I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone bring up the part at 1:36 For those who don't know, Persona 3's first remake; Persona 3 FES, had a seperate story set after the main story called The Answer. This shot feels like it only makes sense in the context of that story, so if they're actually adding it to this remake despite all the doubt around it, that's awesome! But if not, the choice to include this in the opening at all confuses me

Is not a real gun. Is an evoker. It what they use to summon personas. To summon a persona the user needs to feel fear or like their life is in danger. It's a weird concept but that's how it's work. I always thought they were shooting their ego, darkness, otherself (somehow taming that side) thus they were able to control them (the personas)

Atlus cooks way too good this Year. Im excited for almost each Game. But i also would like new Ports or Remakes from older Games. Like Devil Summoner because now with the closed Nintendo Shop you cant play them anymore or SMT 4 and there are many of this Games i wanted to play. Also the Raidou Games. And i really hope after Persona 6 for a Remake of Persona 1 and 2.
I agree with this. Will this probably is the game I am looking forward to the most now. I mean there is a couple of others tekken 8 because of a friend and it also being a game in one of the bigger fighting series that I havent really tried and then theres Y8 especially of games earliet this year. I really hope this Remake fixes the glaring issues of P3. Mainly Tartarus being a boring repetetive copy paste dungeon and tiredness being one of the worst mechanics ever.
Well you’re in luck because it’s been stated that the fatigue mechanic has been completely removed. Not only that, you can do certain activities before Tartarus that boost your party performance in it.
Note how one of the lines is "Crazy how time flies" Personally I take this as a message from Atlus to Persona 3 fans saying that it's been years since the original game was released on the PS2. Although I'm only stating the obvious, I think it's a neat little thing
P3 is peak. Theres something so cool about these characters artistically blowing their brains out with a gun haha. Im so glad they didnt change that in the remake
It isn’t P3 without being able to summon a persona in a unique way. Quite frankly no one besides Atlus has had the guts to make something that is usually panned as controversial and not good for kids about as artistic and intense as this and I’m not talking bad about how personas are summoned. For each game in the series there is a good explanation as to why the MCs and party members summon their personas their way.

It's the second half that does it for me, the animation - panning through all the characters summoning their personas - the imagery - the lyrics - I've watched this a dozen times and i still get goosebumps - *_the second half goes HARD_*
I don't know if I'm the only one. Even when it comes to wanting to get straight back into the game, I HAVE to watch this opening specifically each time. Even more so than 5/Royal or 4/Golden. Strikers is the closest to it for me, But reload man......This one is just amazingly beautiful.

Unlike most people that are excited for this game I have to admit that although I liked the original persona Three, out of all the persona games I have to say it wasn't one of my favorites but I'm hoping this version makes me change my mind.

the original persona 3 opening (and portable by extension) had such an abstract vibe that i ADORED, with heavy focus on death and time as that is the LITERAL point of the game. this just seems like they’re showing off the characters and the plot like that’s some sort of theme (but with style.. same thing p5r suffered from) to a new player, this their first exposure to what they’re ab to commit 100 hrs to. i miss how “weird” persona 3 felt, which definitely could’ve been attributed to its era but this is definitely feels like evidence of a step away from that. how could it be persona 3 opening without wackass latin phrases about death and mortality?
They still show the death part of the game's themes by people falling out the window and transitions to the Dark Hour without beating you over the head about it like in the original PS2 game intro.
The death motifs are more toned down. The red spider lily that Elizabeth turns into a key is a symbol for bad omens/death. The torii gate and the crow are other symbols. But it's not the same without memento mori.
Well they are more visualized you could say. Sometimes Symbols for certain Things shown are more impactful then some Words or Texts. But i get what you mean i loved certain Phrases too like Memento Mori, Remember you will die or Remember you are mortal.

the original persona 3 opening (and portable by extension) had such an abstract vibe that i ADORED, with heavy focus on death and time as that is the LITERAL point of the game. this just seems like they’re showing off the characters and the plot like that’s some sort of theme (but with style.. same thing p5r suffered from) to a new player, this their first exposure to what they’re ab to commit 100 hrs to. i miss how “weird” persona 3 felt, which definitely could’ve been attributed to its era but this is definitely feels like evidence of a step away from that. how could it be persona 3 opening without wackass latin phrases about death and mortality?
I think mc ripping the old mp3 player off and throwing it at the screen is probably a way to tell the audience that this is a new era for persona 3
They still show the death part of the game's themes by people falling out the window and transitions to the Dark Hour without beating you over the head about it like in the original PS2 game intro.

The death motifs are more toned down. The red spider lily that Elizabeth turns into a key is a symbol for bad omens/death. The torii gate and the crow are other symbols. But it's not the same without memento mori.
Well they are more visualized you could say. Sometimes Symbols for certain Things shown are more impactful then some Words or Texts. But i get what you mean i loved certain Phrases too like Memento Mori, Remember you will die or Remember you are mortal.
