Thanks to Mr Edogawa's personal classes, I can tell that Aigis' pose with the tarot cards is a way of telling fate mixing tarot and astrology. 13 cards are placed in circle around the consultant, and those 13 cards represents the 13 astrology signs. One card is sometimes placed in the center of the circle, which is supposed to define the consultant. With that way, we can slowly build the destiny of the consultant one step at the time, each card thus representing an important moment in the future of the consultant. By the way, the card at the center is The Fool, number 0. It mostly represents the start of a life project or in a general meaning, the liberty to start something.

Persona 4 Golden I’d say is a good starting point for the series if you are curious about it, but I haven’t played Reload yet so that might be good too.
The art style of the opening reminds more of the vanilla persona 5 rather than the original. The original had the Evangelion vibe with the whole flashes of words and the dreading atmosphere
That sequence of the party members summoning their personas one after another is absolutely beautiful. The animation is so fluid, and it captures the characters so perfectly. Actual goosebumps, man

I beat persona 4 golden a few months back and it became my favorite game ever, currently playing through persona 5 Royal and I’m having a blast and cannot wait to play this remake next month. You're playing these games at the perfect time. I played P4 and then P3 in my last year of high school (P5 hadn't come out yet) and I think that's a big part of why I love those games so much.
I Love how you can hear some bits of burn my dread like in the begining where it sounds similarly to the intro of burn my dread, just noticed too how around in 1:06 you can hear the "and it chained me to despair" part of burn my dread before cutting into the chorus. Love the subtle throwbacks to burn my dread.
Yeah, noticed that too. There are a lot of references, actually. And for a music geek its like another level of enjoyment hearing such a love letter from the past.
This is my favorite thing about the intro - it’s not just the visual style of the original OP, but the same sound scape/auditory motif. Such a cool touch ❤
I really like how it’s simple callbacks to the instrumentation and lyrics this time instead of chunks of the original opening song being thrown in for no good reason like with P5 Dancing’s opening
I will probably die on this hill, but Persona 3's story is arguably one of the most mature yet grounded amongst the other titles in the series. Be it the remake, FES or even Portable, the way these characters are written through the entirety of The Journey will always leave me feeling emotional in certain spots. I am so glad this got the Glow-up and attention it truly deserved.
For context of what I meant (MAJOR SPOILERS) I’m talking about the scene with Ken, Shinjiro and Akihiko on the train. I love the subtle foreshadowing to Shinjiros death and the relationship these 3 share. Two brothers, a boy who lost his mom and her killer, and then two people mourning over the loss of their friend.
The colors and visuals are beautiful and from what I've seen the new singer is underrated. Her voice is a complete vibe! Lotus Juice portion is great too! We are BACK!
This will be the ultimate Persona game. In P5 the technology couhgt up with the unique art style, and now, with P3's iconic story and characters, this franchise will hit its PEAK!
@@CaptainTitforce Yeah, rather than the tech being behind, it's more of just innovations in technology that have allowed for better/easier designed areas. Also God no this won't be the ultimate persona game. For now it might be, but here's hoping for P6 being actually really good.
Late, but: Currently (as of Jan 15, 2024, so roughly...2 months into their 2024 eligibility period), predicting 5 JRPGs (Infinite Wealth, Metaphor, FFVII Rebirth, this and Unicorn Overlord) for their GOTY field. Does that hold? Unlikely. But if it DOES? I would not be surprised if Keighley announced a "Best Non GOTY Nominated RPG" as a distinct category. To allow...Avowed, Dragon's Dogma II, Eiyuden and a couple others some kind of spotlight.
i know I'm very late and not a lot of people will see this but in 1:06 that red flower (for Japanese people) resembles death or it's a foreshadowing of someone's death, and if you played the game and finished it you know exactly what I'm talking about
One of the best things about this is the little call backs like in 0:30 that's a a part of Living with determination, its one of the most recognizable motifs of P3 (I think), its just all so nostalgia inducing, I get flash backs of playing this during one of the lowest points but in which I had P3 to help me through it. I don't really know if P3Reload is going to be good or not but I for one am definitely going to enjoy it thoroughly from beginning to end and god I wish everyone else will be able to live the joy I felt when I played the original and when I play this one on release.
I'm pretty sure that motif in Living With Determination is derived from the main 'verse' of Burn My Dread, and appears multiple times in other tracks in the OST. IIRC the opening chords in Living With Determination is also in The Voice Someone Calls. Just an observation.
And sadly it turns out that it got rid of the substance for modern audiences. Talk about a lame remake. Once again dead space proves that you have to do better or 1:1 on remakes for them to actually be good

