Great content, Nice to know IT companies work very similar to each other. I work in an Data Center infrastructure provider and the day to day looks exactly the same. Thank you for sharing
Been working as a platform engineer for like 5 years now and recently applied for a role with amazon, fingers crossed! I realised my best skills are definitely problem solving and helping/coordinating with others so the day to day seems like a great fit. Wishing you all the best now that you're going full time on your channel, this video is excellent so going by this youre going to do great. I actually found this video from your LinkedIn post 😁
Looks like I may be getting an offer as an Associate Cloud Architect! Your videos definitely helped me prep and build expectations! Do you always work from an office? My position will be fully remote at least to start with in my case... Thanks for the great content and consistency!
As an IT Consultant with plus 20+ of expertise on critical infraestructure... Guys ran as fast as possible from this kind of jobs and enjoy it with your beloved ones. Tech pass, comes and go.
Great video. I will be joining AWS soon as a SA so I am hooked on to all videos related to 'Day in the life of a SA' :-D. I have got so many questions. What kind of projects do you collaborate with other SAs? Do SAs work as a team with a single customer or is it always 1 SA per customer? Do you get to choose what time to block on the calendar for customer meetings or decide how many customer meetings can get scheduled in a day? My role is remote and I thought to check if you knew how remote roles get to join AWS social events like the one you attended at 5pm in the video? I sometimes feel I would lose out on opportunities to connect with other SAs. In case you know anyone else working remotely, you can shed some light.
So . . . you do more consulting than development? Interesting. I’m currently going through an AWS Cloud program and I have been really curious as to what exactly is it we do. lol
I am in CSE role for a little over a year and feeling the burn just too much metrics lol. Thank you for sharing your experience, I don't believe I would enjoy SA role. Your videos are nice and good quality, looking forward to more content.
Hello, Lucy. I am in the process of changing careers, and I believe that becoming an AWS Solution Architect would be an excellent fit for me. While I have already begun my studies, I am eager to gain a deeper understanding of the real-world responsibilities and scope of an AWS Solution Architect, from client discussions to infrastructure development. Thank you for sharing your insightful video on the typical day of an AWS Solution Architect. I found it to be very informative. I would be grateful if you could create a video showcasing "Proof of Concepts" examples for customers and also elaborate on the role of an AWS Solution Architect after a customer accepts an offer or an idea. Specifically, I am interested in learning about the infrastructure creation process and the subsequent steps involving other departments at AWS. I appreciate your time and the valuable content you provide. Thank you for the excellent video!
How easy is it to get a remote job? Would you recommend a beginner work in the field first before going remote? Lastly, how helpful are your teammates?
Thanks for all the helpful videos I’m hoping next year is better for when I apply for a job or reach out consultancy. Heard Amazon has froze positions for Amazon web services related roles mostly because of recession like a lot of other companies!!!
Hello Lucy, I find your videos quite interesting, just had 1 question,How are you creating the poc?? Can you please share what language you are using and how much code is required? It would be very kind of you if you could please share it with me?
Thank you for the video. Do I understand correct that as a solution architect you talk to customers a lot? So it is more manager role than technical? And after you got the solution customer approve you transfer it to DevOps and Developers to build it and then SysOps helps customer to manage it?
Hello from Canada! Thanks for sharing your videos and a glimpse of your life as a Solutions Architect. Question….I got the AWS SA cert 3 years ago and now it’s about to expire. Is it advisable if I try to aim for the AWS Solutions Pro cert instead or should I renew the Associate first and then do the Pro? Thanks again
Wow, and have you been working as a Solutions Architect? If you have the time, getting the professional certificate I think would totally be worth it. Also, if you can, I saw a video in UA-cam were the following certifications were recommended for being a Solutions Architect: - CCNA - Red Hat - CISSP - VMware Certified Professional 6 I hope this helps you 😎👌
This was just what I needed! Thank you for providing actual details. Ill be watching more videos after this so excuse my question if you've gone over this but: How do you determine when a project requires more than one Solutions Architect? Anyway, thank you for this. I have my CCP but SA is next up! Have a great weekend!
Great question, Professional Services Consultant = Cloud Architect. I made a video explaining the differences here: ua-cam.com/video/jpZCg4sCz_o/v-deo.html
@@TechwithLucy Oh okay, thanks! Was just curious because i see listing for Solution architect, cloud architect and professional service consultant. Was thinking what are the differences.

Hello Lucy. Thanks for the video. I'm very much interested in being a solutions architect, and have been studying a lot online. I'm however put off by how much scripting and programming is involved.
