As someone who builds nuclear shelters for families, the use of asbestos and the flimsy mesh used would be a no-no, plus you want a escape exit or its just a tomb. It also needs to be about twice the size to be able to live in it for 14+ days for fallout. So sink, toilet and macerator to pump the waste up and out, addition of shower is a luxury. Water storage and power storage with deployable fold out solar panels to run intake and extraction fan with carbon filters, run lighting and cook with, add some beds and books games etc and you're done. BUT building a bunker yourself using repurposed materials is hard and I'd give this man 10/10 for effort and 5/10 score on his bunker.
What score do u give him for the tunes? lol

O!!!
Это не бункер . Это погреб
High speed Shock wave traveling underground will destroy most when not in suspension underground systems if within x radius of target
He’s just a nut
I like that, when you see the guy working night and day on a massive project. Kudos and well done
Awesome job on all the hard work man - screw the haters here - 90% of them coudn't even pick up an shovel.
I am a soldier. In the intelligence area. Believe me. It is the best investment that a person can make today. Better than buying a car. Remember, forewarned is forearmed.
I did t see anyone hating. I still people saying it’s not a bunker. It’s decent work but Still not a bunker. It’s click bait
@@politicareligionymasnot real really the reason being is it's only useful for a very short time and if your close enough to get too it. In the event of a nuclear war for example you still gonna die unless you it can stay underground for months with months of food, water and means to filter air. If your in eroupe of North America your fucked. If your a soldier in Intel you would know this as you would know there be like maybe a 30 min warning before all hell breaks loose. And that would depend on where you live. If your near a big city or a military base yea your done. If you live or in the boonies you might got a chance but the radioactive debris unless you got the supplies, gear ect for at least a year you might get by
90% of y'all won't make it to heaven!!
90% of people are busy working in order to survive.
This was a one man build. Not a team of contractors, friends or corporate company.
This like building a underground layer dungen when its just one man. AMazing job
It's a good shed but bunker wise it has to be deeper at least 50 feet down for basic protection. Even 50 is still pushing it
Obviously not, since he rented an excavator to dig out the pit in the first place, not to mention the woman helping him out at various points of the construction. Not that I'm disparaging the guy, but calling it a one man build is disingenuous as frack.
What?
I’m about 15 miles from NSB KIngs Bay Georgia. If it ever comes down to that, I’m just gonna sit out on my back lanai and wait for the flash that’s all any of us in this area can do. They are going to park nukes all over NSB KIngs Bay,Jacksonville and the surrounding area. Looks like things are getting crazy over in Europe. I wish everyone the best of luck and God bless everyone.
If you are 15 miles away you won't die from the blast or heat, you will die from the fallout IF the wind is blowing it towards you. Then you will be one of the AVOIDABLE casualties due to lack of preparedness.
@@mtaylor3771 So why do you put paint can racks inside "Nuclear shelter"?
If it were me, I'd take the music that was chosen for the video, throw it all in the basement, then seal it so it will never be heard from again
The walls are like 4 inches thick 😂 what that gonna protect from? Grenades 😂
No way this was done for 5000.00.
Concrete alone would exceed that number.
😂😂😂в России бетон бесплатно 😅😅😅😅!!!!!
@@olekcandrkorynberg2754 sure it is
Ha Ha good ole days you buy a house less than concrete cost today uk biggest robbery in world
This is ridiculously badass. Rock on !!
Badass? What are you, 12?
Looks like a tomb no exit just a door
One of the best uses of my time, absolutely joy to watch all that hard work sped up haha!
Well done to all those involved 👍🏻🤟🏻
Bunker for WHAT? It takes 1 foot of lead, or 3 feet of concrete, or 10 feet of soil to protect oneself from radiation exposure.
It's a good storm shelter or food storage in current configuration.
Don't know that I'd call it a bunker! Great tornado shelter!!
Great nuclear FALLOUT shelter.
@@mtaylor3771 Not at all.
@@mtaylor3771need at least to be 100ft-150ft underground with at least 40 inches of concrete on top of that to be a nuclear bunker
@@MrLiljet A fallout shelter only needs 3 feet of packed early on top. A fallout shelter is not necessarily a blast shelter. One could be both but most people live far enough away from targets that all they need is fallout protection.
You guys are the ultimate professionals.
Don’t forget the extra pair of eye glasses!
mission accomplished! nobody will ever hear your victim's screams coming from down there.
