0:04 - Various characters prepare themselves to watch Channel 5 News on various devices: A happy couple in front of a television in their house; A male teenager listening and watching on their mobile phone on a bus from school; An elderly lady at the bank watching from the bank's television; A homeless woman watching from a technology store television display; And an anxious middle-aged, unkempt man, nervously pacing around his sofa in his decrepit flat. 0:27 - On the devices two news hosts, a blonde female and smartly dressed man, appear. The female serious and the male gleefully smiling. The male begins to speak; "Tonight at 10, the world is ending again and we know why and when, so you better watch." The male spins to the side and the camera cuts to a medium shot of him as he continues; "We got a bit with some feminist chick and also a picture of a starlet's crotch." 0:39 - The camera cuts back to the long shot of both hosts and the female, sorrowfully says; "Two people died, a double homicide; Their bodies found in a wishing well." She then spins to the side, camera cuts to a medium shot again and she continues: "And we tackle the flaws in these obesity laws in this segment that's sponsored by Taco Bell" 0:50 - The camera cuts back to the long shot and they both exclaim; "We've got violence, danger, sex, and drugs," 0:53 - The camera cuts to a mid-closeup on the male, grinning and enthusiastically saying; "And it's awesome 'cos all of it's real!" 0:56 - Cut back to the long shot. They say together; "We do the illusion of news and while you think you're choosing the views that you feel..." 1:01 - Closeup on the female who says; "All of this and more and live." 1:02 - Closeup on the male who says; "Only on the channel 5 News!" 1:04 - Cut to each of the viewers we expressed in the first shots: The happy couple is disturbed by an argument; The teenager notices a hooded man squaring up against a smaller teen who is denying something nervously; The elderly lady is unbeknownst to a group outside the bank who are applying balaclavas and preparing small firearms; The homeless woman receives some spare change from a lady who then stops to watch the news through the window; And the middle-aged man is looking through the closed blinds of a nearby window, while counting cash in his hand. 1:23 - Cut back to the news studio. Mid-closeup on the male who says; "We've got Chip Walker live at the scene with breaking news! Chip are you there?" 1:27 - Cut to Chip Walker, a blonde, twenty-five-year-old male field reporter. Behind him is a corner shop with blue and red flashing lights reflecting from the windows. "This Iraqi guy's shop," as an image of an Iraqi man appears next to his wife, two children, and the elderly lady from the bank, "Seemed a newsworthy spot so we've been gathering shots here for quite some time." 1:38 - Cut to a small clip of a handheld camera filming the oldest daughter from the image as she passes. Once she does, the camera focuses on her behind before being dragged to face the Iraqi guy, rightfully upset about the situation. 1:44 - Cut back to Chip Walker, frowning while saying; "Then he struck my chest and now he's under arrest and now you people have one less man to fear." 1:49 - Cut to shots of the Iraqi man's wife and children crying and begging to the police officers who are using tasers and batons although the man is showing no sign of resistance before being forcefully shoved into the police car. 1:56 - Cut to an over-the-shoulder-shot of the hurt and regretful Iraqi man as he is driven away from the scene. First focusing on the Iraqi man's face and then on his family and the field reporter falling behind him. 2:00 - Cut back to Chip Walker from the cameraman's perspective. He exclaims; "More as this develops live only on the Channel 5 News!" 2:03 - Shots of each of the audience members again: The couple is still arguing and it escalates until the female pushes the male and he retaliates by hitting her in the face; The teenager experiences the hooded male shout at the smaller teen until finally pulling out a knife and stabbing him multiple times in the abdomen, leaking blood out onto the bus floor; Within the bank a gun is shot into the air as the masked group enter and everyone drops to the ground, the elderly lady struggling to lower herself quickly; The homeless woman can now barely see the televisions as a crowd is beginning to form around the window; And the decrepit apartment is empty. Red and blue flashing lights can be seen emitting from outside the window. 2:17 - Cut back to the news studio. Mid-closeup on the blonde female who says; "We go now to Max Stevens with the weather for the weekend. What are we looking at here, Max: Umbrellas or picnic baskets? Max? Max!" 2:26 - Cut to a long shot of outside a window. The sky has grown dark with clouds and a long bolt of lightning is seen. *REST IN REPLIES*
