The Orca definitely does it for me. Both are cool watches, with a unique, chunky, funky vibe. The Orca has an extra something special about it.
The Orca is definitely more wearable on a daily basis. It is better looking and more refined as well.
Orca for the win. That blue is awesome.
I really like the blue, and how it appears to change colors on the bezel.
Ecozilla is still one of the best hardcore dive watches ever made..tough as tank and reliable..!!
I totally agree with you there. A good watch for the zombie apocalypse.
The Orca doesn't stay far behind in capability and durability to. Citizen makes some of the best watches in the world
Didnt know the Orca features on the strap! Thanks. Orca is more realistic for daily use, but the Zilla is so awesome looking. Id need both
I am glad that you enjoyed the video. Yea, the eco-zilla is not practical at all, but it sure is a fun watch.
Cool watches! Quality, affordable and fun.
I totally agree with you there
The strap goes halfway up the case so you don’t notice the thickness. There are no lugs so you have a 6 1/2 inch wrist and you can literally wear a true monster and it looks OK. The Japanese are geniuses.
😀
That is a good point, thanks for sharing. I do still have the watch in my collection, and for the price, I don't really plan to ever sell it. Just such a ridiculous watch, so it is fun to wear a few times a year.
Both great watches
I agree.
Cool eco-drive watches
I think so too
Its so hard to choose between them. Thanks for reviewing them!
Thanks for watching. I still own the Eco-zilla.
Its one hell of a watch!
I like the orca bezel something different than the normal Citizen Eco-Drive are awesome 👌
I totally agree
I had the ecozilla and found it too big on my 7inch wrist. It’s also really heavy and the strap tended to pull on my wrist hairs. Shame as lovely watch.
I think you would need a wrist the size of Shaq for it to properly fit.
Ecozilla for me
It is more fun, but the Orca is a little more practical.
I like the orca a lot but the band is too long for everyday wear - and how would you replace it? They should have provided two bands - one for everyday wear and one for diving. I'm fascinated by how the design is inspired by the orca's body, they really did a wonderfully creative design there.
That is a great point about including two straps. The eco-zilla comes with a strap extender for diving, they could have done something similar with the Orca as well, or like you suggested throw in a smaller strap.
How long is the strap ? @@WrongTimeWatch
You didn't mention the blue Orca is also available on a bracelet with divers extension. I have one on the way. I can't do plastic, rubber, Silicone, cloth. Etc.
Thanks for sharing that. I did not know.
I thought that might be a problem but actually as long as you can live with a tiny strap tail the second keeper works really well even in my 6” wrist. 😉
I like the Ecozilla except for the crown at the 9 o'clock.
Yea, I end up putting the watch on upside down half the time due to that crown. I am not totally sure why they did that. I would guess to keep the crown off the back of your hand.
For £329.00 the Citizen Promaster Orca is a great value watch, with usual Citizen refinements but I prefer day/date on most if not all of my watches because "Why Not?" The capability is always always there, they just have to drop in a higher caliber! So even though I am attracted to the Orca, the lack of the "Day" complication means I'll be giving this a miss.
That is interesting way to look at the day date complication. Both of my first automatic watches have the day date complication, but now I prefer time only watches. It is funny how things change over the years.
@@WrongTimeWatch Thanks for reply, I also own minimalistic watches and I like them but imho the Orca needs day-date. Its a great watch, just not for me but wanted to comment on it. Good video, good camera work and narration, keep it up Bro!
@@TheGeezzer Thank you, I appreciate that.
If one isn’t able to tell the doctor what day of the week it is, the doctor may have to recommend a neuro workup.
I have 2 Ecozillas and can’t decide if I should get the black Orca.
Tough call there. It is a fun watch, but probably not something I would wear on a daily basis. More of a fun weekend watch for me.
@@WrongTimeWatch I wear my Ecozilla quite often. I really like the look of it. It’s also very easy to read. I’m not a fan of dive watches with super busy dials. My BN2038-01L is as busy as I prefer.
I do like the ecozilla, but the small dial compared to the size of the watch is a little strange.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
Have you thought about adapters for the ecozilla?
I bought this one used and it came with adapters. I took them off and put the watch back on the factory strap. I need to put it back on the adapters and try it out. First impressions, I am not a fan.
@@WrongTimeWatchI never wore mine until I bought the adaptors.
The supplied rubber was so uncomfortable, I now alternate between a sharkmesh, and rubber.
The black one looks better.
They both put a smile on my face
I have a orca model! And I need a new bracelet but citizen Europe they say that they don't produce bracelets for that model anymore. Is it possible to find in the United States?
I have not seen it on a bracelet before, only the silicone strap. Are you looking for a strap? Contact Saltzmans watches and see if the can source one for you. saltzmans-watches.com/contact-us/
Ok I'll check it for sure!!
Thank you very much. 👍🏻✌🏼
An
Thanks for watching.
👀
Thanks for watching
I definitely prefer the Orca because its dimensions are perfect for me and it's one of the coolest and most different looking watches.
I actually really like the Ecozilla's look, if they managed to make the Ecozilla thinner I'd be all over it
My favorite dive watch (to actually dive with) is the Tuna 600m, I've dived with it in many places, incredibly capable watch, but then I found out the dimensions of the 300m version actually fits me better
The Seiko Tuna is a great watch. It is of large diameter, but it wears small on wrist due to the short lugs. The ecozilla is just comically large, it is a fun watch to wear. The Orca is nice as well, but the styling is not for me.
Ecozilla for me
I really enjoy mine
@@WrongTimeWatch Just got mine delivered yesterday, i think its been in storage a while as it is completely comatose, got it charging on my window sill hopefully it will spring into life soon🤔
