I just have one question: What does energy have anything to do with race? What does gas have to do with a black or white person? I'm just wondering this? Does gas discriminate? Some of the oil removed from our reserve WAS SOLD TO OTHER COUNTRIES AND DID NOTHING TO LOWER GAS PRICES IN AMERICA. THE RESERVE WAS NOT Created FOR RESALE OUTSIDE OF THE USA. THE RESERVE WAS CREATED FOR USE BY AMERICA.

When we are putting oil out the price comes down. When the government stops us from procuring oil it rises the cost, the government is anti oil right now which is part of why the price is so high.

Ukraine was not the reason oil prices spiked. I said before, the emploded import market and dock crisis was the reason prices shot up. Shutting down domestic production on top of this man made crisis was the reason.

What is the cost of not getting batteries and panels from sources based on slave labor? How does it compete then? There is no use comparing the costs based on their production in China. What is the 1 to 1 cost of producing enough energy (including the low times) completely within the US?
I don’t have specific figures but from what I read the cost would increase 5-7 fold if sourced in USA using prevailing wages

...so the landfills that all of the batteries end up in full of toxic chemicals are going to be good for the planet/ climate? And they become unusable faster in really hot humid or cold climates, so say Florida and Wisconsin and many more. Not to mention they struggle to hold a charge or heat or cool then, it'll be nice when the battery is out of charge before the windshield is defrosted, or dead before the end of a work shift because cold drains it...and there are many times the power is out for days because of blizzards, it'll be great being stranded and freezing then.
That has got to be wrong. Stating only the representatives can be protected from slured speach and not pointing out a represenative is using such speech.
I disagree with miss Bushe's stating focal fule disproportionately effect people of color. That has no business or grounds to exist in this hearing.
Also, the panel needs to be reminded they answer questions as posed to them with no imblishments in an attempt to not answer.
I would also like to point out 100% of the SPR was paid for by American citizens. The SPR should only go to US citizens and military.
There is even a hole in the deployment rules which can allow huge blocks of oil to be granted to a non refining company where that oil can end up being sold to China through a black market. If you bave not done your research, you need to.
The SPR was not designed for that oil to end up in non US markets. It was designed to stay here at home.
The global market price would still be effected, lowered, but Americans would hold on to their oil they paid for.

Fighting over clean energy is mute. If there are those that want EV, have at it. The rest of us will use our fossil fuels.
I also want to know when EVs are going to pay their fair share of road and other taxes levied at the pump. There must be some conversion levied on EV pumps, home owners whom charge at home, etc.

OK, prices are based in future markets. What happens if the refined oil is not sold back? Do we get all our oil back? That does not help US supply markets which is where our oil co.es from.

To keep asking him the same questions over and over was unnecessary. I wanted to hear more from the other two. I wanted to hear how the recommendations for replenishing the reserve, ideas on how to convince this administration that oil prices need to come down, and more discussion about how this administration caused gas prices to rise unnecessarily.

We are moving towards renewables but it can't be done over night. The only way we will get there is by having fuel for companies to expand and for peoples energy needs with out causing them economic harms. Which we are coming out of from covid 19.
The amount of coal ,iron and other precious medals and the energy to get those out of the ground using oil and gas needed for each wind mill is the amount of energy the wind mill will put out before needing replacement with another windmill so it becomes a no sum game.

If oil and gas is a global market, it seems the only reason that renewables would not be a global market is their inability to be transferred. Why not just offer drilling licenses with conditions of a percentage for the internal market? Global unlimited free trade is not good in this case any more than it is for outsourcing to slave labor.
