Invincibles won 26 games. 19/20 Liverpool won 26 of their first 27 (Before covid). Arsenal fans managed to convince the world drawing a game is an achievement.
Winning the league unbeaten is ridiculous, we drew alot of the last 10 games to try and achieve invincibles they had a lot of French showman who played about towards the end of the games they could’ve won atleast another 4-5 but choose to go unbeaten and they also got 90 points which is still a good tally .

Gave them both fair and balanced arguments that by the end you could see both Reev and Theo starting to change their mind, especially when he went on about how more impressive it is to win than to not lose. Going undefeated is still an unreal achievement but to lose once and only concede 15 goals in a season is madness and to three-peat plus also winning a UCL is madness

Liverpool had 82 points before Covid while the second place City finished the season with 81 . So even if Liverpool stopped playing after Covid hit they would've still won the league
“Covid tax” is a ridiculous argument, that Liverpool side had 82 points BEFORE covid started, 25 points ahead of City in second. For reference City ended the season on 81 points so even without covid, Liverpool won the league.

Liverpool 18-19 goes under the radar but it’s honestly one of the most impressive achievements in PL history. They were the only team in PL history that accumulated over 90 points while also winning the UCL in the same season. No other PL team has managed to do it. It’s better than Man United’s 07-08 season when you look at it objectively.
It just isn’t though cause that team didn’t win the league. I’d rather get 87 points and win the league over 97 points and finishing 2nd plus United 08 won CL aswell

As an arsenal fan they were nowhere close to the best PL side ever. At a bare minimum they're behind both city 17/18 - 18/19 and Liverpool 18/19 -19/20, but its the best achievement ever in PL era for me. Maybe I'm bias, but look at Liverpool in 19/20, they had dropped 2 points over halfway through the season, and randomly get battered by watford. Similarly man united in 10/11 vs wolves, and city 17/18 vs liverpool. No team has even gotten remotely close. The discrediting of the invincibles in this comment section is so dissapointing

It’s a good quote too because it not only works with any sport, but it especially shuts down any Arsenal fan who wants to try and proclaim the Invincibles were some kind of “an elite of the elite” level team when they simply were just a great team and that’s it.
Big dub for Tom on this. Invincibles achievement is brilliant but the other teams achievements are better - treble, conceding 15, 100+ points for example

Tom makes a lot of good points but a lot of it is lot in the narrative. Yes they drew 12 games but a lot of them were towards the last 10 games of the season when they had already wrapped up the league and we’re playing to go invincible, they still managed to win the league by 9 points over a Ferguson United side and a strong Chelsea/ Liverpool.
People also seem to think they were shit in the cups that year. Simply not the case. Semi finals of both the League and FA Cup whilst making the Champions League quarters. If you’re taking that into account alongside going 38 games in the league that season unbeaten it’s a monumental achievement

As a neutral, the city centurions would beat that Invincibles side. Honestly, the best side is the prime Mourinho Chelsea. Very well drilled, deadly up front, solid back and midfield was just sublime and something else. And the manager was one of the best ever.
