Dude, you should be extremely proud of yourself for not only designing this 8th wonder of the world but for tackling the construction on your own. Very impressive indeed !!!

Thanks buddy. Almost 2 years in (part time) and concrete getting poured tomorrow morning finally. Gotta come check it out. The finished floor takes it to a huge new level of awesome. 👍👊
I've built my house with help and it's been a very long winded nightmare . I know it's going to kill me watching this ...I should of got Bob to help me out but I knew very little back then and as allways the money ran out .... respect to you sir just for even taking the job on by your self ...
Land of the Living Skies? You're a Saskatchewanite! Well done on the greenhouse. You have "real" winters in Saskatchewan and have shown that even in the hard prairie winters, you can still build a very sustainable and environmentally friendly building. Can't wait to see the "fruits" (and vegetables) of your labors!
It's really nice to see a project like this done in a place with a real winter. So many times you see people building a greenhouse in Virginia or North Carolina (and sure, they have cold enough weather to kill tropical plants) but I'm in northern Michigan and most of their advice is cute at best. You've really done some amazing stuff for someone at ~50°N.
Truly a modern day Noah (Noah who built the Ark in the Bible)! God bless you brother! This is truly inspiring. And please take care of your body. My dad built up 3 abandoned houses all by himself, and suffering from a lot of pain and disabilities through put the years. But you guys generation is full of hard working people. I give much respect to your generation! And thank you to passing your knowledge on to my generation. I'm a young woman, but my dad taught me everything lol. And older brother knows nothing about tools lol😂 God bless and Jesus loves you! Keep up the great work!
Okay, I actually wrote this comment after I watched the first few seconds of the video without seeing your face. Then when I watched the video after I posted my comment, I saw that you are actually pretty young. Maybe like 30 years younger than my dad!😂 Nonetheless, take care of your body. All that hard work can take a toll on your back and knees, etc. Keep up the great work!🙏🏽🙌
Amazing is too tame of a description of your process. Not a wasted move, everything timed for your weather at 52. I am at 30, so we have a whole different set of criteria! I, too, do almost all of the work myself, even at 76, truly blessed to be able to accomplish anything!
I hope you gave BOB an oil change, to show your appreciation for his efforts, as for yourself thank you for performing a modern day miracle, by demonstrating all things are possible with the right approach, I know you have been an inspiration to many out there.......May you see the rewards of your labour in the years to come ..... by being provided with an over abundance of fruit and vegetables.......
Are you the only man in Saskatchewan? That's a ton of work to do yourself, even with Bob's help. Looks great! I love how clean it looked once you put the white poly up on the inside. Greetings from Wisconsin.
You are Superman! What an incredible accomplishment! Your skill and endurance are a rarity. I hope you pass thise skills to your children to spread that amazing energy in a world starved for such tenacity and intelligence!
I have come to realize that as a builder, the one thing most people don’t comprehend is the sheer volume of material acquisition, and how many times it needs to be moved!
Ive done building and engineering design for over 10 years, and I must say, the techniques you figured out to build this on your own are ingenious (I especially like the trailer/insulation stack for tin)! Gives me some hope for where I live.
I went to Indiana university for architecture and focus study passive solar and thermal storage. You know you did well. I can relate to dreaming the plans and ideas eventually bringing it to life/reality. So id say your video is good enough i will start to share it with people as examples of what im talking about.
Hello my friend! :D Very nice. Great job! I love the idea of using the school bus windows for air flow. :D God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
Your video made me stop and think about utilizing your design into modern home building. Building a house using the greenhouse as the central element of the homes design makes so much sense on so many levels! Using the sun for natural supplemental heating, gardening and enjoying the "outdoors" during winter months would do so much for our overall wellness. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of your project and wish you continued success!
This deserves so many more views. This is incredible. Well done, its so impressive. I want to do somehting similar to this in Ottawa when I can. The idea of having year round growing in Canada is just so amazing.
That is awesome, and smart. You've made yourself and your family self-sustainable. I can't imagine a situation in which you would ever regret all that work.
Next year I will be out of DEBT, I been wanting to build a solar passive as well as self sustaining home! With your videos I finally figured out what and how to talk to an architect to achieve my goal. I Will build me a greenhouse home that has your ideas in it. I Will have my living quarters on the Northwest Wall inside my Green House. Using the passive Solar to heat and keep my living quarters warm in Winter and cool in Summer. I want to use and collect rainwater, and have Solar Panels installed. Thank you for this Video, i will show it to my architect next year so he can draw up my plans.
It would cost you five million dollars to build that today you did one hell of a job very proud of you I love growing stuff myself and I love building everything myself I have to applaud you very very cool Greenhouse
I wouldn't move to Mars unless this Canuck goes first LOL! I grow coffee and citrus small scale in Canada and this is like a Victorian garden, a grown kids dream.

You are an absolute GENIUS !!!!! but also hard working...... DON'T LET YOUR KIDS OR GRANDKIDS RIDE ON YOUR COAT TAILS......I'VE SEEN THIS 10,000 TIMES.......NO RESPECT, NO APPRECIATION
Yes. They need to feel some of life’s pains as I did to have the same perspective as me. But I’m here to help and advise them to advance further than I ever could. 👍🏻
Dean I have a lot of respect for you! Not too many people take on a task of this size by themselves these days. I've had luck sourcing a bunch of materials for a great price but will never be able to get close to you with the crazy prices these days. Happy for you that it's mostly completed and you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Can't wait for the next updates!
It’s doable. Everyone, including myself, is just going to have to get used to high inflation. So it costs more to build something, and produce anything, but people will have to get used to a head of lettuce being $20 as well. I’m trying my best to not get killed by inflation the only way I know how. ✌️
I am really blown away by how much insulation you put into that structure. That is such a super awesome sustainable investment into your families future. I can’t wait to see either sensible heat storage with the water tanks. I think the aquaponic aspect is going to be really amazing I can’t wait to see it. I’m going to build something very similar to what you built. Thank you very much for such a good job filming it.
Hi again... thanks for showing us the process. When I am able to do similar, I'm going to put the ceiling in first, then insulating it from the outside, then put the tin on, much more pleasant shift. If you ever do it again, remember this method, same job, just easier by far. I must have been busy five days ago... I enjoy your uploads and usually catch them on the same day, glad this came up on my feed. Best wishes to you and your crew.😉👍
You are a legend! Greetings from NE NY. Built my cabin, shop, and now piggery, brooding house and germination room over last 2 years. This year I’m milling 100 ft eastern pines to build my timber frame greenhouse. Will DEFINITELY be using some of your tricks! Thanks for sharing this. Very inspirational
Just viewed this morning - this is a really great project, and the level of detail you provide on the actual build is very well done. I really appreciated your comment about having been thinking about and planning it in your head for years and then seeing it come together as you imagined. That's a strong tool, the power of envisioning a thing, working through issues before a pencil touches a page. Thank you for posting this.
Fantastic build! Been watching your vids since Canadian Prepper came for a visit, you are living the life my partner and I dream of. You should plant a lawn in there for the areas you don't have beds where it's just dirt floor.