2:27 - Shot of the television in the couple's house which now displays a technical difficulties image. Both members of the couple notice and calm down to see what is wrong. Lightning flashes from outside making them both jump; The male teenager is huddled in the corner of his seat with his hand over his mouth trying not to look at the body as he notices the technical difficulties image appear; Every television in the bank now shares the technical difficulties image. The elderly lady has a hand to her chest and is hyperventilating; The homeless woman is trying to reach through the crowd to get a visual on what is happening on the televisions behind the window; The middle-aged man is driving down a road at high speeds with a determined and nervous look on his face, he notices a lightning bolt strike a lamppost nearby and tunes the radio to Channel 5 news. 2:47 - A suited man heads into a crowded news studio where many people surround Max Stevens, a skinny man in his fifties with messy grey hair and a stern look. The suited man informs the group; "Alright, we got a signal. Cut to Max." 2:49 - The television flickers back on to a medium shot of Max Stevens who says; "Good evening, hi. It's your weather guy. I advise you to buy another lightning rod." He begins to point out several places of interest on the map of the world behind him which appear to have 100% chance of flooding and high risk of lightning strikes as he continues; "We didn't catch this impending disaster. Maybe it's natural maybe it's God." 3:00 - Shot of the weather studio crew beginning to panic. The male presenter from the news studio exclaiming; "He's off script!" 3:00 - Cut back to the medium shot of Max Stevens who fiercely slams his hand at more places of origin as they begin to spread across the whole of the world map. "The sliding mud, the incoming flood will never was the blood from my greedy old hands!" Meanwhile, cut to shots of the audience members reacting in shock and worry and the weather studio crew who are panicking more and more. 3:06 - Cut back to Max Stevens, red-eyed and angry, holding his microphone tightly and closely to his face. The camera slowly pans in. "This job was fun. I had a pretty good run, but I've never been one to give in to demands." A commercial begins to start playing immediately after he says his final word. 3:12 - The once happy couple approach their window as we see the reflection of what is going on outside. Lightning flashes multiple times, fire and smoke towers over the buildings, rain pours down and the streets run with water like a river; The male teenager and rest of the bus passengers walk out of the bus into the outside which is littered with hail and people running up and down the busied pavement. Cracks can be seen appearing in the ground and it begins to shake; The bank is disturbed by the earthquake and the masked group evacuate after shooting two hostages. The elderly woman is on the floor wheezing as her heart fails her; The homeless woman is alone on the streets as she watches people sprint up and down, break into stores including the technology store, and panic. 3:27 - Cut to the Channel 5 News tower. The earthquake is undergo and most people are evacuating the building excluding Max Stevens who stands there, staring into space. The blonde, female host notices and hesitates before leaving with the rest of the group. They run down stairs, the male host taking the elevator, attempting to get to the exit and as the female host exits and stops to notice the current weather the tower collapses crushing her and anyone else who tried to evacuate before they could escape. 3:51 - Cut to the middle-aged man again who is now being chased by the police. He drives for a while to escape but to no avail. Cracks beneath his tires expand in the road and prevent the police cars from continuing pursuit allowing the man to escape. He parks the car next to a well-kept two story house and notices the owner's car is still outside. He heads up to the door in the rain and attempts to open it but it is locked shut. He heads back to his car, pulling a crowbar from his boot and attempts to crack the door open. When this fails he uses the crowbar to smash through the living room window. 4:11 - He climbs through. He looks around at the fairly tidy house even whilst being affected by an earthquake. He rushes up the stairs whilst urgently looking around him. He heads into a room with "Molly" written on the door in flowery text. Inside the room is decorated with pinks, purples, and whites; Flowers, fairies, and princesses. He heads up to the child-size bed which is empty and sits down hopelessly. He picks up a picture on the bedside table. It is a photograph of a young girl and the middle-aged man except he is well-dressed and well-looked-after. Cut to the outside of the house; Then the collapsed news station; The couple at their window, scared; The teenager shaking, soaking, and crawling on the cold, wet, and trembling ground; The elderly lady lifeless on the now empty bank floor; The homeless woman surrounded by death, destruction, and panic but unable to move; And then the entirety of several cities collapsing and smoking.
