Ohh I saw a Jollibee when you were walking, They are opening a Jollibee in Sydney, In Campletown. Your mums cooking looks just as good if not better than the restaurants. Great vid once again Janice.
Love your dam and soup experience. Thanks for sharing. Not everyone creates drinks and food from concentrate, which is good. Real natural ingredients. And a unique and creative culinary experience. Meanwhile we're in winter here, lol.
Janice, the Hung Kee restaurant looks like you are seating in a resto south of france or Northern spain by the sea. Incredible that this is HK. Lovely video and awesome food.
I am glad you told us about the tea bowl to wash our fingers. I would definitely have drink it and order a couple more! I love to visit geo-parks, it's so impressive what nature can do. I think I told you already but once again, your mom's cooking looks amazing!
The park was beautiful and the blue sky with the lovely view of the water was so nice ..I loved the seafood near the water it looked Delish and I love it when you cook at the end of the vlog ..Always appreciated Janice ..x❤️🥰💕
The food looks so amazing! I love those mantis prawns. It’s amazing that you can read Chinese. I can only speak so traveling in HK sometimes it’s a challenge.
it was pretty good! haha I kept calling them scampi but they were indeed mantis prawns I learnt a lot of words by watching TVB and reading the subtitles haha!
Can’t wait to come to Hong Kong again. Been watching a few of your videos and the food, the city and the views are as amazing as I remember it from a few years ago!
I remember visiting Sai Kung a long, long time ago. Last century, in fact. Back then I had a delicious seafood dinner at another restaurant, whose name I cannot remember, but I recall that they were literally over the water. I still have fond memories of Sai Kung, and if an opportunity to revisit Sai Kung arises, I'll be sure to take it - now that I know how to get there using public transport!
Hey Janice another great video.. just wanna let you know that those r not scampi they are a type of Mantis Shrimps. Still very tasty though when cook in salt n pepper style
Scampi? Scampi?! 😂 That's pissing shrimp. I'm guessing Aussies say it differently? In America they're called mantis shrimp. Loving the video. Those are pickled leeks as starters. They're supposed to "open your appetite" once you get acclimated to them, they're very very very addicting
Hahah I think I just got it wrong. Ooo I can see how those pickled leeks would ‘open your appetite’! Gotta eat a few more before I completely rule them out 😅
That was an amazing park, I'm huffing and puffing just watching you do all that walking. I must add the pistachio soup to my St. Patrick's Day celebration. 😆
Will have to check out the geopark next time I visit Hong Kong. I love the look of the desserts you got! And the food your mom cooked looked sooooo good! Awesome video… keep up the good work! Off topic, have you ever eaten at Little Bao? 😊
After taking the MTR to Diamond Hill station-what is the bus number to Sai Kung? I’ve been wanting to go to Sai Kung for a very long time. Because of Covid -19, my wife doesn’t want to travel to anywhere. Thank you for your videos-very well done and down to earth!
Thanks for all the hk videos, I really miss bing kong! is UA-cam your full time job or are you taking time off work? I wish I can take time off work to go back too 😊
Hi Janice, how's the coffee quality in HK now? Last in HK 10 years ago & coffee was crap, Sai Kung seafood the best, never knew there was a Geopark in HK, amazing scenery:)
I still find coffee in Australia a lot better. There are definitely more options in Hong Kong now, but they are quite pricey.. typically twice the price of what they cost in Sydney
Yes,l would have known, sai kung is my home town and my first summer holiday weekend job was selling cold drink by that dam 40 years ago with two large bucket filled with ice and water😳.....than we would have a meal and a swim at pak lap Village just a few miles down the road ....l think people still go there for camping
Interesting seeing a part of HK without the usual loads of people around. As usual, I love watching your mother cooking . She’s a gem !
thanks Sharon, I'll let her know! :)

I can't believe I've never been there before! I might go this winter.
You should def give it a visit!
the best way to get to sai kung it to take the mtr to hang hau and the 101m! takes you straight to the waterfront or town fastest!
I remember visiting Sai Kung a long, long time ago. Last century, in fact. @@JaniceFung yes their seafood is the best!

That pickled Chinese Onion thing you didn't like is called "蕎頭", or Rakkyo in Japanese, and I think the English name is "Allium chinense"

Love your videos! Moved out of Hong Kong in 2018 and haven’t had the chance to visit there ever since. Thank you for bringing back lovely memories! 💕

nope I haven't eating at Little Bao - where about is it?
@@JaniceFung Little Bao Diner is very close to Victoria Park. It’s at 9 Kingston Street. There is a second location in Central. 😊

Your mum is an excellent cook, she should have her own cooking channel then you could do collabs.
haha im convincing her to start her own channel!
@@JaniceFung great to hear, she'll be a star!
2nd and thanks so much Janice and mum!
Cheers Greg!
Your mum's cooking looks delicious. If she ever wants to adopt an Australian sister, I'm available.
hahahah all we gotta do is add another pair of chopsticks! 😬😉
Good if you could do a review of Hong Kong Cafe in Rhodes
I NEED that pork knuckle recipe! Please, I’ll pay lol
I’ll ask my mum for the recipe!

$250 HKD round trip by taxi? Doesn't seem too bad if 2+ people considering you have to change buses if going there via transit.
Yea it’s not bad
Sorry la, not FIRST, but I'm here again! Have you moved to HK for good or is this only a wee holiday?
im back in Sydney!
@@JaniceFung thats great, i have a few suggestions for restaurants to check out!