This Intro is fire. Atlus really knows how to make music. I am a P4 Fan but still I really liked the P3R intro and gameplay... I am waiting something similar if they make P4 Remake
I first played the original P3 FES on the PS2 in the summer before I entered high school as a freshman. Now I'm a senior about to graduate in May. This couldn't have released in a better time.
Man this opening is so good. Seeing it again after beating the game. So many hints as to what happens without giving anything away. They did an amazing job Especially love pharros walking across the screen and the silhouette of ryoji in the reflection in the pool of blood. Also koromaru waiting at the shrine.
One of if not the best openings to a game I've ever had the pleasure to experience. The visuals and music is so memorizing. Especially after watching this again after you've completed the story
I knooo it was random for that student to look vaguely like her… given that Kotone wesrs fhe default school uniform. I saw that and went yup they stuck her in a coffin.. that girl is kotone but doesnt look like her her haircut is different…. Why that girl jumping off a roof? Right after Minato? Its too odd
I wonder if they added Kotone, remember, they said they ain't adding P3P content, that includes the FeMC BBBBBUUUUUUTTTTT they never said Kotone ISNT going to be in it, she could be like Kasumi, being the female counterpart of Makoto, if I'm right on this, we technically will have a new S.E.E.S member, it would help line up with Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth since Kotone is in that and the S.E.E.S members know who she is (excluding Makoto but S.E.E.S also know Makoto so) I could be 100% wrong but I find it odd that the only two characters who wear the normal school uniform pop up in this and I refuse to believe it's just "A Random Student" because she's the only one that pops up faceless, like they are hiding her identity, normally if a character gets a dedicated part in the intro, they will have some form of role
@@wolfiethefurrygamer1908in sorry to burst your bubble because I was doing this conspiracy shit when the game was first announced but Kotone will be in the rerelease in a few years (we all know it’s coming) not this game. I played it and was hooked. I literally just rolled credits on persona 4 golden as of 1/4/2024, and I'm trying not to go back into ng+ lol. I really am glad my friend dropped that gem for me all those years ago. I'm so glad to be alive to experience something that my friend was so passionate about all those years ago in line at lunch lol.
When I first got this game, I was going in blind, with my only knowledge of the Persona series being that the Personas are like stands from Jojo. I was vibing until halfway through when I was like "WHY TF ARE THEY ALL SHOOTING THEMSELVES??? EXPLAIN?"
1:18 Koromaru estuvo solo, triste, hasta que el equipo SEES llega a su vida para darle y regalarse ellos mismos un motivo mas para seguir un camino nuevo
full moon again, crazy how time flies... that verse brought me into tears, made me realised how much time has passed since i played this game for the first time. they made an excellent job with this intro. so nostalgic 💜
I've always felt Persona 3's soundtrack was more unique than the other entries, and most of that is due to the characteristics of the sounds Shoji Meguro used at the time (notably the pitch-modulated drum sounds, percussive bass synths, lots and lots of FM synths and trumpets, arpeggiated 'arcade'-y synth flourishes such as at 0:28, and hip-hop) and the recurrent use of motifs (my favorite being キミの記憶 split into 街の記憶 and 学園の記憶). This one, as many others have pointed out, is riddled with references to Burn My Dread in pretty much every aspect. Atsushi Kitajoh did a wonderful job emulating Shoji Meguro's Persona 3 phase. It's lovely that they didn't stray at all from the distinct sonic palette of the original. Persona 3 is my first entry, and to this day the art and music direction still holds up timeless.
Downloaded this on a whim since I was hella bored. This intro immediately got me hooked. Saw Makoto using the Evoker and went: “Holy sh*t.” Little did I know this is gonna start a Persona addiction.
I wanted to play this game, I never played other persona game but I just wanted to play this one, one of the best games I ever played, a master piece in all sense