This is Bo’s most underrated song, honestly. He didn’t sing this during What, and I don’t think I’ve seen any videos of him singing this live, so it kinda slips under the radar unless you check out the What album
I can't stop thinking about the fact that the weatherman, the one with the most innocent seeming job there, was the one who couldn't take the blood on his "greedy old hands" anymore
The sliding mud The incoming flood Will never wash the blood From my greedy old hands! This job was fun, I had a pretty good run But I've never been one to give in to demands! People are angry, crying, sad, and lost And it's awful cause all of it's real!
NAH BRO!! BBC OVER HERE 'CROSS THE POND!! And ITV… and Channel 5… that's what the Simpsons is on over here. And it's true for all of them. England is messed up!
the whole "man to fear line" is so sick though because its diverting the viewers attention from the real injustices by the news company to what they're reporting on. the masses feel safe while the real thing goes unnoticed.
What fucks me up is that the only guy who says it's awful gets immediately cut off when he does. The truth cannot be shared. Reminds me of 1984? On a lesser scale of course, but we're progressing toward it.
wow... amazing that is exactly what the news always do. All the awful things that happened are "awesome" because are real. They don't care about all the suffering and pain of the victims or the audience, they just want have a High rating. In my country we see things like that everyday. Every day there are homicides, rapes, kidnapping, racism, sexism, violence and the sad part is that they are happy for that. Again: *Bo Burnham is a genius*
But dude it’s awesome because it means that more people will know and it’s what the world is, so news is telling us all this stuff not just for views or rating, but also you can know. That was pure reason the news was created. I’m sure that now they do it mostly for views and rating, but world’s bad stuff can be pretty interesting and is needed to be shared.
Not sure if anyone else relates, but for years i interpreted 'passed' as the shop owner's daughter actually dying somehow. Only recently did i even think of her just passing by (probably due to someones animatic.) I think this interpretation makes the connotations of the song even more screwed up. If perchance you're reading this comment, I'd be intrigued to hear what you think.
The weather part where he goes off script reminds me a lot of this issue where a newscaster killed herself live on TV, specifically calling out the fact that her network repeatedly brought the "latest of blood and guts" while disregarding the lives of those they were reporting on. The whole thing wore on her, and among other reasons it's why she did what she did. I wonder if it's a coincidence or if Bo took inspiration from it?
Got to respect Bo's non-lazy songwriting. It would have been so easy to rhyme at 5(o'clock) with Channel 5 in the chorus, but no, he went a little further to rhyme channel 5 with live. These small increments of effort combined with his talent and genius make his performances so great.
UHHH bo burnhams great yeah, but i dont think anyone would rhyme 5 with 5 cause its the same word? "Live" really isnt all that creative either at least for his awsome standards
I just noticed that in the “Please stand by” part as it’s glitching it starts to say “We stand by” as if it’s talking about the reporters ignoring the issues they are reporting on
Oh dang I didn't hear the "He's off-script, cut to a commercial. HE'S OFF SCRIPT. CUT TO A COMMERCIAL!" until the third time I listened to this and it hit hard
I love how so obvious yet subtle he makes the theme of this song, tackling the idea of the media controlling people but also still making it come off as a comedic, light hearted song. However following this logic now I must question bo, and wonder if he’s actually just manipulating my views and thoughts... 🤔
There’s something so beautiful about when the commercial break ends. With the “we’re back” it’s like the clouds part and the sun appears with the oooooooh
I remember when I was a child, the Bus Hostage Crisis thing happened at Quirino Grandstand not too far from me. The crisis was further worsened by the media because there was a TV inside the bus and the hostage taker had every information on what was happening. Several news channels gave him info about the snipers and where they were, what the police were doing, and they even went as far as to give him a live interview during the crisis. It shown how damn hungry the media was for that big thing, they didn't care about how their actions contributed to the lives lost that day.
the "The Musical" part really makes me think Starkid would do a parody spinoff based off this song (maybe like the background for the newscasters in TGWDLM?)
Mars Cassidy ohmygod that would actually be pretty good like especially with the background from tgwdlm I find that it’s be pretty fitting to everything

The male spins to the side and the camera cuts to a medium shot of him as he continues; "We got a bit with some feminist chick and also a picture of a starlet's crotch."
