- The first two sections of the famous Maclehose Trail set a rhythm of alternating peak and beach. Let the breathtaking views and waves refresh you before you turn your feet to the next rise.
The famous Maclehose Trail is a 100km hiking trail that's divided into 10 stages. The path is marked by distance posts at 500-metre intervals. The trail is named after Murray Maclehose, Baron Maclehose of Beoch, the longest-serving governor of Hong Kong, who established the Country Parks and was himself an enthusiastic hiker. The trail passes through a variety of natural scenery including beaches and mountains.
Maclehose Trail (Stage 1) starts at Pak Tam Chung, following Tai Mong Tsai Rd. and Sai Kung Man Yee Rd. that goes along the boundary of the High Island Reservoir which was built in 1978. Continuing to the first part heading to Long Ke beach and finishing there.
Maclehose Trail (Stage 2) starts on the path heading to Long Ke beach (end of stage 1), then it's a lot of downhills and uphills but rewarding you with breathtaking vistas and finishing at Pak Tam Au.
I'm doing a Maclehose Trail CHALLENGE for myself by hiking and completing all the STAGES of the famous MACLEHOSE TRAIL one by one on my days off. Mainly following the distance posts and marks of this hike and highlighting the beautiful views on the way and the directions on how to get to the starting points of the hikes and where the hike ends. Watch the whole video and it will guide you completely. Thank you and enjoy watching. Like, share and SUBSCRIBE too for support.

You are so great sis,,you can finish your hike. Good job.
On my last hike there, i give up and take the boat from che keng to wong shik pier, because that time almost 6pm.
Hello sis, it get dark also that time, I'm at Chek Keng like 6pm but still have time to go up to Pak Tam Au so I continue I walk fast haha so I can catch the last trip bus from Wong Shek Pier. Very nice hike it's worth it.
@@OFFROAD_HUNTER yes that's true,, but I've problem with my knees, after walk more than 6/7 hours, get painful whenever walk down the steps 😁
Ohh that's why, need to rest it after a long walk, no problem for me for now, maybe later when I get older hehe, but my toe nails are the one complaining hihi
Hi really like hiking if you don’t mind can I join with you next time please
Thank you for visiting and watching my video, yes you can join sis anytime when we go hiking
Let’s go! I do also have that goal. But I want to do it within one week 🤣🤣🤣 can I do it?!
Wowowow, yes you can! It's 100km, you can do 20km each day haha...hongkongers do camping at night and hike again the next day and camp and hike, they can finish it in 3 days!
@@OFFROAD_HUNTER Yes, I guess I can. But not in three days. I want to film, and camping would not be a problem. But I need to charge all these devices, and I need to get water. The water fountains in HK are still covered due to COVID. So, I will stay somewhere in a nearby hostel.
Yeah you have to get off the trail to take care of the things needed, not easy to film as you have to carry all the devices with you all the time, stay in Sai Kung for the first 5 stages it's closer :-)..
@@OFFROAD_HUNTER yes. Problem is just that you not get any sleeping place anymore in Sai Kung .. die to staycations 😬😬😬 Organisation of that even is more complicated than I guess the full hike 🤪
Haha true! You really need to plan for that properly, no rush haha
Ikaw pala Ate. Stage 1&2 ilang oras?
Jusko po, whole ko hike yan kasi normal speed lang ako, at grabe mga views sa daanan parang ayoko umalis sa place!
