I think it's such a lovely combination to see you two together. Mr. Man who focuses on the instrumental aspect and the lyrics to decipher a pictures of melodicality and lyrical rethoric, and then Mrs. Woman who focuseson emotional vibes. Together you're both feeling the specters of what's being portrayed and enjoying music together. Love it!
A pretty tidy track. There's a familiarity about it. I hear the Queen and Pink Floyd (Dark side of the moon album) influences in there for sure. Interesting and worth exploring some more.
Love the back and forth “Beatles.” “Queen” “uh huh”. Yeah prog at its finest. I respect The Dear Hunter as one of my top 5 best bands ever. Casey is crazy.
Shame not part of The Acts. Lillian is my fav song not part of them. Not sure if I can give favorite that is on The Acts tho, all solid and been listening to them over a decade. The Procession and Black Sandy Beaches are my favs from their second album.
So the Dear Hunter is the best, most replayable artist since I got into it. The Act Albums 1-5 are all a concept story telling of the life of a boy from beginning to end, set during the turn of the 19th century. It involves Pimps, Priests, Prosititues, WW1, innocence and bad decisions. The band has a very wide scope of sound, alot of the characters and locations in the story have audible motifs attached to them. I would recommend "A Night on the Town', or 'Regress + The Moon/Awake'. If you like that, then check out the albums with lyrics.
I love knowing that people are spreading my favorite band. The first time I saw them was Halloween in 2008 In CT such a great show. Still got pics saved from it haha. But yeah great song though id reccomended checking out acts 1-3, the color spectrum and migrant. It's definitely the keeping secrets of TDH burning star 4 😅😅😅😂😂
@@neighborsue lol just so you know I suggested albums hahaha but they are worth diving into from front to back. The album migrant is one where you don't have to start from the Intro but they are a prog band so in the acts one song turns into another seamlessly so it's best to start from the beginning haha ❤️❤️

I can imagine this played in a 'Rock Opera', 'Musical Theatre' type setting. For me it has that sort of gravitas!!
I felt that!
It does have that feel Pete. I can hear some Queen influence, a little Pink Floyd in there as well.

Great band. I’m happy they landed on our plate. Looking forward to getting to know their music better
Honestly react to entire albums from TDH. Insanely talented bunch.
Getting back to more from them soon.

Wow! Thats amazing - Great concept. I really liked what I’ve heard from them so far and this insight levels them up for me. Thank you for sharing. ✌️
Storytelling is super strong
TDH has dropped some of the hardest lyrics I’ve heard. Personal favorite is bitter suite iv and v
They’re a very special band. 😂 Try The Tank, Mustard Gas, or He Said He Had A Story. I guarantee goosebumps.
You had me at goosebumps!!!
Thanks for these suggestions
