Is it possible my machine doesn’t have a presser foot pressure adjuster? I have a Singer (9818C) and I can’t figure out how to adjust the pressure. My knit projects are constantly getting bunched up and ruined. :(
Just Saying, I have a Model 66 singer machine and my pressure knob is missing, I wonder if You would Point me in the right direction to find one, For as You Know it won’t sew without one, Any help would be appreciated, they might all have the same threads, the sites I have gone to give no reference to a pressure knob.
Any thoughts on why my 201ks pressure knob doesnt screw down fully?or is this normal thankyou
Thank you so much for inquiring! Our specialty is the Singer Featherweight 221 and 222, and occasionally we carry parts or can locate parts for particular models of vintage Singers, but in this case we would recommend contacting your local sewing machine technician for service and repair.
I got here because I wanted to see how one can remove the faceplate to change it for a different one. I’ve seen featherweights that come with striped faceplate and some with intricate patterned faceplate (I don’t know what it’s called lol). But my question is, can one replace a striped one to those patterned ones? Or are they not compatible with the shape of the machine?

@@featherweightshop I read this tutorial and have a question. My machine sits on a table and I am using it several times a week. Is it necessary to remove the pressure foot when not in use? I usually place a piece of fabric under the pressure foot, put the pressure foot down and put the needle in the down position. Is this correct or how should I store it between sewing projects? Thank you..
