0:00 - Introduction
01:09 - What are your thoughts on the UFO/ET sightings being demons?
17:01 - In The Shining, Dick Halloran the chef tells young Danny Torrance that the Shining gives people the ability to see the things from long ago and things that have not yet happened. With that being said is the ability to Shine in the movie & book the same thing as prophecy, extrasensory perception, intuition, empathy, precognition, and retrocognition?
12:10 - What are the historical ramifications if Abraham had never left Ur?
13:43 - Is it true that the Vatican has one of the best science labs in the world, and if so why and what is it used for? Thank you.
16:41 - Suppose an couple is engaged and is approaching the Church to be married. However, they are an unfortunate genetic match and have certainty that 100% of their children will perish in the womb. Would it be immoral for them to live as husband and wife? And does the Church have any legislation that would prevent them being married in the Church?
18:46 - Can a priest celebrate Mass if he has no arms?
22:42 - On May 31, 1985 I was baptized by the fire of the Holy Spirit from the crown of my head, through every cell in my body. See Luke 3:16 Do you think the fire of Purgatory is the same purifying fire I experienced? Meaning, do you think it’s the Holy Spirit that does the purging?
29:00 - How many times in one’s life can one vow “till death do us part?”
34:00 - If throughout the Bible angels (who are spiritual, non-corporeal beings) appear with enfleshed bodies as apparitions, could that be true for the Holy Spirit as well? Is it possible that those puzzling times in Scripture when people didn’t recognize Jesus it was because the Third Person of the Trinity was making an appearance? When Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene in the tomb (John 20:14-18), and to the two followers on the way to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35) and to the seven disciples fishing (John 21:1-14), is it possible that they didn’t recognize Him because they were not seeing God the Son at first, but God the Holy Spirit for a brief time? The One who they didn’t recognize consoled, comforted them, revealed truth to them, testified to them, convicted them, taught them, walked along side of them (parakletos), witnessed to them, brought things to their remembrance, and revealed and glorified the Lord to them…all the things Jesus promised the Advocate would do when He came (John 14:15-31, John 15:26-27 and John 16:5-16).
40:05 - If angel are non-corporeal beings, why do we gender them?
46:42 - How does one mistake a reconnaissance balloon as an alien space craft?
48:30 - Where was Jesus between the ages of 12 and 30?
50:54 - Let’s say that macro-PK is real. Where does the energy to move the objects come from? If there is a violation of the laws of thermodynamics, could the heat death of the universe be defeated by a sufficiently large, trained force of PKers?
I never met a priest without arms, but I do know of a blind priest and he has no issue celebrating Mass. There are other priests there if he needs assistance, but he rarely needs it. I met him when I came back into the Church in 2015 and I just gravitated toward him, he just exuded holiness. It was the year of Mercy and he ended up writing a prayer that was printed on cards and put in every pew of every parish in our Diocese. His name is Fr. Ezaki. He has some wonderful writings too. He taught me so very much.
Although I was born a Catholic, I had been lapsed for years, so during that time, I was very overwhelmed with all the learning and going through RCIA so I could be properly catechized before finally being Confirmed. Jimmy Akin was the first person I came across online. I will always be grateful. ❤
Welcome back home 🙏🏻✝️🌹
1am Jimmy Akin posts are the best 😎
Night Owl Gigachad. 😎👉🏻👉🏻
Makes me feel like I’m part of a Secret Info Club or something
One day, I'll call in to the ol' catholic answers. I think of questions regularly, and RadioShack isn't around anymore to answer them, but Jimmy Akin is.
I'm a huge fan of Jimmy Akin. Love his content.
I became Catholic at the 2024 Easter Vigil. I did two years of RCIA. I consider Mr. Akin to have been (and continue to be) a great resource in this process and my new life path.
His debate with Bart Ehrman (who I have read extensively and also admire) was a major life changer for me in the way I relate to scripture. I always loved the Bible. But I had a very strong anti-supernatural bias. I have a religious relationship to the Bible now.
I also love his content in Mysterious World. I look forward to every episode. So fun.
Welcome home!
Welcome home! We're happy you're here, God bless!
God bless you!
Julius Caesarion aka Jesus was away travelling from India to the British Isles.
@@user-hn1el1ck7c lmao what?
God bless you. Praying for God to protect you and guide you always
I've said this before but man Jimmy, even as a unbeliever I can't think of a more honest and sincere presenter on the entirety of UA-cam on religious matters. Top notch isnt a good enough word.
