Your video tutorials are so helpful
Thank you! So glad to hear that!
You could not make better videos ! White background and noting else in view for distractions just the machine and your hand. You have my full attention on what your are teaching us. You are amazing :)
Im really appreciating this series.
Thank you so so much 🦋
I am so glad to hear that! I am sure they are not perfect but I really enjoy sharing what I know. Thank you for the kind words!
I know I've said it before, but it absolutely bears mentioning again - this is great series and I'm loving it! This one is looks like that nose plate might have never been taken off. It's going to be so much fun to see the transformation when you put it all back together again. :-)
I know! So gross inside, I love it! Two at once is a little hectic to manage but it will be worth it in the end!
Nice collection of schmoo!
What fun would it be if there wasn't any schmoo though? This one is definitely pretty grungy!
Awesome vid! Thanks! Have a great weekend!
Thanks Jebb!
Well done!
Thank you!
This has been very helpful. However, it would be good to know how to put it all back. The spring mechanism was stuck in mine just like yours, but you don't show where it should be.
You are not alone in waiting, thank you for your patience with me! The reassembly will go much faster, thankfully! Hoping to have the next video out this week!
Help Jen Help! My 1936, 99 is totality stuck. Nothing is moving. At first I thought it was the main shaft but now I’m thinking that it might be the needle bar so I’m starting with the nose end of the machine. I’ve been putting the penetrating oil on it for a few days. The pressure bar is also stuck. Any other thoughts on how to get these two parts off? Or is it just a wait and see game?
I took the tension unit apart and noticed that both springs are stretched out of shape. Do I need to just go online to find these parts or are there other older machines that have the same kind of tension unit?
My last question is where do I find Zymol cleaning wax? I ordered it on Amazon twice and had to send it back because the cream wasn’t cream anymore. It came out of the bottle a watery lumpy mess. The wax was a bit dry but is useable.
Your videos are my number one place to go for repairing and restoring my old machines. To date I’ve worked on 7 machines and have finished 9 motors. A couple of machines are still waiting to be cleaned and put back together. I love working on them. You are right. It’s very relaxing. Thank you for doing this for us. Arleen
Hi! Without seeing the 99 it is hard for me to guess where it could be frozen. Have you put penetrating oil in all the places that the manual recommends? I would oil everywhere! As far as the Zymol, you may have to shake, shake, shake it when you get it. that has always worked for me. I am so glad that you are enjoying the videos, thank you so much for your kind words!
