There is a channel on UA-cam that is doing all of that. The first 11 episodes have been posted, but they are doing it in 4 stages and doing the AI Upscale first, then the damage removal or colour correction or whatever, and then reuploading as they go along. It looks awesome with just the upscale. There is another channel that has upscaled it, but it looks awful as the AI did not do amvery good job, and it actually looks worse.

You can't upscale cell-animation. Animation works at a specific framerate, and if you increase it without animating frames to fill in the gaps, it looks HORRIBLE.
Things I’d take over a 3d version of G1:

-Literally any new show, whatsoever.
Instead of redoing all of G1, it’d be cool to get just the pilot episodes animated in 3d. So about an hour of 3d G1 to celebrate the 40th anniversary.

I'd love to see the comics adapted into a show. Not sure if it could happen, since IDW and Hasbro parted ways and the rights are (presumably) split between the two companies for those stories, creating the same issue that keeps Spectacular Spider Man from being revived.

We had season 4. Two of them. 3 episodes in the US and a whole Headmasters season in Japan.
I think it’s time to do another 20 year jump. Set a new show 2 decades from the ending of Rebirth. You can include the later toys like Powermasters, pretenders and micro masters, but I’d prefer something completely new but done in that style
How about a show that bridges the gap between season 2 and the 86 movie? It would have modern 2D animation that still emulates the original art style.

When I was growing up in the 90’s, the cartoon was long gone off tv so the only way to watch G1 was finding old VHS tapes. I had the movie, along with some such as Key to Victor Sigma which was obviously set before the movie and the return of Optimus Prime, Fight or Flee which were after.
I always assumed there were episodes where Hot Rod, Magnus etc arrived on earth before the movie. It was only when the DVD’s were released that it dawned on me that these characters just randomly appear in the movie with no introduction. I would love to see how and why they arrived

I 100% agree about remastering the G1 cartoon. We already have an overabundance of remakes & reboots nowadays.
Judd Nelson sounded like a young Teenager in the 1986 series, in the Transformers Machinma Series he sounds like old man 👴.
He would definitely sound more like Rodimus Prime than Hot Rod.
I definitely agree that anyone asking for a G1 remake with the original cast, the original stories, the original art style, really just wants a remaster of the original cartoon. And depending on how TV animation was made back then, you might not even need to use digital upscaling for that. If the show was mastered on film, and those film masters still exist, it might be possible to just rescan those film masters in 4K.
That said, I wouldn't say I'm opposed to a true, from-the-ground-up remake, if only for the novelty of it. Same basic story concepts, but entirely new scripts. Same basic character and location design ideas, but entirely new models and animation. Voice work inspired by the original, but with entirely new actors giving entirely new performances. Not necessarily for every episode, but I think it would be cool to see what we can do with that material now. And ideally, something that aims to coexist with the original, not replace it.

If it's a show drawing from Marvel UK, Dreamwave and Skybound with the same creative spirit as Animated or Beast Wars; then I think the audience of now would dig stories like Target 2006 and War Within in animated form.
My biggest wish for years has been for Hasbro to make an animated movie based on the More Than Meets the Eye 3-parter similar to Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You. That movie retold Ash and Pikachu’s first adventures with modern animation, and it added elements that kept it fresh while still honoring the original story. In a similar vein, they could retell MTMTE with new animation, maybe add some characters like Arcee or Elita-1, and add new spins on some of those original concepts.
There’s also the transformers, G1, unofficial continuation UA-cam channel that got a voice actor to do star scream. That sounds so similar to Chris Lotta, that a casual Transformers fan may or may not mistake them for him. Hasbro could just get the guy to do Starscream in a redone G1 show. Also, I would really like to see them continue the show with headmasters, victory, battle, stars, and zone adaptations/footage dubs.

I don't think so. Some plot points I would like to be done again in other shows:
-Cybertron previus 3 world wars
-Optimus Prime and Megatron not knowing each other before the new war
-The fact that some decepticons were cybertronians hacked by Megatron and didn't joined them by their will
-Cybertron energy crisis
-Autobots and Decepticons first powersets: Windcharger's magnetism, Brawn's super strenght, Hound's hollographs, etc.
You know what I think would be cool someone reanimating the first few episodes or simplifying the Transformers G1 series by stop motion we have all these toys why not put them to good use
I’m curious to see what a continuation/epilogue to The Rebirth would be like. Takara produced a handful of shows set after the G1 cartoon, but they ignored the events of The Rebirth to tell their own story, creating a split timeline. The most we get to see of a post-G1 story (that’s not Beast Wars since it’s set WAY after that) would be when a kid named Tom Kennedy got the opportunity to meet Optimus Prime, who gained his Powermaster form. Would anyone be down for a post-Rebirth epilogue?

