always find the larger engines pull harder from big speeds which is probably due to gearing and more torque...

Darkside development do some mad tuning on diesel engines. I'm sure they said the 1.9 PD engine are highly tunable but it all comes down to cooling

I only have the 150bhp 1.4 tsi turbo DSG Leon and it is also pretty effortless on acceleration for such a small engine (well up to about 80 mph anyway) I've had many boy racers disappear pretty easily in the mirror when you give the accelerator a prod, I think the light weight and DSG combined with the great torque really helps these cars. I would say to anyone with similar engines Skoda/Seat/VW/Audi tsi's with turbo charger "try some Esso premium plus" it REALLY DOES make these cars run well, in fact it's the best fuel I've tried so far in my Seat.

You should put more clips of slo motion scrolling round the car, featuring the performance parts with a bumping sound track.
Ridiculous.......the premium you pay for a car with a german ENGINE is justified when you can tune them to this level power with no engine mods.....remember us ricky when you get to 3.5m subscribers 😂

Indigo Foxx Engineering is not just a fucking engine. I'm a truck engineer, I have nothing to do with engines. Engineering is the manufacturing process as a whole, it being made by the Spanish makes it Spanish engineering with a German engine. I don't see Australians calling a Holden "American engineering" because it's got a Chevy LS in it..

The guy in the video said that you'd have to work hard in an Evo because it doesn't have a DSG gearbox,but that's wrong as the Mitsubishi Evo X SST does come with a twin clutch gearbox !

Ellie Green no I think they are slightly different although the same ltr etc - when I say 335d on windy road and 640d 0-60 I’m just making reference to the curb weight difference - don’t think they do a 6 in x drive either
I have Skoda Superb 2.0 TSI 280 4x4 with exactly the same engine and I can just say that this engine is soooo goood and so refined

Amazing car, and I love how they’ve made it AWD like the golf R. Sadly I don’t think (from what I can see on the video) that it is exciting as the JB4 M140i/M240i or even the crazy Pure Turbo M135i previously owned by Author. I guess maybe because it’s a 4 banger. Please don’t hate on my opinion but I think it’s an amazing car, the styling is awesome - those OZ wheels are to die for! There’s just something missing for me and it’s that 6 Cylinder snarl!!
I think VRS have already swapped out the 4pot gen 3 ea888 for the 5pot audi engine in one of these for higher hp gains and a great sound also, I think its all because bm's are rwd that gives you more drama plus the straight 6 turbo

3 years late, but how did you guys go about making it AWD? just used a donor Golf R haldex system? I'm interested as I have a cupra 290 DSG with plans for racingline ECU tune to 365BHP.
I would love AWD without having to change car if its cheaper/same cost.
