I've been under the assumption that's how it worked, that you do what needs doing and perhaps apply your own skills to better the place. Watching Selmar gave me hope that it's possible to leave a lasting mark on something historic and bigger than ourselves. Volunteering at Lalande is pretty much all I've talked about since March.

Speaking as a Vet Tech., the cat will need an oral antibiotic. Cat's are very suseptable to infection, from even the most minor of wounds. Feline antibioics are just pennies. Better safe than sorry! Poor babe.x

Keep dancing with him and he is a great teacher. Fun times with the dressing up for all occasions and various eras. I know all of you enjoy parties like this and the time you can dance and have fun together. Selmar can teach the steps a bit and then all of your dancing and enjoy the times in the evenings is such fun to see al lof you doing. Nice break up of the time, after working so hard.
Selmar is not going to leave he is needed and he can be the Prince even? Yoru brother when he comes and Selmar as Prince and you Princess and your mom Queen ( Or the Queens mother??) and we could use even a Duke and Duchess? Micheal should be Prince too when he is there too?
But keep Selmar. Everyone likes him and sees so much personality and just feel he fits right in!.

Just a little observation- Ruby the cat is a full fledged Tom cat in need of being neutered so as to prevent more stray kittens in need of homes, and fewer cuts and gashes from his territory battles. It would do him a great service to get him to a vet for a snip snip. He will thank you for it.

He did such beautiful decorating in the various bedrooms and the laundry room has such beauty for such a hard-working space, especially in comparison to the way it was before he redid it. for a quick dried tomato, choose any of your favorite variety---i like the small sweet 100's or the teardrop salad tomatoes. prepare by halving. place on a well greased half/whole sheet pan. sprinkle liberally w/ good evoo, sprinkle w/ sea salt, good ground black pepper, white granulated sugar, a bit of cinnamon, dried thyme, dried dill, and powdered cardamon. you may change these dried herbs as/ your taste. place i a preheated oven (300 F) uncovered for 2 1/2 hours. stir them about every 45 minutes. if they are full of moisture, it will take more time. just turn down to (300 F), until you get them to a wrinkled appearance, and they have a chew to them. allow to cool, and place them in a glass jar, being sure to save oil, liquids, and seasonings for jar. add a bit of red wine, red wine vinegar (1 Tblspn+), or (1-1/2 Tblspn's balsalmic vinegar (I love the balsalmic). it is important to add the vinegar, as the olive oil will need to be tempered by it. vinegar will keep out anaerobic growth and the olive oil from becoming rancid, if not refrigerated. i prepare to or three flats at one time for my catering business, as it is cost effective, saves on loss, and wonderfully fresh-tasting and vibrant in stews, sauces, and on salads. if i use whole cherry tomatoes, i put them atop of blanched, salted, peppered asparagus, cippolini onions, and cornichons. i call the presentation jeweled asparagus, for the presentation can be done in the form of a starburst or a crown. i usually use a silver salver, baccarat round server, or spode in blue. it can be very beautiful and very tasty. this use of tomatoes allows one to use them immediately or save them in the pantry. i also like the recipe because i live in a seasonal region of the States, and i have to rely on tomatoes from mexico, california, and florida. this method is a way of getting a deep, deep tomato flavor any time of year. i hope you will try it, if you haven't. bon appetite.

I freeze bread in plastic bags, many of them , I bake my own to. To use them will take only 30 min out of freezer or wrap in aluminium foil and in to oven for 20min to make fresh baked again. =)

With tears in my eyes I watched yet another wonderful volunteer bid farewell to Lalande ... but they were not sad tears because when one wonderful person leaves, it opens the door for the next wonderful volunteer to come in....😭😭😭😭🌹❤️❤️❤️😁😁😁😁. Stephanie has breathed new energy and new life into The Chateau de Lalande..., and her family and friends and volunteers truly are the beating heart of the Chateau 💜🧡💛🙏🏻💙🌍☮️🌍💜

Lovely video, and I've always let the ads play, however UA-cam has been adding mid-roll ads and this time it must have interrupted the video around 8 times. Is it just me or were there a lot? I definitely want to support Lalande. Thought I'd just mention it as some creators want to know what UA-cam is doing with ads during the video.

it wasn't just you, there were double ads every 3 minutes, about 10 times... it was too much.

Hmm, ok. I let the first one go but the second set followed up soon after and my husband gave me a look. As it's our watch Lalande time, I sadly skipped the rest. I will go back later and watch it again, if it helps. I felt so bad. But I've always allowed the pre-video or post-vid ads if there are any.

Selmar once again showing such talent. Each person brings something to the table as we say and leaves with the knowledge that they were part of the restoration of Lalande. So sad to see Tomaz go, but he leaves his mark to no matter how small or large. :)

Although many of my favorite people are leaving Le Chateau I know they’re pursuing something intended for them and wish them all the best and lots of love. The joyful dancing and singing in the kitchen dance floor is such a great way to end the night on a high note. Celebrating the intimacy of community, friendship, and creativity. It’s inspiring. Hopefully we see everyone once again! Thank you for yet another amazing vlog, Stephanie! ~ Maxximo Morabito

A trick with Tomatoes I learn (through poor planning) if you freeze them (in Ziploc or such bags). When you let them half thaw out It is the water that thaws first which you can poor off. Than what is left is the body and the flavour and you have to boil it down less for sauces.

There are marble sealers that can be applied, which protect the marble. ☺️

I had pulled away from watching my subscribed videos, not realizing that things here had pulled me down more than I had realized. Not just being away from family due to the virus, but the darkness of our times, with politics, the racism and the brutality of some. Then watching the girls in their post clean up, kitchen dance party, I had to hold back the tears. Thank you, all.

How? How do you do it? Every time I watch a vlog from the Chateau I end up with a huge smile on my face and feeling even more like a part of your beautiful party of friends, family and guests. I just decided I need more margaritas in my life. I love the fact that Selmar sees some job that needs doing, like a header over a shower, and turns it into a lovely work of art. He is so artistic and talented. Tomaz added so many touches to the Chateau during his stay and then to compose a piece of music at the end was just the icing on the proverbial cake. It's almost like the lands and buildings of the chateau bring out some magical, mystical talents among those who show up on it's doorstep. Thank you yet again for making my life happier.
