Very interesting video as you always wonder what they look like under their skin. We now own a Supreme caravan and could tell the insulation was much better than our previous van because the inside temperature does not fluctuate as quickly. Great video and looking forward to more from Adelaide RV.
Thought this was good to be fair, I’m in the process of building my own caravan and this video has come in handy. The caravan shell that I tore down had water damage (and it was ancient), so a rebuild is definitely necessary!! I was very surprised to see how rubbish the insulation was, now that I’ve seen your video, I have an idea on how to rebuild the walls and reinforce areas (which definitely wasn’t on the original caravan). Many thanks
That insulation doesn't do anything. It's getting so hot in our new Leader that the aircon is struggling to keep up. And now that I see all these gaps, I know why.
I’d be ashamed to show this video, especially then showing a “rival“ version as a selling point for Supreme. I think you’ve shot yourselves in the foot with this video- very corny. We’ve just had to crawl under our brand new Supreme and were horrified by the amount of silicone “thrown” around the fittings. The reason for being under the van? We just had an issue with a fitting not having an O ring inside and, only due to a double-check of the water tank levels before we commenced our journey, found we had water pouring out. Great to have potentially found ourselves in the bush, free-camping, and then realise we had NO WATER AT ALL, apart from our in-vehicle water tanks. Great start to our “maiden trip” in our Supreme. Oh, and another thing… We were told, on handover, that the gas tanks were filled. Not so - 36 hours into the same free-camping trip, the gas bottles were BOTH empty. No leaks or bad connections, someone just forgot to ensure that the tanks were filled. We really wanted to LOVE our Supreme, after two Jayco’s … and we do. Just VERY unhappy with the pre-handover inspection by the dealership. Hopefully there will only be “happy camping” from now on.
Good job

Thanks for the feedback Graham.

that's just comparing a less shitty job vs a shitty job ......
Gold
What wood is being used for the framing for this caravan?
Miranti timber
@@adelaiderv Thanks mate.
Staples and Meranti, better methods available today. And yes some panels have insulation but there are some big gaps.
Composite all the way.

Personnally, I don't think this is very good workmanship. And if this is an example of good, then Wow... That insulation installation is just dodgy.
