Ok...very convincing video. This caused me to order 2 of these. One for now and one just in case they quit making them. I will wear this watch until the day I die!😎
(Hello K M firstly I must apologize for not responding sooner, Ive been troubled with health issues). They've been around for quite some time now in various incarnations, mostly in the professional 'destro case' left had drive models.
Mixed gas diving applications, they also made a '300m' Titanium model which has been discontinued and is very rare to get hold of.
They make a 1000 meter super pro diver version in 2 incarnations one that looks like this model and the new one that's been on the market for approximately for 'around' 8 months.
Its a statement piece and 'most' top decent divers rate the watch as very effective for the money. The chap on the famous net auction web site is 'yourbandstand' who sells the converters and the additional straps to vary the timepieces effectiveness and professionalism.
You can buy the screw down NATO strap ring converter from him or the end connectors that take his milenese strap and 'oyster look' bracelet style conversion.
A polyurethane replacement strap for the AD is 'around' the $60 point.

@@averyprivategentleman just bought the Titanium model and the Autozilla 1000m version. They should be here next week. I got lucky enough to find a collector who was willing to part with them. Had to pay a Premium but it is only money right? Thanks again for the Inspiration!
@@woodentulike2no OMG oh wow well done to you ! That's a serious collection in pieces of kit you have there. There were (2) in the range in the 1000m, the mark 1 model which ran up to around 4 years ago and the new mark 2 model which I thinks has been around for about 10 months. These are serious tool watches used by deep sea salvage experts and our chaps in the north sea. To be truthful the sea dweller and deep-sea (from the 'you know who' brand) are never used in real life conditions mainly due to pro divers not liking to take watches deep down with precious metal in them...I take my hat off to you chum 'very well' done...Hope and wishes to you Anthony AVPG. 🌈🏳🌈🏳🌈

I've been getting in some training for this watch by wearing the BN0085-01E 300m eco-drive.
Now that I've stopped banging that one into every door frame I walk through, I feel ready to step up to the "Zilla".
In all seriousness, I love the look of this watch and I'm looking forward to owning one.
My current Promaster is accurate to 5 seconds per year - absolutely remarkable for a watch that cost me £180.
Hi Greetings The BN0085-01E is up there but I'd say not quite at this level. Citizen have brought out new variants this year of the 'MEG'. 8050, For me it puts Seiko in the shade IMHO.

The BN0085-01E I own is the black band version, with black radial etched dial.
It's my first ever Citizen (indeed first solar) and I've been very impressed.
Liking the look of green eco-zilla also the blue/yellow. I'll keep an eye on the prices over the coming months.

Hello John and thank you for the comment input....Yes this year Citizen have certainly knocked this one into orbit with a number of new models based on a similar system and case unit....There's a blue, green and black PVD style models on the radar....I'm drafting a script to do a sequel showing the new mods coming out....Very exciting indeed, its placed me firmly in the 'Citizen' v Seiko camp....This is truly a great watch, possibly the best you can get for the money....Hopes and wishes to you Anthony (AVPG).

The Citizen Eco-Drive watch is so cool. The original rubber strap can be replaced, and the 24mm lug adapter can be used to match the 24mm metal strap, which is more comfortable and beautiful to wear.🤣🤣

@@averyprivategentleman I remember seeing Ice Station Zebra and Where Eagles Dare at the movies back then. I read pretty much all his books, which I still have. That was when movies were fun.