I would like more content that fits between season 2 and the ‘86 movie. What led to the Decepticons controlling Cybertron? How did the Autobots build Autobot City? Where did Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod and the others come from? How long did Optimus have the Matrix, and what all does the G1 matrix do?
They just rebooted the comic on skybound and it's amazing. I think they could do the same thing with the g1 cartoon.
I certainly wouldn't mind a remake of generation 1, but I do think that it'd probably end up being quite radically different from the original. To a point it could end up being argued that it isn't really a true remake.
As a kid from the 80's, I also would have loved to see a remake of the G1 Transformers and the movie itself (to at least include all the Transformers that appeared up to that point, combiners, Omega Supreme, Skyfire, etc). But I understand it would be a massive undertaking, costly and difficult to remake everything from G1. A remastered version would be more possible, to at least eliminate the animation errors and incorrect voiceovers, not to mention all the episodes with storylines that made no sense. (Which a remake could certainly correct) but again, not very practical to do so. So I understand now more why it would be very difficult to remake the whole series.

I would personally love a good remake of the OG cartoon.
I'd rather see it done as a high quality anime and I'd really love it if they reworked the origins of the Transformers to include Henshin Cyborg, Diaclone/Micro Change, and the Primus/Unicron mythology.
Throw in an introduction to G.I. Joe and Micronauts which would be spin-offs.
I would argue that most transformers series after the Beast Era ended are G1 remakes, especially every continuity we've gotten since 2007.
Rather than retelling the same story, I think what they should do is take a page out of Beast Wars' book and give us a sequel series that talks about the distant descendants of the autobots and decepticons; characters that may have some vague connection to the originals, but are their own characters with their own story.
That being said, if I were to remake the G1 continuity, I'd begin it exactly as it did in the original three-parter and keep things the same, right up until they establish a space bridge back to Cybertron. This is where things would differ, because millions of years is a long time, and it's asinine to think everything would be as they left it when they get back. When the leaders of the warring factions and their respective crews get back to Cybertron, they discover that in their absence, new leadership was elected on both sides to replace them, and the torch has been passed multiple times since then, and the war has been over for longer than most transformers on the planet can remember, the factions they led no longer exist, and nobody has any desire to reignite the conflict, in large part because it took most of the time they were absent just to rebuild after all the damage that was done. The crew members from both sides each decide to go their own way; some remain on earth, some go back to Cybertron and reintegrate into society, some leave for parts unknown. And this leaves Optimus Prime and Megatron, two formerly great leaders, without purpose, because they'd been fighting each other for so long that neither of them thought to consider what they'd do when the fighting was over. This culminates in the two seated beside each other on a park bench, the only ones left who can possibly understand the other's position, and in that situation, they find a strange kinship, not unlike Charles Xavier and Max Eisenhart/Erik Lehnsherr.
A remake of G1, including the movie, but using the original soundtrack would be a dream come true for me. If i was a multi billionaire or something, I'd make it happen.
They could do it in the devastation art style

I feel its a bit of a fallacy that nostalgia can only be made with G1. Given how many great shows have come out since G1 I think its safe to say that nostalgia can come from any of them
G1 doesn't need to be remade. It's not a videogame. Maybe something like Dragon Ball Kai where they just cleaned up the picture and enhanced the sound. As a side note, here's a scary thought. If Beast Wars weren't budgeted, Retrax would've been on the show. One final thing, if you would have to recast Optimus, who else would want Brian Bloom?
I like what IDW did; they used G1 as inspiration and took it their own direction. That's what I'd like to see a new Trnsformers show do.