0:39 - The camera cuts back to the long shot of both hosts and the female, sorrowfully says; "Two people died, a double homicide; Their bodies found in a wishing well." She then spins to the side, camera cuts to a medium shot again and she continues: "And we tackle the flaws in these obesity laws in this segment that's sponsored by Taco Bell"
0:50 - The camera cuts back to the long shot and they both exclaim; "We've got violence, danger, sex, and drugs,"
0:53 - The camera cuts to a mid-closeup on the male, grinning and enthusiastically saying; "And it's awesome 'cos all of it's real!"
0:56 - Cut back to the long shot. They say together; "We do the illusion of news and while you think you're choosing the views that you feel..."
1:01 - Closeup on the female who says; "All of this and more and live."
1:02 - Closeup on the male who says; "Only on the channel 5 News!"
1:04 - Cut to each of the viewers we expressed in the first shots: The happy couple is disturbed by an argument; The teenager notices a hooded man squaring up against a smaller teen who is denying something nervously; The elderly lady is unbeknownst to a group outside the bank who are applying balaclavas and preparing small firearms; The homeless woman receives some spare change from a lady who then stops to watch the news through the window; And the middle-aged man is looking through the closed blinds of a nearby window, while counting cash in his hand.
1:23 - Cut back to the news studio. Mid-closeup on the male who says; "We've got Chip Walker live at the scene with breaking news! Chip are you there?"
1:27 - Cut to Chip Walker, a blonde, twenty-five-year-old male field reporter. Behind him is a corner shop with blue and red flashing lights reflecting from the windows. "This Iraqi guy's shop," as an image of an Iraqi man appears next to his wife, two children, and the elderly lady from the bank, "Seemed a newsworthy spot so we've been gathering shots here for quite some time."
1:38 - Cut to a small clip of a handheld camera filming the oldest daughter from the image as she passes. Once she does, the camera focuses on her behind before being dragged to face the Iraqi guy, rightfully upset about the situation.
1:44 - Cut back to Chip Walker, frowning while saying; "Then he struck my chest and now he's under arrest and now you people have one less man to fear."
1:49 - Cut to shots of the Iraqi man's wife and children crying and begging to the police officers who are using tasers and batons although the man is showing no sign of resistance before being forcefully shoved into the police car.
He exclaims; "More as this develops live only on the Channel 5 News!"
2:03 - Shots of each of the audience members again: The couple is still arguing and it escalates until the female pushes the male and he retaliates by hitting her in the face; The teenager experiences the hooded male shout at the smaller teen until finally pulling out a knife and stabbing him multiple times in the abdomen, leaking blood out onto the bus floor; Within the bank a gun is shot into the air as the masked group enter and everyone drops to the ground, the elderly lady struggling to lower herself quickly; The homeless woman can now barely see the televisions as a crowd is beginning to form around the window; And the decrepit apartment is empty.
Max? Max!"
2:26 - Cut to a long shot of outside a window.
Cut to Max."
2:49 - The television flickers back on to a medium shot of Max Stevens who says; "Good evening, hi. It's your weather guy. I advise you to buy another lightning rod." He begins to point out several places of interest on the map of the world behind him which appear to have 100% chance of flooding and high risk of lightning strikes as he continues; "We didn't catch this impending disaster. Maybe it's natural maybe it's God."
3:00 - Shot of the weather studio crew beginning to panic. The male presenter from the news studio exclaiming; "He's off script!"
3:00 - Cut back to the medium shot of Max Stevens who fiercely slams his hand at more places of origin as they begin to spread across the whole of the world map.
Cut to the outside of the house; Then the collapsed news station; The couple at their window, scared; The teenager shaking, soaking, and crawling on the cold, wet, and trembling ground; The elderly lady lifeless on the now empty bank floor; The homeless woman surrounded by death, destruction, and panic but unable to move; And then the entirety of several cities collapsing and smoking.
i took the time to read it and am not disappointed
I had the same idea as you. I could totally see this as some kind of film short.
dude get a life. this is cringey and sad
ellie bruh this is good wdym
This is Bo’s most underrated song, honestly. He didn’t sing this during What, and I don’t think I’ve seen any videos of him singing this live, so it kinda slips under the radar unless you check out the What album
Ya
"HE'S OFF SCRIPT CUT TO COMMERCIAL." ....Seriously, I love this song.
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
This one is so amazing... How does it not have more attention?
So catchy
So Good
So Underrated
It's Sad...
Yes...