Very kind words. Thank you. Good luck on your spiritual journey. Many Catholics are happy to help if you ever have questions. God bless you sir
Love every Jimmy Akin video I come across. Thank you Jimmy!
Lord cover your lions with your precious blood in Jesus’s name. GBY
More power to your channel, Jimmy! 🙏
Glad to hear you respond to Hugh Ross' book on the subject of aliens vs demons argument.
Man I love that band on your hat
Thanks! Me, too!
I never got the chance to actually read any books on this subject so thank you so much for all the info. Also great job with Mysterious World! I love that show.
Thank you for the timestamps. I know they are time consuming to add but they are very helpful.
"The Shining" and Aquinas' discussion of "natural prophecy" made me think of my favorite episode of "The X-Files" called "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" (S3, E4). Peter Boyle rightfully won an Emmy for his magnificent portrayal of Bruckman, a depressed man who can foresee the manner of a person's death almost immediately after meeting them. This depresses him because he can't do anything to stop them from dying; he can only tell how they will die. He is, of course, a life insurance salesman who makes his pitches the old-fashioned way...in person. After watching the episode several times, I think Bruckman is gifted with an extreme intuition, meaning his mind can extrapolate the manner of a person's death using very little information. These tiny bits information are there in the person's appearance, manner, and surroundings, but Bruckman himself isn't consciously aware of them. I think there are real people with this gift of intuition, so Aquinas is right about "natural prophecy". Of interest, when Scully, eaten up with curiosity, asks Bruckman how she is going to die, he replies with a smile, "You don't." Fast forward to S6, E10 "Tithonus", Scully meets one Alfred Fellig, a hard-hearted crime scene photographer who is apparently more than 149 years old, virtually immortal. He tells Scully that Death took another person instead of him during a yellow fever outbreak 100 years earlier, and now he cannot die, no matter how long he waits, and no matter how hard he tries. He can tell when a person is about to die so he can photograph the moment of their death...he is chasing Death because he wants to look into Death's face so he can die, too. I'll stop there to avoid too much spoilage, but this episode explains why I believe Scully is immortal (hence Bruckman's natural prophecy that she will never die comes true). In my opinion, "The X-Files" contains some of the best story-telling ever written for TV. (Note that Scully is a Catholic who is usually skeptical about the paranormal, but in some episodes shows that, ironically, she does believe in divine miracles.)
Bruckman's referring to Mulder's death was upsetting but likely to the character at that point of his arc. Without spelling it out, I will just say "David Carradine"
Yeah, but the whole tenor of XF was that the world was about to end, the living would envy the dead, and so on. So immortality is not necessarily the correct answer.
An interesting caveat to this is that I read somewhere that Peter Boyle was in seminary to be a Catholic Priest before he decided to enter working in films. He may have had a predisposition to portray a spiritually endowed character especially well…??
@@MrDoyle07 He certainly was a monk in the Christian Brothers order
One of my favourite channels!
Well done as always
I just realized the light bulb above Cy's head, and wonder if this is accidental, or intentional... But either way, it is hilarious.
Splendid work
❤ These are really good shows! Thanks Jimmy! 👍👍👍🙏
Loved this! ❤️💙
Thanks Jimmy!
Love your content and charity jimmy! Legend!
✨️I've always wondered about this time frame. 🤔
Just love these weird question. Thanks.
Amazing!
Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich had some interesting insights on this phenomenon.
Came here to make the same comment lol.
Excellent
The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and Brahman Priests are on another level to the Christian/Jewish religions. It's like reading Religion's for Dummies.
Interesting video
Easy answer, he was grounded for wandering off without telling Mary and Joseph.
I gotta remember this one
That was cool!
Thanks.
God bless ❤
You’re the best
Not sure if one of the fellow fans of Jimmy can answer this, or the man himself, but has Jimmy ever debated Cliffe Knechtle? Has he discussed the possibility or his opinion on it? Just curious.
Wonder if you should go into the rabbit hole of jessie czebotar and her claims would be an excellent episode
Yay!
Interesting
I wonder how a bishop would be able to ordain a priest with no arms or hands? Since the bishop anoints the hands of the man being ordained, and prosthetic limbs have to be replaced, or parts swapped out periodically.

The only reliable source of what’s being asked here is the Blessed Mother, how we wish she have told John and John like his books written it.
Or Luke. But it seems like Luke kept it to himself. 🤷🏼♂️
@@MeanBeanComedy Those people didn't really write the Gospels.