When Transformers: Devastation came out, that thought certainly crossed my mind. No need to rewrite it... Just reanimate it with that 2.5D, cel-shaded style.
Always thought it would be cool if they heavily remastered beast wars. Like kept the music and voice actors but just brought the animation to today’s standards. Then give people the option to watch the original or the remake. I feel like it would really do well to help kids today get into the show easier.
Frankly, I'm in favor of a reboot with more cohesive writing set today. I'm in favor of a more or less straightforward retelling, but with some clues at time travel in the background that astute G1 fans might notice that cause the Ark and Nemesis to leave "early" and have slightly different (Read: Much smaller for modern audiences) casts. You can then do an Abramsverse "reveal" later in the season showing firmly establishing that this is a new universe. I think the key is to set the series "today"; 20 years ago I thought that meant making Spike a Gargoyle's Xanatos-style nuanced villain while Daniel fills the Spike role; 40 years in I guess we can focus on Daniel in the role with a new Spike, named for his philanthropic grandfather.
If I was in charge, I'd argue we need a Palate Cleanser series; and 1-2 years of Dinobots Chase a villain to Earth, land on a Skull-Island-esque Dinobot Island (rich with Energon) and are reawakened by 19th century explorers leading to a showdown with, say, Scorponok and his Insecticons for the vast energon found on the island, sounds like a fun, self-contained story. (Make sure a Decepticon Tarantulus is there, too, hinting at time travel...) Make it action-packed and kind of brutal, do 1-2 years of mechanical dinosaurs vs mechanical creepy crawlies (and/or combining Terrorcons for a 2nd year?), then give us the reboot, only to have the Insecticons and later Dinobots show up later in the season. Dinobots can be a big action, big budget fighting anime, with giant robots tearing into each other. I imagine Grimlock going around to reawaken and recruit his old crew, many of whom need convincing after having been stranded for who knows how long. Of course Bombshell being able to (temporarily) mind control someone can lead to some great fight scenes. Flashbacks to the (ugh) Dyno-Bots and toys of their (not terrible) cybertronian vehicle modes could be fun, and you could even throw in a cybertronian Optimus and Megatron to keep the names alive. In contrast, the G1 reboot could focus on science fiction when it's not telling heavy handed allegories for energy preservation and environmentalism. If S2 didn't give us a near-beat for beat remake of Golden Lagoon, I'd be disappointed.

@@anthonysmith3415 because it's NOT perfect. It's close, but it's not perfect. There are still LOTS of animation errors. Characters are miss coloured, dead characters reappear later in the movie, Optimus Prime has two matrixes, Unicrons entire face design is radically different from when he first transforms vs the rest of the movie. They could even do things like add Snarl into some of the action scenes so he's more present. They could finish the story board deleted scenes like Magnus driving the Autobot cars to fight Devastator. There's a lot that could be done. I don't *need* the extra scenes added, and I don't think that would ever happen, I just think it'd be cool. But the main thing I want is for all the errors fixed. And like, don't have Scourges head pop up when Cyclonus says "Do you want me to gut Ultra Magnus for you?" because it makes it look like Scourge says the line, which he doesn't
@@izzik2781 the main issue with that is you know they're not going to use cel animation, it would likely be digital and you will obviously tell when it gets replaced, what we have fits and is consistent with the animation of the time, adding anything to it that's from now will never look right, and reanimating the whole thing you can tell it wont look as detailed in color, lines, background or even the right art style, the might even cheap out and use CGI for cars and background assets which really looks terrible, you can bet Unicron will be fully CGI, they wont put in the effort for hand drawn animation on the transformation, digital backgrounds will just never match hand painted backgrounds either, they look so generic and have no sense of natural environmental colors, it looks so sterile and clean
@@anthonysmith3415 So? If they screw it up, then I'll just stick to watching the original. A remastered version doesn't cause the OG to suddenly stop existing, so what's the downside? Either they copy the animation style so it looks even better than the original and fixing all the errors, in which case that's amazing and exactly what I want. OR they do it all in CGI so it looks wrong, in which case I'll just stick to the original. So effectively, either we get something awesome and new or nothing changes and we stay with the original. There is literally no downside to attempting a remaster
1.) 99% of cel animation has errors. Transformers fans fixate on them because the Rhino workprints highlighted the errors and featured unfinished animation that called them to people's attention.
2.) Nobody casually watching the movie even notices or cares, because all movies have continuity and technical mistakes that nobody other than wiki nerds cares about.

