You scratched the watch when you pulled the callipers away while measuring the diameter. You could hear it. You made sure to open them after measuring the depth.
Wearing it on the street on weekdays is quite ridiculous. But even for professional diving you don't need such a big watch (the dive computer is there for that). Many 3000,5000 meter water and pressure resistant watches are much smaller than this. It's huge, but only because of the case. Its dial, on the other hand, is that of an average diver's watch.
great review this watch is amazing but the locking system is operating upon a spring to lock and unlock..may this spring got weakened by continuous operation ? and the locking ring will be loosy then...? also shall the black colour (DLC coating) of the locking bezel ring fade by time and when scratched shows the colour of the steel under it?
Grande orologio,presto sarà uno dei miei prossimi acquisti. Mi chiedevo però una cosa : È molto diverso questo modello rispetto alla prima versione del Citizen Acqualand 1000m . Se non erro,la prima versione aveva ad ore 3,la corona di regolazione,mentre ad ore 8-10,2 pulsanti per vari funzioni,ad ore 9 il profondimetro e a ore 11la valvola di sfiato dell’elio. Questo invece indica solo tempo,mi sbaglio ?

Of course not, professional divers are using diving computers anyway. But it is worth mentioning that depth indication on the watches doesn't indicate depth suitable for that specific watch. For instance, watch rated for 100 m water resistance is suitable only for swimming and breath diving to couple meters depth, nowhere nearly 100 meter depth. While moving watch during diving, pressure exerted on the watch is always bigger then pressure at specific depth.

The FREE-LOCK mechanism for the CITIZEN bezel is an excellent innovation. How foolish and pathetic are the designers of the Omega ploprof. The bezel lock is too irrational and impractical. Imagine a push button!
Gloves are used to prevent leaving oily fingerprint marks on the watches. By using gloves when presenting watches to potential customers, watchmakers don't need to clean every watch presented, thoroughly after the presentation, and risks leaving sweat marks on the watch that could later develop into discoloration. It is probably not necessary for video presentation like this, because it is single watch, and it would not be problem to clean one watch after recording, but I guess it looks more professional like this.
@@max5250 When I visit a watchshop and ask to see one or more watches I always touch the watch without gloves, because I want know how the material of the band and the case feels, also I put the watch on my wrist, to see how it fits. If a dealer says I'm not allowed to touch the watch (no one ever did so) I wish him a nice day and leave. To clean a watch from fingerprints is done in one minute, that should not be a problem for watchsalers. And... if the material of a watch cant stand a little sweat its crap.

It's not going to scratch with calipers. I've banged it hard on many surfaces in the last five years and it looks like new.