It's not Sad, it's Channel 5 News: The Musical
Tahir Pervez I meant that it was under appreciated originally... but yes you're right
gOoD eVeNiNg Hi It'S yOuR wEaThEr GuY
Not funny or clickbait-y enough I guess
Max is a fucking savage
yup i am
Bruh xD
I can't stop thinking about the fact that the weatherman, the one with the most innocent seeming job there, was the one who couldn't take the blood on his "greedy old hands" anymore
"Tonight at ten the world is ending again" "We didn't catch this impending disaster, maybe it's natural, maybe it's god"
me in 2020: fucking topical!
this is my favorite song but it's so underrated and unnoticed
its unnoticed because it wasn't in the actual what. show and not nearly as many people listen to the cd
Mr Butter yeah true
Yeah
unboticed
feel like this song defiantly fits in the currant global situation
*Sigh* Bapanada.
im from the future mate the oceans still on fire
Been a fan of Bo for a while can't believe I just found this song, Max's part sounds so badass .
It's cuz it was in the what album but not in the show like eff
The sliding mud
The incoming flood
Will never wash the blood
From my greedy old hands!
This job was fun, I had a pretty good run
But I've never been one to give in to demands!
People are angry, crying, sad, and lost
And it's awful cause all of it's real!
The words of the only truth
2:48
someone send this to fox
+Poofefer Plays lol Fox is channel 5 where i live
OH
NAH BRO!! BBC OVER HERE 'CROSS THE POND!! And ITV… and Channel 5… that's what the Simpsons is on over here. And it's true for all of them. England is messed up!
Fox New is actually one of the most reliable news sources. Send this to CNN instead
The Hufflepuff. Incorrect. Simpsons is on Channel 4 and Sky 1.
after "maybe its god" you can hear one of them say "he's off script, he's off script, cut to commercial! HES OFF SCRIPT, CUT TO COMMERCIAL!!!!"
👍
Which is at 2:55 well a few seconds after but so you don't miss it
the whole "man to fear line" is so sick though because its diverting the viewers attention from the real injustices by the news company to what they're reporting on. the masses feel safe while the real thing goes unnoticed.
I always get chills when he says “we’re back”
I'm back and still waiting for the musical starring max stevens trying to escape the corruption in the news industry
The World Is Ending At Ten PM. More at 11
What fucks me up is that the only guy who says it's awful gets immediately cut off when he does. The truth cannot be shared. Reminds me of 1984? On a lesser scale of course, but we're progressing toward it.
What's 1984?
A novel by George Orwell
@@teclinsoro4523 "What's 1984" is like the most orwellian shit ever holy fuck
One of my favorite songs from Bo - super underrated.
wow... amazing that is exactly what the news always do.
Caty Pines I agree. And they ignore the suffering of some to push an agenda.
Oh dude. Are you English? I'm sure that's what the BBC does… I'm English. I'm not happy with ITV and BBC… it's not good bro.
you live in Iran, don't you.
Well, all the News needs to really do is report on the news. They don't care, and they shouldn't need to.
This is actually a beautiful song tbh
ONLY ON THE CHANNEL 5
New-hooowess
Not sure if anyone else relates, but for years i interpreted 'passed' as the shop owner's daughter actually dying somehow. Only recently did i even think of her just passing by (probably due to someones animatic.) I think this interpretation makes the connotations of the song even more screwed up. If perchance you're reading this comment, I'd be intrigued to hear what you think.
I also used to think this but after listening to it a few more times it clicked
This is so underrated, it's super catchy and good
This one he actually tried to do notes and harmony
He's actually an amazing singer, and I find it cool he doesn't try to show off in every way possible
This is still so relevant.
Yes
nO WAY DURING MAX'S PART PEOPLE ARE SCREAMING "HES OFF SCRIPT!''
icky they also say "cut to commercials" 2 times during his part
Oh crap
I know right!
They say "he's off script" 3 times & then "he's off script, cut to commercial" Twice.
This song feels so nostalgic, even though this is my first time listening this
Same here. It's got that 2000s feel.
Can we just appreciate bo's low notes
The weather part where he goes off script reminds me a lot of this issue where a newscaster killed herself live on TV, specifically calling out the fact that her network repeatedly brought the "latest of blood and guts" while disregarding the lives of those they were reporting on. The whole thing wore on her, and among other reasons it's why she did what she did. I wonder if it's a coincidence or if Bo took inspiration from it?