Don’t need a remaster, I’m fine watching it free on UA-cam. It is what it is and there’s nothing wrong with it.
It’s the same as the constant remastering of old rock albums. Why does everything have to look and sound like it was released today? Especially when the OG creators and Artists can’t give there input.
What I would want in regards of a G1 remake is something I thought of under a “What If” where I was working at Disney, and I was spearheading a Transformers series under the Disney banner (that is supposed to accompany a trilogy of animated films). My idea of G1 is an approach similar, but different to Earthspark; Have the G1 cartoon be a “broad-stroke” generalization of my Disney Transformers series’ backstory. Then, for a few holiday specials or specials in general, remake and expand on select G1 Cartoon episodes. Prime example of this idea: an Earth Day Special that is a remake and expansion of the episode, The Golden Lagoon.
Under this idea, what G1 episodes would you like to be remade and expanded for a Special in general or a holiday special?
A talking point or part 2 of this discussion for a video idea, perhaps?
The closest thing to a remake that I'd allow would be a Special Edition where they fix all the various animation errors.
I want a show taking place directly after the rebirth
The original show was already made. Some of the errors are part of the nostalgic charm. It's one of the reasons people don't like special editions that Star Wars started. (Doctor Who even tried it with some old episodes and I've only liked one change of the few I've seen.) Making it crisper for a modern screen? Maybe, but that should be an optional setting. There would still be plenty of fans who want to see it as it was. I would be one of them.
Transformers Prime was sort of G1 remade … but the thing is modern cartoons don’t allow for the amount of characters G1 had. The casts are always much smaller.

If you really want to go back and revisit G1.....
1. For the episodes themselves, just fix the animation errors. That's it.
2. Make a sequel series. Ironically, you can look at the Machinima series in this light. I'm not saying to use that story, or that style, or anything. Just pick the story up sometime after The Rebirth (and it can be well after it!), and you can do that with a new voice cast, CGI, smaller cast, etc.
Should they ever release the series again on 4k/bluray, I would like it to be the broadcast master remastered. Just the broadcast master. I don't care if the Rhino master looks better, it has the mistakes in it. The broadcast master is how it was intended to be seen.
I'd be happy with a 3D version of G1, but perhaps as an anthology series that could focus on different year's worth of characters. So 1984 focuses on characters from 1984 toyline, 1985 would be those characters in focus, and so on for 1986, 1987, etc.
An alternate take would be to give G2 a proper animated series, a chance to be its own thing.
What I want, is for them to completely remake the 1st 3 episodes, (more than meets the eye) In live action and as a full movie
For me I would love a Transformers G1 remake with improved 2D animation. Get Toei to do it.
I don't trust Toei. Sure they animated the 86 movie, but that was 38 years ago.
And sure, some of the Dragonball movies look really good, but Super was really spotty animation-wise in a lot of areas. One Piece can also look good at times, but it's THE most popular manga in Japan. Those are pop culture PILLARS in their home country, and if even Dragonball can't get consistently good animation. I wouldn't trust them to give Transformers more than pennies for a production budget.

Only if it fixes all the animation errors, restores more toy accuracy (aside from Ironhide/Ratchet, Trailbreaker's face, and the face changes made for the show) esp in transformation, adds in the toy characters in the background, and adds in toy details like sticker detail, and adds in the Scramble City combiners actually switching limbs around instead of always combining the same way (looking at you Menasor, where the cars simply attach to the backs of the legs or sides of arms rather than being the arms/legs).
So… I would like to see a continuation of G1… decepticons regroup… Jhiaxus and Shockwave find a way to separate the programming for Megs and the rest… all updated bodies…Tarn and the rest retake Cybertron… movie ends with: Prime has no choice but to merge with Vector Sigma to get back those lost in 86 movie… they get new bodies… updated alts…. movie two… it isn’t enough and Prime comes back halfway through as power master Prime…Quintessons have rebuilt Quintessa and made new combiners in the G2 colors… new character names to fight and combiner names… Megatron sees no choice but to join forces… Tarn takes over decepticons completely… a number of decepticons leave with Megatron, those who were most loyal…end of third movie: Return of the Primes… all 12 and destroy the Quintessons and their army…
Rather than another remake, I'd rather they do an animated series interpretation of the IDW 1 Comic Book Stories (the Good Continuity); Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, the Lost Light, Tarn, Overlord, Rewind, the Dead Universe, etc. It would be an Epic Space Opera.