No need ropes nor duck tape 😂

@@Yut00bisSUS put the lotion in the basket
His mistake was not making it bigger.
Very good!
Very nice storage cellar. You can probably keep stuff secured down there for centuries.
People are awfully quick to judge this guy. I don't think he's building a doomsday bunker or anything that's going to take a direct hit. Just something that is going to provide him temporary shelter from debris. He obviously lives in an area of the world where there is a necessity for this and came up with a cost-effective way to build it. If I were in his position, I'd probably try to do something similar.
I have problems mowing the grass 😢
@@toadster_strudel so then do not calling it Bunker i guess?
Agreed
@@Echoes265 its still a bunker. Just because it isn’t bomb proof doesn’t mean it won’t protect him and his family from harm.
Must be nice to have soil with ZERO stones to dig up.
In my yard I literally have to use a pick axe to dig more than 3 or 4 inches deep. It sucks. Can’t have a nice yard of grass.
New England area?
A bunker or oversized coffin?
Great job. The bunker looks pretty good.
The purpose of the structure is debatable but there is no debating the mans resourcefulness and ingenuity and sense of purpose. He did a magnificent job constructing this practically by himself.
Nothing like building a tomb in your backyard.
I am a soldier. In the intelligence area. Believe me. It is the best investment that a person can make today. Better than buying a car. Remember, forewarned is forearmed.
I am a soldier. In the intelligence area. Believe me. Soldiers are not the subject matter expert in all things and we should not be using our position to influence peoples decisions.
@@politicareligionymasI'm not against a good doomsday shelter, but what do you do if some parks a vehicle on the entrance? Or blocks off the air inlet down there?
Aggregate in the concrete seemed a little large but hey it will probably work out fine. I assume this is more a storm shelter than a bunker, and just for temp shelter or storage.
It's a nuclear FALLOUT shelter.
@@mtaylor3771 The only nuke that bunker is stopping is a model. Anything with actual blast power will blow right through.
Thumbnail looks like drainage pit. Hope there’s plenty of sump pumps when power goes down in the rain especially
Somebody gave him the wrong plans. That Bunker doesn’t look like the thumbnail.
All that work to have a creepy dungeon.
I like it, looks like something i would take on. The use of second hand materials is great. Do the best job you can with what is available to you.
It was a brilliant reply from Elton John
Hard work... Im sure its more than the haters are gonna have when its needed. Keed it up bro.
Great place to store all the rain water that will collect INside.
How do you reach out for clean air from within when the smog is full of radiation?
lol almost no protection when cutting that asbestos
Very bad not good
Asbestos should be banned 😱
It's fibre cement not asbestos
inf ew years he is dead
@@deanhider1It's not pure asbestos, but it's not ordinary fiber cement either. This material consists of 75-90% cement, 10-25% asbestos fiber and ~5% water. In Russia, it is called "Schiefer". (I am sorry for the Germans, who have other associations with this word. It probably broke your brain now)
This is definitely not a bunker. More like a cellar for pickles. *sigh* Content makers...
😂
Probably a grow house 😂
With enough dirt on top it will protect against a solar flare.
@@seanhammer6296what.... Do you even know what a solar flare is? We get hit by solar flares all the time. The most you would have to worry about is electronics being burnt out by a very strong solar flare. IF we got hit by a solar flare that could physically hurt you bunker probably wouldn't help you because it be strong enough to damage the actual earth.
@epope98 Ya, I was referring to the electric thing. If the Carrington event of 1859 happened today, it would probably blow the world back to the Stone Age due to electronic destruction.
Thank you for the update, TechFreeze..!! Amazing work of craftsmanship and skills..!!
Impressive build, The sense of accomplishment and pride in their work will stay with them.
Love this!! Nothing like hitting a garage door that heads somewhere else ;) it's got an old-school feel to the project. good stuff - You're a God brother! keep up the work. Looks great
the know how and the skills are amazing.
I would’ve never did all that work to build that just to store paint
It's a nuclear FALLOUT shelter.
@@mtaylor3771 So why do you put paint can racks inside "Nuclear shelter"?
If you added another 50' & evac fans this would make a great firing range
Can’t forget to add the property cost, the zoning permit cost, the builder permit cost, the inspection costs, with the labor costs. And now the total comes to how much ?
Perfect hideout for those cold Ukrainian nights.
I absolutely love it! But how do you keep heavy rain water out in a sunken bunker?
