Wifi Card in the video - geni.us/Rf7k *Hey guys so most of you are probably watching this video years later and I kept getting comments telling me that the Wifi card I showed in the video is overpriced now or out of stock. TP Link actually updated the Wifi card and this is the newest version. Here's the link - geni.us/GItGmx I'll probably make an update video and get back into backing videos. I"ll mostly likely start PC Builds. - Nov 2020
Thanks Carlos, very, very, helpful tip, and Carlos, you made that look so easy, from seeing you do it, I know that I can do it, you gave me confidence, and yes, Carlos, I just had to give your comment a thumbs up, Rock on dude!!!! :-)
So this is where I ended up while trying to figure out why my prebuilt wasn't connecting and I now feel a bit stupid lol. Exactly what I needed though, thank you so much.
Nice video, you can use a WiFi card which is a X1 PCIe, in any open slot. If you only have a X4 or X16 open, it is perfectly all right to put the card into that slot. The PC will recognize it is a X1 and treat it as such.
Besides windows 10 not picking up my drivers this was very helpful and straight to the point, thanks. Just sucks I had to remove my sound card to make this work so something I'll have to think about in the future.
Thanks for the vid. I used to think modern desktop motherboards should have built-in wifi connectivity. Turn out they don't and I need one of these PCI cards. It cleared my doubt.
Is it better to get WIFI cards or get a WIFI USB stick instead? I can only afford at Linksys Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band since most of my money is going into the PC itself.
Thanks so much, moved my desktop into my room yesterday, watched your video, ordered the wireless card from Amazon - they delivered it same day whoo hoo! I installed it this morning and it's all good. This lady loves being able to sort things out like that. Thanks again!
How did windows find and install drivers without being connected to the internet? Do you need to be connected by ethernet in order to install a wireless adapter?
This is way faster than USB and isn't limited to USB speeds. You'll get faster speeds plus you'll have an open USB port that isn't being used if you go the wifi card route and in my opinion it looks cleaner inside your PC than having a USB stick sticking out. :)
I just got Optic Fiber the 11/16 and it's a week more or less that I'm testing it, and yes I fell in love hahaha this is awesome! I always get 85-90/20 MB and the contract is 100/20. A dream that came true.
Hi Carlo. Im moving into an apartment and they have built in wifi so I dont know what type their router or modern is, does that matter for using a wireless card for my pc? Also what are differences between use this wireless card and a USB wireless adaptor?
That really doesn't matter as long as the router has wifi your okay. And using a USB adapter is way slower compared to this, the wifi card is the way to go!
When it comes to wireless cards, does more antenna mean better connection? I have one which is just a single antenna and its not catching internet very well. Its alright for normal tasks but when it comes to gaming, its really bad. Please help!
If only PC build guides showed this part to attain wireless internet. Cheers for this vid!
+Kenshi Im gonna start PC Build guides soon on the channel. I've always been part of the PCMR :)
Carlos Delgado subbed! Just built my PC today and installed windows, now all I have to do is install this wireless wifi adapter :)

Thanks Carlos, very, very, helpful tip, and Carlos, you made that look so easy, from seeing you do it, I know that I can do it, you gave me confidence, and yes, Carlos, I just had to give your comment a thumbs up, Rock on dude!!!! :-)
Carlos Delgado do you need windows 10 activated to use the WiFi card
So this is where I ended up while trying to figure out why my prebuilt wasn't connecting and I now feel a bit stupid lol. Exactly what I needed though, thank you so much.
Came with a simple question, and I got a straightforward, funny, short, descriptive video answer. Well done bro. Subbing just for that.

Tomas Villegas Thanks homie! I kept wondering when my next video was going to be.

