the coolest thing about this opening is that is meant to be watched on a portable monitor.

Very good point, but you would be missing things like animated cutscenes for the FemMC or the Answer w/ the changes that the gender swap would've imposed.

@@BictorBedeFan I always saw that as more of a reminder of your mortality than a foreshadowing of MC’s death tbh. From the opening, I was able to tell that the game had themes of death established, but even then, I didn’t expect him to go Door-kun on me.

So.... I never played any of persona games, but Persona 5 trailed made me dig into this series. Just got P3P on my old PSP and... it's AWESOME! I played already about 12h and well... I fall in love with Mitsuru. I already ordered Persona 4 Golden to my PSVita and I will buy Persona 5 for sure too on PS4!
yup, the Persona games are really awesome, and P4: Golden is definitely something you should not miss, especially if you already have a PS Vita.

CELLplays yeah, in “Persona x Detective Naoto”, a non canon novel sequel to Persona 4. His name was Sousei and he had Tuskuyomi/Tsukiyomi as his Persona (its decidedly different from Sho’s, and this was made before P4U was even a thing)

I think it's more that he always existed but was just in the background in all the canon games. In P4 Arena Ultimax it seems that he's never gone outside of the Velvet Room which would mean that either the FeMC never did those side quests or he never met her.

Carlos Cordova Well, wh as t do you know? PQ2 will focus on the P5 cast *and* Minako because after being locked in Atlus' dungeon for some time, she's finally free and will join the P5 cast along with the crews of P3 and P4.
If you watch it upside down it's from Femc's perspective and also has a bunch of spoilery stuff you won't notice unless you know what they are.
I like both protagonists. What I do find creepy is that Minako has red eyes but whatever. She is better looking than Minato though in fashion sense and overall ness, but I do like Minatos haircut.

This video is old, but I’ll still leave the comment, there is a moment on 0:59, where they cross each other on the escalator, Minato notices her and turns his head and his eyes start to have some kind of shine to them, as if he saw someone he knew long ago, of course it’s just a theory that they’re twins but god, this level of detail is beautiful.
Since they are the same person makoto gets this "feeling" that he knows her from somewhere

It's funny reading through the comments and everyone refers to the male character as Minato when Atlus has gone out of their way to say his canon name is Makoto. They probably wouldn't have mentioned it if it weren't for the P3 movies.

DeathgGod I always found that strange. I'm sure people were calling Yu the manga name (Souji Seta) until the anime came out. Now that Atlus has the Persona 3 movies out and named him Makoto Yuki only a few fans actually call him Makoto.

The developers actually wanted to allow you to explore the world in the game, however a terrible earthquake happened (forgot what year) and they realized they wanted to keep the game close to home and used real Japanese locations to emphasize this

The worst thing they done with P3P is that they removed walking around the school with the character and replaced it with a cursor.
I remember picking up P3P and when I realised I was using a Cursor for school and Pawlonia mall, I became abit disappointed.
Sucks but the PSP probably couldn't handle the actual walking around.
Dazardz That's weird because it was during the era when GodEater was also widely popular, they could manage a full port if they wanted to...... maybe FeMC took too much if they indeed outfitted animations instead of the cursor.

well... a full dual layered UMD is 1.8 gigs. p3p using a single layer. and p3 is over 2 gigs. compressing maybe would have worked, but in exchange for REALLY crappy load times. and thats AFTER dropping the answer.

After 10 years, Zelda WindWaker has lost it's place as my favorite game of all time. And I don't see how anything will top this for me. Really, this is at a totally different level for me than anything else I've ever played or even over any movie or story I've known.

Thank you for this video. Some of the major changes I love about most in P3P (and I'm playing it as we speak.) compared to the original PS2 and FES are the following: 1. The character of SHINJIRO ARAGAKI gets to survive in the game but only if you play as the female protagonist and max out his social rank. That somehow redeems the game's reputation of being tragic based on other reviews in a small way despite that the hero/heroine are still implied that they died at the end of the game. 2. Yes, FULL CONTROL OVER ALL YOUR MAIN CHARACTERS DURING BATTLES. That was a star change in my opinion. Apparently many of the improvements in the original P4 from the PS2 were adapted in P3P. 3. THE USE OF SKILL CARDS AND STAT CARDS in order to assign moves to any persona you want and max out their stats. This definitely beats fusing consistently hoping your persona gets the move that you want and battling often to level up. 4. CROSSOVERS FROM P4: Although we were only shown the younger versions of CHIE SATONAKA and YUKIKO AMAGI plus having to spend time in the Inaba Bath House does make a new and exciting addition. MARGARET as a secret boss near the end of the game needs to be added too. 5. The chance for all male members of SEES to go on a date with the female protagonist whilst upping their social links was a great idea. You get to know them inside out. (I never realised that JUNPEI IORI had an alcoholic and abusive dad.....) 6. And finally - NEW GAME PLUS. Which allows you to keep most of your stats and accumulated items and choose who will be with you in your Final Moments at the end of the game aside from the default Aigis. (Disappointingly, if male you choose between either of the female SEES members and vice-versa. Sorry for my personal reaction but as a gay man I really do wish that ATLUS should be more open to LGBT relationships in this day and age.) Personally I find the male protagonist really cute! My only and ONLY disappointment to reiterate is basically how the social link system works. Apparently ATLUS still prefers to keep the traditional man-woman relationship which in of itself is fine. But LGBT's like me will definitely relate and fall in love with the game even more if there is more openess to that; like the female protagonist getting to choose THEODORE or ELIZABETH as her dating partner, whereas the male protagonist only gets ELIZABETH. Really sorry for going way out of topic here but come on - a little diversity wouldn't hurt. I had to go resort to using a cwcheat to make my male protagonist go on a date with THEODORE; and I was hoping that KENJI TOMOCHIKA from the magician arcana would end up falling in love with the male protagonist once his link was maxed, but oh well..... All in all this is definitely one of the classics the RPG world has to offer. I wish ATLUS would release a 10TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL of the game either thru the PSP VITA or PS4. Thanks for reading!

Each Persona series captivates with its own niche yet retaining enough individuality to be distinct each entry. And it does it by delivering a consistently engaging experience each time.
Atlus deserves every heartfelt salute from everyone.