A straight remaster of the original cartoon with extended and cut scenes would be great, too.
I’ve been thinking of a G1 remastered of sorts,like what was stated in the video was to fix animation errors and also add some episodes to feature spotlights on more characters like the creation of the Protectobots and Terrorcons, as well as filling in the 20 year gap between season 2 and the movie, also continue where The Rebirth left off but keep the same animation style. As for the casting is to recast everyone and find voice actors that would fit in those roles
They could also do a series based between the end of season 3 and Rebirth. Time had passed, so much had changed and many characters had disappeared while many new ones were now on the scene. There was an implication of a huge battle having taken place after Prime returned which I'm guessing is why many characters from both sides were no more. I'd love a new season based in that timeframe.
@@TF80s I’ve been wondering about that too. Like what you said, where did the new characters come from. Another thing I forgot to add from before was the introduction of the season 2 character and also the cassettes for Blaster and Soundwave
I think it would be brilliant for Hasbro to do a Season 2.5 of the G1 cartoon. However, to do it right. Meaning to modernize the stories, but keep similar and updated animation, and keep the original character designs would be imperative.
A re-make? To what end? Maybe fix the animation errors and DAIN them into 4k 60FPS. For TFTM maybe also depth scan and put it into full IMAX 3D. But as for continuing the story, there are a lot of gaps and open questions. The guy(girl?) that did the Arcee and Starscream short films, yeah, I would trust him to do a season 2.5.
What's funny is that a few days ago I was thinking how the original mini series was actually pretty good, it's the rest of G1 that disapoints me so I would like to see how you could do a good original show by using only the miniserie as a starting point. Not using any foreknowledge of what lore was yet to come, or even what new toys could be added. Just take those three episodes and extrapolate.
I'm not sure if this actually counts as a form of AI-but another use of AI worth considering in regard to voice acting, is the kind used to modulate real voices. This isn't the typical 'type in some text and a sound-bit will spew out' we usually see today, and would actually need real voice actors. Not only would this preserve the original voices of the cartoon, but no jobs would be replaced either. I can imagine the returning voice actors from the show basically becoming rejuvenated.
I'm not sure if now is the time for such a thing, as the tech is in early stages of development. Well known examples like those used in Tiktok are very crude. But there are some currently which actually don't sound all that bad.
I don't think this would be proper for a remaster at all. But if there were to be something like a continuation of the series where it left off (Which I would love), or perhaps even a remake (Which I would agree doesn't need to happen)
Why not make a retelling of G1, a remake what takes the elements, characters and storylines and retell them in a new way. For example, the Transformers wake up in 2024 instead of 1984. Galvatron is the leader of the Decepticons. So the first three episodes would kind of be the same however difference would occur there could be hints about Unicron early, we could meet the 86 Transformers sooner. The episodic nature of G1 could become more serialized as the way television has been made over the years. One idea might be that Ultra Magnus is the Autobot that Starscream says goodbye to when he fires on Mount St. Hilary, and Magnus has the Matrix of Leadership and Orion Pax is the Bumblebee be character and it is Orion Pax lights their darkest hour and becomes Optimus Prime. The war heats up as Megatron wants to destroy the Autobots for for destroying his God.
I don't think you could do an G1 in an hour, it would take an hour just to show every single character

And Season 3 absolutely had stuff that made nine-year-old me ask questions, like Bruticus being right there with the indimavidual Combaticons...or Unicron with funky human lookin' eyes instead of normal robot eyes after gettin' one each from Metroplex & Trypticon (I wonder if that's where stuff like Bayverse got the robot pupils from)...or so many peeps (largely Decepticons, but Alpha Trion in season 2 did it first and seems to be the only Autobot) with their robot beards...and so on. And the only question that got a legit answer was Jazz being silent in Five Faces of Destruction, though it was an answer I didn't get until my late 20s (Jazz's voice actor died shortly before production on season 3 started).
I had G1 episodes on tape and watched them for literal years. Of course I noticed the errors-- and just accepted them as part as the show as anything else. I don't know why so many have an issue with that.
I would love to have a show that is literally all Shattered Glass.

Remakes rarely are worthwhile, but Transformers is a property that really deserves good animation and/or CG, and the original series' animation has not aged well at all. I think the ideal solution would be doing a shot-for-shot remake and keeping all the same audio. With good animation and the right conduit for airing (which is definitely tougher in a streaming age), the old show could connect with a new generation of kids, probably more successfully than Earthspark.
How about professionally done voice dubbed Victory, Masterforce, Beast Wars 2 and BW Neos in brilliant digital color, HD, physical DVD sets and with all the bells and whistles?
Then they can do some new series like season 2 Earth spark or something?

If there's a remake, I would expect them to redo the stories and of course the characters would have updated alt modes. Soundwave would be a truck and Sideswipe would be Revuelto.