7:09 Is the question about The Shining. Chapter timestamp is incorrect
He loves the music 😂
Why couldn't Jesus be IDed at resurrection? Is there real info on how He dressed & looked. Maybe simple matter of a hair cut & shave, & different attire made him look different. He was a refreshed new Man.
The years of Jesus were revealed just as Jesus wanted them to be.
Carholic youtube is crying out to heaven for a Jimmy Akin/Michael Dimond debate on the UFO/demon question.
🙏🏻👍🤝
Pillar of fire Henry Ossawa Tanner?
Hello all
Where is Jesus between the ages of 12 to 30? The answer is simple, "Khinukh". Then what is Khinukh? Khinukh was a traditional Jews religious school (Pirkei Avot 5.21) :
1. Miqra : 5 years old
2. Mishnah : 10 years old
3. Mitsvot : 13 years old
4. Talmud : 15 years old
5. Midrash : 20 years old
After attending Beit Midrash, Jesus got His "licentiate" to teach the congegration as rabbi when He reach the age of 30. Thats why Jesus only appear publicly when He was 30 in age. This is what the Rabbinic Judaism say as the stage of "lakoakh", people are in the stage of maturity in intelligence.
The people who wrote the tales probably just had writers block.

Special funding from the wise men to go to Egypt 😂..😮...🤯
what happened to muhammad after his chest open and give knowledge by jibreel...? muhammad know the holyness presence of jibrell when jibreel opened his chest...but he doesnt know who is following him from hira cave... muslims alwayd making unnecessary claims but never answer if we ask them
The answer given on the Lost years of Jesus is dead wrong.
So what are your thoughts 💭 on the list years?
@@delizzadavila3657 Jesus at the age of 13 was given the support of Mother Mary to travel along the Silk road East towards Tibet and India. He travelled with merchants and their caravans. There are records of ISSA ( Jesus) In the Tibetan monastery. Jesus studied Eastern philosophy. His teachers were Yogis ( the three Wise Men in the Bible were actually Yogis from India) they were given visions of the birth of Jesus and to train him in life. At the age of 29 Jesus returned home and began to teach The Christ Consciousness which has nothing to do with religion. Not sure why the church ignored this important chapter of his life. He returned to India after the Crucifixion event and his Body now rest in Kashmir ( Rozabal Shrine). 🙏
@syan625 Jesus and the Buddha mirrored one another in teachings. China dint build the Great Wall and more than one person built an Ark during the time of Noah. All labelled conspiracy theories. Interesting isn't it? 😉
@syan625 there are two bodies buried beneath the tomb one was an Islamic holy man the other his body was laid facing in the direction consistent with Jewish tradition. Carving of his feet with wounds if placed on top of another suggests a single long nail was driven through both. Another conspiracy theory to you I guess.
@syan625 the Vatican loves people like you. They got you quoting Romans Scriptures in fact . The same Romans who've enslaved an entire continent, crucified those they feel are radicals and fed Christians to lions and tigers from India because they can. Yep, they love Christians ... 😆
The brevity of the record concerning the early years is because Jesus had not yet been anointed by God as “the Christ” (Matthew 16:16) and had not commenced carrying out the divine assignment awaiting him. His childhood and the growing up process, like his birth were necessary, though incidental, means to an end. As Jesus later stated to Roman Governor Pilate: “For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.” (John 18:37)
Jesus was called not only “the carpenter’s son” (Matthew 13:55) but “THE CARPENTER” as well. (Mark 6:3) Since the Hebrew father usually taught his son his trade, Jesus no doubt learned carpentry from his adoptive father Joseph. And if Joseph died by the time Jesus was in his teens, he had to support his family. So he didn’t go to India or Tibet, he was working as a carpenter!
Not only because Jesus’ family was poor, but under the Mosaic Law a woman remained ceremonially unclean for a set length of time after giving birth. Once the time had elapsed, a burnt offering and a SIN offering were made for her. (Leviticus 12:1-8) So if Mary were truly sinless, there would be no need to offer the sin offering, would there? Offering it when she really was sinless would be a SIN!!
Sorry Jimmy I love your stuff. But this one is meant to be left alone, its a mystery for a reason.
It is funny Akin calls out Daniel O'Connor out without giving ANY specific reasons why he is wrong. This Akin argues like a Democrat. We Catholics need to be careful with RINO type Catholics invading and watering down our religion.
