- Welp - Uredin is now LIVE in Watcher of Realms. These Devs are always keeping us on our toes. They just accidentally patched through Uredin yesterday - arguably the new most powerful hero in the game and an HUGE PvP gamebreaker! What is even going on? I really don’t have a problem with things like this because, as you said, they have to make money so the rest of us can play ftp-low spend.
That being said, they would create a lot of good will with their player base if they move a couple ancient shard only chaotics over to the main pool every 6-12 months. So ideally, this guy releases them a year later would join the main pool. And since we know they already have varied rates within rarities they could make the new chaotics introduced the rarest legos in the pool to keep them somewhat scarce.
I really like that idea. So spender can get first opportunity but eventually they become more accessible. Very nice

I'm beginning to experience a lot of frustration over all these new heroes. We already have tons of hero options, totally busted ones. We don't need more right now, although Moonton is going to keep releasing them hoping to get paid. What we need is a deeper tower defense experience, to make all these heroes make sense. I think the devs need to go play Ancient Planet, Epic Monster TD, even Bloons, and remember what a tower defense game is supposed to be about. We have lots of great debuffers, but honestly, when would you ever deploy them? Heroes like Shamir and Ai would be recognized god tier in a better focused TD format. As things are, there's no reason to care about debuffing or crowd-control strategies. Just farm up the biggest hitters you can, an OP healer, and a tank, and set up a choke point to mow down everything. Wash, rinse, repeat until you run into a cheese-mechanic stage where the boss is positioned on the other side of the map and can one shot your tank from outside your range.
Also getting frustrated with the Plarium-esque fixation on spamming out legendaries. I haven't counted them, but I'd bet there are more legendaries than commons/uncommons. And other than Cutter, commons/uncommons are completely useless. I know this is a gacha game, but if every new hero is going to be legendary, legendary is going to become meaningless very soon. Then we'll need mythic heroes just to give us the feeling of rarity that's supposed to go along with legendaries. We don't currently have content that necessitates all these legendaries. What would we do with mythics?
This is just a curmudgeon ranting and ringing the alarm bells early. We really don't need new legendaries without new game modes and features -- actual game modes and features, not once-a-week gimmicks like guild wars, which is very difficult to even enjoy.

thats amazing. the only concerning thing that i have with this is the gap between him and the next best hero (who it is is up for debate). as the hero pool increases the spectrum of the best to the worst will widen and im just concerned how much wider the best side will be with him. due to the fact that he can only be pulled from ancients is a massively good call, that makes him extremely rare to get, let alone get to A5. i think they made good decision with this and it is exciting i agree

So i got him, put my best gear on him, and he does SO, SO much less damage than my other DPS (khamet, arrogance, etc). I was so excited but now im just overly bummed 😢
He is a totally different kind of hero than those two. Currently with the content in the game, he only shines in a couple places, but where he shines he is insane. I understand your frustration though, but don’t worry I’m sure with more endgame content in the future he will only get better.
@FastidiousYT yes I can't argue that, I definitely don't feel like I wasted resources on him in the long run, more like I just got too excited and expected a bit too much 😅

his kit definitely looks strong, really insane to be standing behind a cpt reeves or a ghan in arena.
However I am concerned for gr1, if his ult is only in a larger line range, you'd have to put him in front of the wall for gr1 and then he likely faces the abomination issue of being unable to survive at 1-20/21. Unless his dmg is so extremely powerful you can have him annihilate every 2nd or 3rd wave when he is respawning... Might struggle with final wave, unless he's something you can rotate with cerberus/atrox, if thats the case it is looking great for gr1.

Do you think moonton has a strategy for the order they are releasing these heroes beyond extracting as much cash as possible? We seem to get a lot of new fighters, so it’s seemingly not for balance. Just curious.

I pulled him today through the 2x event, super lucky pull as I only had 7 red summons.
We need defender who attack is based off defence so we can build them for damage and tanking and has range to hit air born units.

I got luckkkyyy. Super pumped. I’ll never pull another for the A’s unless they give legend soulstones.. but yeah. My only question is he has a ton of AOE but his attack range is low, right? I need to actually give him a go.
Until a new summoning crystal will not pop up what you can buy only for money, everything is right. Of course, stronger and stronger heroes will come, and I think more content should come also. Think about it, you soon finish all GR, everything, you are good in arena, you always win in GW in that 8 rounds, what else remain? Ok, you can make better heroes, better gears, but what for?