I'd like something that at the beginning seems to be a remake and then flips the narrative in some way. Like Rebuild of Evangelion or the Scott Pilgrim series. If someone doesn't like it, the originals are still out there, is what I think.

Maybe I'd be down to readapt some of the more famous multi-parters for something but I don't know what else you'd do to make it worth remaking an entire show for, let alone a 98 episode 80's show that's all over the place due to the style of the time it was made in

AI upscale interpolation of animation is actual, objective garbage. The AI does not actually know what the frames are supposed to look like, or how to add proper looking frames if you want to make it higher than the original 24fps.
What you end up with really is "technically" crisper, but it also ends up muddying or completely messing up the image in various measurable ways which are actually worse than what you started with.
I wished they tried to do another "aligned continuity" since the original one sort of fell off after RID 2015. It would be cool to have a cast mixed with new takes of G1, Unicron Trilogy, and Bayverse characters similar to how Animated was/would have been.
A Five Faces of Darkness redo is all we need. Just a remake of the Akom visuals, not the audio. Keep the original audio! Even if the voice acting sounds a little muffled in some episodes.
I've always thought Five Faces of Darkness deserved better in terms of visuals given the amount of world-building and storytelling that's involved with those episodes. Overall, the G1 cartoon should be left as it is, with perhaps a digital upscale as was discussed in TJ's video. The G1 voice acting cast was lightning in a bottle, it's just something we won't see again, or be able to replicate.
I believe Alex Tudyk would be the great successor to Peter Cullen.

Only a matter of time before someone goes in and re-masters and uses AI/CGI to fix animation errors. You better believe I noticed them constantly as a kid. But that was the technology. Just like people accepted static on a broadcast, or a record scratch, it was our acceptance of the limitations of the technology. The imperfection of cheap cell-animated cartoons was such that we simply acknowledged and compensated with our imaginations. We knew it wasn't an animated Disney movie. (When those were the pinnacle.) I would also love, almost as a project, to see someone actually improve Carnage in C-Minor with actual beautiful, composed music, and some improved animation.
I honestly think the Skybound comics are the closest thing to a spiritual remake G1 will get, and that’s fine by me. That comic is so good it’s actually made me care about the G1 continuity specifically for the first time ever (sorry, zoomer who grew up on Armada here).
So this is one of those things that AI may actually enable even on a modest budget. Either to do the whole thing, or to create assets like backgrounds and such. Would it look perfect? No, but of course you can budget for people to correct AI mistakes with the money saved.
There is already remakes of generation, one both the comics, and the Saturday morning cartoon, which are in dream wave and idw
So I was 8 when G1 came out and I grew up with some of the best animated shows ever made in the 80s, Transformers being my favorite. First, anything that isn't 2d animation isn't even an option. Second, the voice work in the OG cartoon is beyond stellar and even today those ARE the voices for those characters to me so that really cannot ever be replaced so it would have to just be carried over. Clean up the OG show, but anything else I wouldn't watch. I really don't even like any of the shows when things went over to GCI. I'll watch Beast Wars but Neo still looks better as it was animated in 2d. This is of course just my old man opinion, but I would honestly prefer they create new characters rather than always pitting Optimus versus Megatron, but they'll never do that lol.
I would love a special that provides an end to the actual g1 cartoon. The final defeat of the decepticons and the leading up to the start of beast wars. Well not that whole period in between but the final end of the Autobot decepticons war following the end of rebirth. Just show Galvatron and Zarak fighting for control, that being the downfall of the decepticons, and the creation of that agreement. The pax something or other (drawing a blank of the name of that for some reason)... And maybe have a scene with Peter Cullen and Garry Chalk finally as both their respective Optimus's. I agree with wanting to have new voice actors but we deserve to have one official meeting between Prime and Primal with their original actors. But that last is a tangent. Sorry. Lol
G1 shouldn’t be remade unless remastering is counted as remade(idk if it is considered that or not). However, a continuation series, kinda like X-men 97 coming out, would be pretty neat to see. They could hop around the original seasons timeline wise, maybe even some episodes set before and after the original show. New stories set in the G1 universe pretty much, an anthology series.
I think my childhood brain was trained to accept the animation errors in G1 because I didn't see it in color until well into the second season. I watched the entire first season in black and white.

I wouldn't like to see a remake of g1 but them.go back and do between season 2 and the movie and show how Megatron took cybertron back in a newer animation. And yes most g1 fans were aware of the errors even when we were kids and hadnt forgotten at all most of us talked about that in school
