Amazing! We are lucky enough to have Lyubo teach us on Sundays, he is a true genius!
Excellent tutorial. Probably a choke that everyone who practices BJJ, MMA, Submission wrestling has had to deal with at one point or another. Great counters and important details in directions to go and necessary awareness. Also love videos from this pair. I have really been enjoying you posting more MMA and BJJ videos. Thanks Stuart keep up the great channel.
Whenever I am searching for wrestling principals to adapt to my bjj I look no further then your videos. Keep up the great work!
this guy is awesome, also try looking up catch wrestling, all kinds of interesting tricks
@@hatebreed516 this guy is awesome!
No need to watch catch wrestling. Those guys are far behind bjj nowadays.
@@hatebreed516former catch wrestling here, no need for catch if you follow his instructions.
The way Lyobo moves, you can tell he's a wrestler through and through. Such smooth motion.
10:00 I used to strangle bjj players with this Shoulder Crush in 1990s/early 2000s because I didn't know how to pass guard. Brings back memories.
I think partly it worked well since most bjj players back then had no idea of the top pressure a wrestler can put on you.
gems of knowledge
Absolutely amazing videos!! Thank you so much for making them. Helping my game tremendously. Warrior Collective!!

hello! when you showed the first escape at 8:15, he didn't have you in an arm-in guillotine. later when he tried the escape at 10:49, it was an arm-in guillotine. is the escape suppose to work regardless of if the arm is in or not? thanks!
So Good guys! Than youu! Oss

Are there any good ways to avoid the guillotine after the shoot in the first place?
Shoot with good posture; the hips lead, not your head or hands. When you make contact, you should be looking at his chest, not his legs.
Honken thanks, is putting your head inside, like on a single leg, more effective at avoiding guillotines than head outside like a double or high crotch? I've tried both and don't really notice a difference.
No problem! Theoretically, given that your posture is good, head on the inside should be safer as you're posting your head on his chest, making it hard(er) for him to bend you forward and expose your neck. However it should be fine either way with good posture. Remember, the goal is to lift him up or run around him, not to push him backwards. It's the "I'm going to run him down with a double leg"-mindset that often leads to bad habits like reaching forward with the hands before making contact, leading with the head, bending over etc. Stand normally, lower your level without leaning forward, shoot your hips forward and take a penetrating step through his legs and behind him, slam your chest/belly/hips into him, wrap your wrists around the back of his knees, circle around him and tip him over or lift him up and slam him.
Is this what passes for BJJ these days? Most of these would rarely work with active resistance and a moderately athletic oponent. This is almost a scam.
Thanks you