1 year late but... She killed herself because she had a history of being depressed and was also lonely her whole life
Got to respect Bo's non-lazy songwriting.
_Meat Cleaver_
When you search 'Channel 5 News' on YT, this song comes up before the Channel 5 News'
Bo has a pretty damn big range
UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The term is "fear mongering" for those who didn't know. It's using terrible or divisive topics to influence your views.
I just noticed that in the “Please stand by” part as it’s glitching it starts to say “We stand by” as if it’s talking about the reporters ignoring the issues they are reporting on
...it’s saying ‘please stand by’
@@ellie-rl5ik and that was the first thing he acknowledged
This is probably my favorite bo burnham song, I keep singing it under my breath
The only Bo song that actually makes my hair stand up, way too underrated.
This song is like dancing tap back and forth across the line between depression and comedy
I want to watch this news station now
it's every station
The point of this song is that it exposes society for it's dystopian truths
ceciliasalvaleon
You don’t have a very clear grasp of ‘Dystopian’
Gotta imagine the "Max? Max?!" before the hijacking is a nod to the Max Headroom takeover of those Illinois TV stations in '87.
He really shows the deeper parts of his voice in this song and I love it
Okay, the thunder during the weatherman's part is a nice touch! Nice job, Bo!
''We do the illusion of news and while you think you're choosing the views
That you feel...''
What a line
*ALL OF IT'S REAL*
MagicalFly don't you mean *NOTHING IS REAL*
"Musical Comedy" This is not comedy. I fucking love it.
"how did you go off script youve been practicing your lines for 3 months now"
"sir we figured out the weather yesterday"
"THAT DOESNT MATTER"
this needs to be back on spotify right now
Oh dang I didn't hear the "He's off-script, cut to a commercial.
2:49 you can tell its the music chorus from the end of "oh my god" 💃🕺💃🕺
I still cannot believe how much this song bangs
More as this develops live
Onnnly on the channel 5 news.
There’s something so beautiful about when the commercial break ends. With the “we’re back” it’s like the clouds part and the sun appears with the oooooooh
This littarly the 2020 theme song
To think I stumbled into Bo´s music from the Geometry Dash level ''Eff''. Now I´m a fan.
yeah
Same, Bo is awesome
I found him when my really innocent friend sent me songs from what. needless to say i don't view her as innocent anymore
I think I found out about him because of his vines. Half my favourite vines were actually by Bo.
I found him from a gravity falls left brain right brain animatic.
Is it just me or at the end is he going "baa baa baa", to imply the notion of 'sheeple'?
Yellow Stalk Nah, it's "blah, blah, blah" to blatantly point out that they aren't important or productive .
Ah, couldn't hear the L. Cheers. Both would be pretty clever though.
Yellow Stalk sounds like "blah blah blah"
Yellow Stalk I thought it was “Fox fox fox”
channel 5 is fox news for me.
oh
Woodland Fox ha, ur the fox
for me it's CNN, Not getting political... I just don't like them
Crazy like fox news
Makoe 69th like
It’s NBC for me
When max is singing in the background bo is screaming:READ THE SCRIPT, KEEP TO THE SCRIPT, and THATS NOT THE SCRIPT.
the "The Musical" part really makes me think Starkid would do a parody spinoff based off this song (maybe like the background for the newscasters in TGWDLM?)
Mars Cassidy ohmygod that would actually be pretty good like especially with the background from tgwdlm I find that it’s be pretty fitting to everything
Some time stamps
2:18 Where they introduce Max/ the please stand by part
2:49 Max’s verse starts
thats it, i'm only watching the channel 8 news for now on
back here bc all the songs from what. were taken off spotify 😫😫😫
Same
The messages in bo songs is just on a whole other level
"The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers." - Thomas Jefferson
my favorite quote ever. Most of our founding fathers hated the media and their fake news.
OMG!!! I just realized that the homicide line where they were found in a wishing well is actually about suicide, cause they wished they were dead.
Idk why but Bo’s voice is so nostalgic-
The "ooh," on the interlude in the chorus is the same notes as Oh my god by bo Burnham, this is one of three songs that shoe how our faith in humanity is what we shouldn't have
is no one gonna mention that the "ba ba ba" bit could be a reference to the whole "sheeple" thing?
