The film Klute and Jane Fonda"s Oscar winning performance set a new standard to film making & acting style. Exellent photo's and music, your photo selection choice to the music is perfect.
Jane-----------Jane------------& Ohhhh my, Jane ! An all-time classic, & the film that cemented her as my all-time film crush .----------------------------MJL, 74 y/o
This is such a 70's film--------------but timeless, & an all-time classic. ----------Jane ! ------------Luminous ------vulnerable------hard-----yet, doubting ---------a timeless performance that never grows old. --------------And, a master class in creating Atmosphere. --------------------------WolfSky9 ,73 y/o
I love this movie and hearing the music again today really made me appreciate it so much more. I love the mood of the music, it makes me feel very involved and emotional about the main characters. I think that the guy who played Peter Cable should have gotten an Oscar Nomination. He was really creepy as the high ranking executive with a fetish. I was really afraid of him. Being in that garment factory alone with Cable confessing a murder is frightening. The mood of music made it complete.
wonderful film always liked this piece of music , also always very much liked both these 2 actors, liked Jane also in both "Barbarella", and "On Golden Pond" where the scene with her real life father was for real no pretence a brillient post.thank you.
From the soundtrack (a mystery in itself - as it was never released ) Love Theme, The Tape (main titles), Peter Cables end, Leaving the city. All these titles may well be subject to the bootlegger, as I reckon a tape or a test pressing was found and ended up as the Harkit release. I did ask a reputable record shop in 1981 for it, and they had never seen it. Then years later it turns up. I love the trumpet playing since I first saw the film. A truly great combination of Fonda Film and Small.
SUPERIOR collection of B&W images from this early 70's verite-style color film (esp. like the images of the modeling agency and actress Dorothy Tristan)....and makes me want to buy the M.Small soundtrack/score.
Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland were supurb in this film,i rem a scene after she realised she was falling for him, they were at a market stall choosing fruit, apples,he was checking them for size and ripeness, she just watched him and this music played, wow magical
Jane was legendary in this role. I'm praying they never try and spoil it with a remake.
That haircut was so perfect for Jane. It's a great haircut in general. Back then so many people got that cut--defined an era.

Thanks for this, vidguyusa. Michael Small's music is amazing...the scary music was a major influence on all film composers.
In that picture of Donald with the hat. Damn he looks like his handsome son Kiefer. What a film. They were both great.

It's from the soundtrack to the film by the late Michael Small.Various themes edited into one.
