Hello Leah, Can you please disclose that you have to make sure you take in account that your quilt space is reduced because of the knobs that raise and lower the back rails extend into your quilting area. I just put my first quilt on my frame and never saw those knobs extending in my quilt space and it really messed up my boarders. It would have adjusted my quilt top accordingly had I known those knobs where there.😣So many of us depend on your videos to learn how to use the frame and you do a fantastic job with all your videos! It’s a little thing but it can prevent a lot of us newbies from making that mistake. Kim😊
Did you find a way to attach leader cloth to this frame? I saw your continuum frame videos, there you're using velcro that's glued to the rail, and then leader cloth gets attached to the velcro and you use red snappers to attach backing. I'm trying to figure out differences between evolution hoop in rail mode (and potentially longer setup) vs qzone queen size. So far I think for this floating mode, where only the backing is under tension, qzone queen seems to work in the same way as continuum ii, but I can't quite grasp the difference between them and evolution type of frames how they work exactly. Any thoughts on that would be helpful :)
When you're using the Evolution Hoop, the frame comes with Hoop leader cloth only. I've played with attaching short leaders for rolling rail mode and found the easiest method was with masking tape. I tried magnets, velcro, etc, and found masking tape really did work the best. You can skip the leaders and just cut longer backing fabric too. The Evolution Hoop is probably confusing you because it's able to load both ways. The Continuum II, Q-Zone Queen, and Evolution Elite are all the same style of frame - rolling rail - so using the frame, loading it, advancing, all those steps will be the same with these frames. The main difference is the size of the rails, durability of the build, and ability to upgrade with additional rails like an Idler Rail which makes every advance and load faster.
can you leave the roll up wheel on when using the frame for a hoop frame or do you have to take off the wheel each time you want to change back to the hoop frame?
You do need to remove the handwheel when hooping a big quilt because it may snag the quilt if you are needing to shift side to side. But... no, I haven't change the rail end cap since I switched it to Rolling Rail. I lock the rail when hooping and remove the hand wheel, then reattach it if I need it when using it as a rolling rail frame.
Yes, but it still requires stopping, attaching the leader, pinning to the backing fabric, etc. Bit of a pain and it could have been avoided by simply cutting more fabric.

Would love to see a video for evolution 3 rail system Non floating. I have the 12 foot evolution
You can find a tutorial on 3 rail Rolling Rail style loading here - leahday.com/blogs/machinequilting/continuum-loading

@@LeahDay thank you
Can you just add a leader at the end?
Yes, but it still requires stopping, attaching the leader, pinning to the backing fabric, etc. Bit of a pain and it could have been avoided by simply cutting more fabric.
Thank you for all the tips.
Not following the instructions. You're such a rebel 😂
Yeah and I ended up paying for it later, too! LOL!
