Remember, no matter how bad Sakuya is to Meiling in fanon her own situation is far worse: she has to put up with Remilia 24/7, which in fanon means constant humiliation and abuse, Plus the knowledge that Meiling's fate is to be the gate guard, and her fate is to have to DEAL WITH IT.
Don't forget that Sakuya has tk occasionally deal with Flandre, which in fanon is a ball of chaos and destruction.

@Elepole Eolis I think what they were going for was that Meiling was knocked out by everyone running past the Gate, and when she finally came to, all of the events that transpired just seemed like it was a dream. Sakura didn't turn back time.