Until the floods come instead and it fails to float 😂......while waiting for an earthquake...
Reminds me of that movie TAKE SHELTER ✌️🍺🇺🇸
Very very good my friend thank you
Could be used when the in-laws visit! 👍
Nice storm shelter well done!
It's nice to have property big enough to do that.
Nice work guy that there that you have is determination, even though the job your doing is hard you are determined to make it, well done👍👍👍
Bravo, sir
Job well done..
This due build a freaking real bunker, not a cargo container bunker, a real bunker. Wow.. $5K money cost, but way way more time cost. Hats off to him for sure.
No way that only cost $5k. The concrete was probably $4k- $4,500.
Woow

A "soldier" in the intel field.
Yep. Sure.
COD is making effieboodieeee go wireless gangster.

Holy shit, the formwork made me want to throw up. I only say that because of the massive amount of added work installing and removing. It looks like a strong structure in the end. GJ.
It’ll protect you from a paintball fight for sure. 😵💫
Best job brother, I get a lot of experience from you.
Tech freeze obsessed with using "$5000" on every build 😮😂
awsome job. shouldve also installed a french drain under it to help take any ground water away from under the floor after it rains.
I’m not sure how is this described as a “bunker”. He did a good job building it until I realized the shelves turned it into a storage room!
It's called a bunker, but it's a nuclear fallout shelter. He will survive. People sitting in their homes will be exposed to a deadly amount of radiation from the radioactive fallout.
Smart man... soon wear 3
The wife: “why don’t you just go stay in your precious bunker!!!”
Me: “okay”
It should hold water well!! Cause the way it is layed out it will get plenty inside the door!!
Where are you from? Asbestos is forbidden in the EU since 2005. It provoques mesothelioma
Big fail. He used asbestos.
Asbestos rules
I would not live in fear!
If I die I die. 😊
Это бункер для картошки, соленьев и закруток на зиму😂
nice GRAVE :)
Where there is will, there is way. Sweet peaches make for BIGGER will! Great work comrades!
Is this a wine cellar? 😂
For the audience, remember to check for stuff like gas lines etc, before digging.
Man built himself a wine seller 😂
Nice
Impressive
Great work man, you're definitely a hard worker, but at the end of day You KNOW this is just a Death Trap not a bunker, right?
This was pretty awesome.
Angle grinding asbestos cement sheet with no mask/respirator wait for the dire health effects in a few years! It’s a terrible way to go.
Может, это спасёт чью-то жизнь..
One issue its got to be deeper to survive radioactive fallout he just going to cook in a box lol that's not a normal bunker its a hidden resource loot room he be long dead when people in radioactive hazmat's come looking for his Resources in a Post apocalypse and they be arm with ak47s or m16 or a saw off shotgun.
The title of the video is wrong. It’s not a bunker. It’s an underground food storage or a wine cellar or a storm shelter to be safe for a few hours while the hurricane passes, eventually.
B-but... all your neighbors saw this getting built... when shtf, youre gonna be the first one to get looted
🇰🇷 응원합니다
What good is a bunker if you're at work is something to jump off and you're in a traffic jam miles away
비가 많이오면 수영장으로 만들려고 건축하신거군요
God dam boy i like your style 👍🏼
This is absolutely a Bunker CASKET ⚰️!!!
No it's a nuclear FALLOUT shelter. He won't be targeted by a NUCLEAR MISSILE. In fact, 90% of all casualties from a nuclear war will die from RADIOACTIVE FALLOUT. He will be protected. You will be in your home which offers NO PROTECTION from radioactive fallout. The intensity of the exposure you get in the first 48 hours will determine if you die a slow agonizing death over a period of hours, days, weeks or months. Your home will be your casket.
The guy could have used a precast concrete septic tank 😂
that was my idea also, for a cheap, quick Iowa underground tornado shelter.
@@TsunauticusIV or put three shipping containers and joined them
That's funny you say that I was actually at a concrete septic tank place down the street from me looking at the largest one they had and it would have worked
@@TheNinjaMarmot shipping containers aren't as strong. They require more reinforcement because the strength is at the corners where they stack, but not in the center.
@@TJK50014 That's true. Plus you have to think about weatherproofing it and transportation costs.
But it'll make a great emp proof bunker and once you've created a good concrete foundation you can stack them on top of each other and reinforce with concrete and rebar.
In certain places you can't dig too deep though.
Это не бункер, это могила.
It’s really a tomb.
