Awesome! I really admire the "can do" spirit and tireless labor that went into the construction of your green house. Can't wait to see how the banana tree gets along. Please be sure to keep the rest of us aspiring farmers up to date on the latest progress. Cheers from Montreal QC
Nice start. For the geothermal - I would change that a bit - go longer and have 3 different layers making sure you start at least 2' below the frost line. Then separate each layer by about 3 feet. Also you want the soil near the geothermal to be as close to clay as possible so it retains the ground temperature. Quick questions: 1. What are you doing for shading in the summer? 2. What are you doing at night in the winter to retain heat? You may want to look at some of the Chinese greenhouse designs as they address this.
Very interesting ' I'd like to biuld something around 10/20 ft but it will have to be all hand dug . Hmm heat exchanger . Beautiful dogs ❤ ugly music 😂
Its great to be handy like you and do most of the things without a contractor. To blow air into 28 pipes at 250 feet length each, what brand of blower did you use and what is the Voltage/Amp reading and what is its CFM please?
I live in California. The shape of your greenhouse looks really nice. Could you please provide the name of the company that you got your metal frame for your greenhouse? Thank you!
I am ready to order a “greenhouses in the snow” ! I am northern New Jersey looking to partner with a farmer. Please reach out ! Let go , don’t want to be hungry or without fresh produce this winter. We will get the citrus later on.....
The pipes are not install to be a Earth battery. Inside the greenhouse there is 1 blower sitting on top of the tubing taking the hot air inside the greenhouse which is then pushed underground under the frost level and then returned at the other end of the greenhouse cool and crisp.
how is it working with the pipes not having any spacing? I've heard that it greatly reduces their effectiveness (although you have a ton of them so maybe it's ok?)?

The initial work didn't cost us too much because we did everything ourselves. If you subcontract the works that were the cost of building goes fast. Here's the list of things to consider which might be different in your area : - Excavation (depending of type of soil) rocky vs sandy. $5-8K (It's cost more for us because of our rocky soil) - Raw Materials : lumber, foundation base $3-4K - Exterior material : Tin, isolation, the drainage pipe for geothermal, $6-7K - Electricity/panel and hook-up, interior lights : $5-7K - Heating unit (winter) optional : $1-2K - Exhaust Fans (summer), motorized shutter & shade cloths is to consider. $1-2K - screws & nails :$500-1K - Water well, pump and watering hose : $500-1K AND finally the cost to fill-up with beautiful tropical trees $2-4K Depending on the size you are looking to built and the finishing you are wanting to get. I would budget a minimum of $20K NOT including the greenhouse kit. You are welcome to visit if you wanted more info...)

Bah~ what a build... Imagine if our society didn't focus on the financial gain but more towards aspects to make life more Blissful... no more need to judge others and mis-interpreting everything... lol, what a joke it is... it creates so many unique experiences... yet how many focus more on the suffering... lol, which creates even more... of the previous... Thanks for your sharing your perspective....do you have any project with a geothermal setting to show what is the correct way of doing geothermal? Would love to see what you did differently...
This is great, I would really enjoy watching an update a couple of years on.
Love it !!! Can't wait to see more!!
Can you do a greenhouse update video along with lessons learned?
Would love to see an update on this!
love the video! Very motivating to see you complete your greenhouse. I can't wait to see the finished video!!! Cheers and thank you!

I'd love to see a video of the snow shedding ability.
C'est un travail de titan et une ingénierie de chantier soignée.
Why not put the earth battery tubes under the greenhouse at 4' and 2 feet' so can used to cool and heat?

do you have blueprints you can sell, I'd be interested to know how this was built
Any updates on this greenhouse?
Any updates on your greenhouse? I'm wanting to build something similar for the oregon coast climate.
how was your first year? did you do as well as you thought you would?
Updates?? After such an epic sweet build??
Wonder what the total cost on this was?
Who makes the kit you used?
Did you guys use High-Density corrugated pipes or were they regular corrugated?
Hi I love this! Where did you get the plans for it. We are building a greenhouse soon in Wyoming.

Could sombody make greenhouses in the nwt?
What is the price of material, and construction, I'm sure it will pay for itself in time, but is this affordable up front.
Update please
The tubes for geothermal don't need to be spaced out further apart?

@@stepnstonefarm6772 any heat exchange, even cooling doesn't work effectively when you place tubing like this.
ive recently got interested in this idea . what was total cost for the kit ? overall estimate om what to expect to pay? thanks for the video

Why just one video?
This is pretty sweet I want to do the same thing in New Brunswick

In this kind of project the sweat equity is very hard to calculate. I call it the labor of love...:)

Yes soon :) we have been so busy with the spring seeding and getting everything ready.