BAM! Glad I was able to help!
Wait a moment, how did you get that old texture for WiFi like in windows 7? It's so beautiful.
really helpful thanks should I still buy this wifi card in 2018
Awesome video!... It must be pretty economical for a landscaping company to have an employee that can also fix their desktop. Thanks Carlos!
Tabula Rasa Actually I'm in the other business, I'm part co-owner of a 1000 acre farm. You were close.
Carlos, I noticed your speed test results. Are you in the U.S.? and if so, who is your carrier? Thanx, Pete
ty man !!! i really needed to mirror my PC on my smart tv .. and this was the wireless answer TY
Thats exactly what I need ! I just wanna ask how the connection is ? Do u usually get disconected from the wifi or does it stay stable ?
Thanks for the vid. I used to think modern desktop motherboards should have built-in wifi connectivity. Turn out they don't and I need one of these PCI cards. It cleared my doubt.
thnx bro i was confused what is wireless card and lan card but u helped me thnx bro
Thank you! Made it super simple!
:) I"m glad it was simple.
Excellent, simple explanation- thanks
Damn Carlos! Flexing that internet connection speed
That fiber!
Straight and to the point! Thank you
This is super useful! Thanks!
Waiiit... So if you already have windows 10 installed you dont need to do anything with the card?
Awesome and very helpful video man! Keep up the great work'
Thanks man!
a bit more slowly on locating the PCI express slot would have been helpful and appreciated. Thanks
very helpful. good job man. subscribed.
Easy to understand. Thanks
Any better options in 2017 or will this still hold up?
Great job, quick to the point!
Hey Carlos... What's the name of that case you have?
It's this one fam! - amzn.to/2fq8RqN
Carlos Delgado cool
ur girl
"Thats what she said." Nyahahaha thanks
Haha for sure !
LOL, hey just wanted to say congranduations on 2,000 subscribers
+fpsgaming aman Thanks :)
+Carlos Delgado so to install i just need the correct PCI slot and a DVD optical drive? and of course windows 7
"now to boot up the pc and hope it doesn't explode"...... this had me in TEARS.
Thanks for the video. It was very helpful, and I appreciate your time.
Hey man thanks for the video, this helped me install mine!
Is it better to get WIFI cards or get a WIFI USB stick instead? I can only afford at Linksys Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band since most of my money is going into the PC itself.
Does the wifi adapter do the same thing? Make our PC wireless?
Thank you this video help me a lot now I know exactly what to do :)
I'm glad it helped you!
thanks Carlos! helped me a lot!
Your welcome! I'm glad it helped you out!
Nice vid, with that set up can you use your phone cell data as a hotspot if your internet is off-line?
Yup, you should be able to.
I know this is an old video but being a noob it really helped thanks
"Does pretty good" *procedes to show 95 Mbps upload speed -_- it takes me 3 hours to upload a 5 minute video in 60fps
And smallish bitrate too
thats your wifi not the card
Chase Mclaughlin I get less then 5 down, don't feel so bad
PorkGames I was talking about the wifi, of course the card has nothing to do with the speed
? Blame Sombra I thought 8 mbs was good.
Once the wireless card is in, does a thing pop up to set it up or do you still need an Ethernet before to set it up
Thanks so much, moved my desktop into my room yesterday, watched your video, ordered the wireless card from Amazon - they delivered it same day whoo hoo! I installed it this morning and it's all good. This lady loves being able to sort things out like that. Thanks again!
Perfect Carlos
+Sam Jeppi 👍🏼
Great video, almost a year later but still pertinent
+Matt Di Loreto thanks man
I have a micro atx motherboard and a 2 slot graphics card, what's the best wifi card for this solution. I don't want u use a USB as they are too slow
I'm building a PC. Will the slot where i need to put it be on the case?
I figured that it went something like this but that is for the clarification
Do I have room for one of these with 2 Rx480s and an Asus z170a?
How did windows find and install drivers without being connected to the internet? Do you need to be connected by ethernet in order to install a wireless adapter?
If i bought one of these, would it enable me to connect wireless devices to my PC?
What's the difference between the 40 dollar cheapest version and the 2 more expensive versions? Should I spend the extra money?
hey carlos, what type of desktop do you have ??
I have an old computer that is using windows 8,can you recommend something for me?
What is the advantage in this method over simply using a usb adapter? Thanks.
This is way faster than USB and isn't limited to USB speeds. You'll get faster speeds plus you'll have an open USB port that isn't being used if you go the wifi card route and in my opinion it looks cleaner inside your PC than having a USB stick sticking out. :)
“That’s what she said” you’ve earned my subscription
Hola senor! How much did that wifi card cost? Are there better antennas that could be used? Gracias
Doesn’t the wireless thingy already come in the pc or do u have to order it
'that's what she said' hahaha wasn't expecting a line like that on a PC tutorial
thank you! Very thorough!
+Katie Howard Roos Your welcome!
wow, what a speedtest.. here in italy the connection is so shitty, i can get at least 7Mb while you're getting 94MB! hahaha great review tho
TheDooomy Haha thanks. I love fiber optic internet.
+TheDooomy My internet downloads at 150 Kb/s -_-
+Kyle Mackellar I get 5 mbps on speed test but downloads at only 500kbps.
I just got Optic Fiber the 11/16 and it's a week more or less that I'm testing it, and yes I fell in love hahaha this is awesome! I always get 85-90/20 MB and the contract is 100/20. A dream that came true.
TheDooomy Haha sei italiano xD io ho 1mb/s RIP
Make sure it's all the way in... That's what she said :D
Carlos what do you recommend for gaming ? is 300mbps sufficient? or 450bps
For me 300mbps is sufficient when I play BF4 but if you can afford to go higher go for it, it won't hurt you. #futureproof
Quick and simple, thanks! :)
👊
how do you have Windows 10? I thought this wouldn't release until the 29th of July?
Question? Will walls or anything in its way effect connection
What abou those usb dongles which give you wifi? Any opinion?
I'm looking for something to adapt my landline phone via Bluetooth at a decent price. Bluetooth adapter of some sort? any ideas?
LOVE YOUR " THATS WHAT SHE SAID JOKE LOL"
I LIKED BTW

Hi Carlo. Im moving into an apartment and they have built in wifi so I dont know what type their router or modern is, does that matter for using a wireless card for my pc?

That really doesn't matter as long as the router has wifi your okay. And using a USB adapter is way slower compared to this, the wifi card is the way to go!
....You should put the name in the title. It took me forever to find a high quality review of this adapter. Anyways, good review
Can you buy replacement antennas for wireless cards?
Differences between WiFi cards and Network adapters/cards?
When it comes to wireless cards, does more antenna mean better connection? I have one which is just a single antenna and its not catching internet very well. Its alright for normal tasks but when it comes to gaming, its really bad. Please help!
do i have to put the adapter as a hard ware on each computer or only to the master computer?
Thank you this really helped!
Can you use an internet adaptor instead of a card??
is this better than a little usb wifi thingy? will it provide faster more stable internet?
much better because of the connections, antennas etc...
Is there any big differences between PCIe and PCI wireless adapter in term of speed and stability during online game??
Great video btw, thanks😀
kurozaki07 I believe there both work with each other doesn't affect performance to much. Correct me if Im wrong though.