But he's attack interval is fricking 3.5 so what you get of extra attack you are going to need to expended on attack speed.
End game can easily get that nice and low. Compare to Vierna who is 3.5 and cannot be sped up

From seeing those stats and skills I'm half tempted to say he is still being balanced.
Everything is slightly over tuned, if some of the percentages dropped by 5-10% he would still be an amazing hero but would fit with the current pool.

I don’t man as exciting as it is we human beings won’t really stand a chance at enjoying actually playing him or most of the arbiters probably, to be realistic. Too much of a p2w swing imo with this gated factions behind ancients summonings, considering also supreme arbiters dont even have epics to fill a bit the faction and tbh lowers the interest i have for them cause as mosts as a low spend/f2p realistically talking u can see them in action only on yt videos or suchs

There's a decent chance these stats are only for alpha test and he will release in a more balanced shape... that's what I want to believe at least. I'm not sure that pushing so hard a p2w character is a good move, but this game genre isn't new to this choices and WoR won't be different than other games at that, I suppose...
But some people have him on FR and global already. More than a test. They can rework him but then it would be a nerf

The pulls are worse than Raid Shadow Legends in this game. I literally spent 800 dollars in a few days and all i got was Azhor, Crach, Shamir, Ezryn and a Regulus. These champs are constantly popping up and theyre worse than epics. We must spend the double amount of what i just did to get anything decent, let alone this amazing new champion.

This is the start of the down spiral of the game for unlucky F2p. Seen it many times before could be time to put the game down.

This and Lucius are prime examples of where you (and other CCs as well) jump the gun with assumptions and give people poor advice. Don't get me wrong, I think you're one of the best CCs for WoR currently, if not THE top. But, with the whole Lucius thing, you REALLY slipped up, and it was a huge disappointment on my part. Going on about how he was a "must have" and going to be so amazing. Sure, he's ok, but Moonton never fixed what they were *supposed* to fix with him, and I only very rarely use him over my other heroes. That was the first time I spent SERIOUS money on buying crystals for an event (mainly for Anora, but Lucius was a secondary part too thanks to the feedback from you and other CCs). That is also the last time I'm going to spend serious money on this game based on pure speculation like this.
It's one thing to look at a kit, look at awakenings, look at the faction, etc., and make hypotheses about how they *should* be. But, you know well enough that a kit doesn't tell you much until you actually put the hero to the test and see actual numbers and performance. Things like this cause viewers to lose their trust in your reliability. Rather than using things like "he's broken!!!", it would make far more sense to say "based on what we're seeing with his kit, he looks like he *could* be amazing." But, you really should emphasize to people that it's just speculation, and that you really don't know for sure.
Some people don't have time to listen to a whole video, and when they skim through and see content like this, it misleads. I mean this video is STILL misleading newer players to this day (as you have a link directly to it from your hero tier list page). They're going to think they just pulled an amazing hero, could potentially waste skill crystals and other resources on maxing him, all to be severely disappointed, and thanks to misinformation due to assumptions without actually testing a hero first.
I was a CC myself for RSL years ago, and I give you props for doing a great job. You've also stepped up your videos substantially since this video with the green screen, better audio, etc, so that's great too. This is just constructive criticism from someone with decades of personal experience - keep it real with the players. Yes, I was an affiliate with Plarium, and so I did have to be careful with being too blatantly honest with some underhanded things they did back then (most prominently, the paywalls, which was the biggest reason I left). But, I always kept it 100% real, even if I couldn't delve into personal feelings on matters like that. And I NEVER hyped up a hero just based on a kit.
Remember, people look up to you, they rely on you for accurate and reliable information. It's a big responsibility, and with it, you have to try to be mindful of any and all content you put out there on social media. Anyway, I do hope you're able to take all this constructively as intended, and again, I think you're doing an amazing job overall. But, it's always good to get feedback from an observer to find out how we can get even better. :)
This one was told as theorycrafting. But yea he certainly was not the new best hero. Lucius I was 100% correct. He is literally a god for any normal account without a Praetus-Arbiter meta. He is literally required.