Finally finished the game today. Gonna be weird coming back to this in 10 years and feel nostalgic over it. I was way too young to be playing Persona 3 when it originally came out but I did love this remake. The series also wasn't even on my radar until more recently.
Watching this actually brings tears to my eyes. It's so beautiful, and I love it so much. The Persona openings never cease to bring motivation to my life. Thank you Atlus, for this masterpiece.
This day I will finish the game. It has been a great journey full of so many emotions. It makes me sad to know that at the end, the dark hour is approaching its end. It is time to burn my dread.

I have heard great things about this game for years from friends. I unfortunately didn’t play it back in the day. So hyped for what everyone calls a masterpiece. 🔥
I remember when I was 13 when I played Persona 3 beat it and the whole “Memento Mori”. This game changed my life when I was a teenager. Now I am 29 years old HOW DID TIME GO THIS FAST 😭
SPOILERS AHEAD, IF YOU DONT KNOW THE PLOT OF P3 AND WANT TO PLAY IT, SKIP THIS COMMENTARY Ok so basically maybe i was exaggerating with the previous warning, but i love the detail that Shinjiro wasnt looking Ken directly at his eyes at the train scene and that right after the dark hour appears, correct me if im wrong but in the whole opening thats the only time the dark hour appears, basically the opening is foreshadowing you that those 3 guys where involved with something, that something was Ken's mother death, thats why Shinjiro wasnt facing Ken, because if they had a fight like Ken was going to originally do, Shinjiro wasnt going to face Ken. Sorry if the text was too long but i was just excited to get the detail, and also sorry for the bad english i am still improving it.
They did a really good job of protecting the essence of Persona 3 in this intro. It still SCREAMS Persona 3 while being entirely different from the other P3 openings
I love the artstyle and how it changes from a modern 2d animation to something like Evangelion or Akira kind of style. The symbolism is crazy and it carries how i felt all this time in my childhood, dealing with the trauma.
This game is like a time capsule for me. The game happens in 2009, feels like I'm still in high school 😂 They even added small details like the MP3 player.
@@BasedRedemption Not everyone wants to emulate games, or is able to. Some people aren't morally okay with it and others aren't able to because they don't have a device capable of emulating it.
@@trueNahobino Never understood the crowd that say emulation isn't morally right. At this point, the PS2 and P3 have been off the market for about 15 years, so if you buy it online, you're just paying the reseller who often times severely inflate prices. If the company and devs can no longer receive compensation for their work, and there is no way to buy their products except through resellers, imo emulation is 100% justifiable. Now, those who rip games for like switch and stuff, platforms that still support the sale of those products, I agree; that's straight up piracy.

I'm 24, busy & don't play a lot of games anymore, but I'm really glad the only game series I love nowadays is filled with so much love from ATLUS developers. You can really tell that they put a lot of effort into each "mainline" Persona game. They take their time making each mainline entry, unlike the recent trend of quick development cycles. A studio that loves & respects their own IP. That's fucking rare! Even the fact that Hashino steps down post-Persona 5 because he doesn't feel like he can direct "better" Persona games following Persona 5 is so mind-blowing. He respects these games so damn much. I love Persona. Music, art, story, gameplay, it's all so perfect for my taste. I'm glad to have played these games all the way from 2008 when I was 8. The best decision I've ever made! I've played a lot of games when I was young, but not a single franchise other than Persona has stuck with me to adulthood. I'm so glad its newfound fame is letting me enjoy more Persona games in the years to come in what spare time I have :D
This intro was my gateway into the Persona series last March. I was flipping through the GamePass offerings and saw a new release that was only a 25 gig download. The art style of the opening reminds more of the vanilla persona 5 rather than the original. The original had the Evangelion vibe with the whole flashes of words and the dreading atmosphere

I beat persona 4 golden a few months back and it became my favorite game ever, currently playing through persona 5 Royal and I’m having a blast and cannot wait to play this remake next month. I haven’t played the original persona 3 so this is perfect timing for me.
I hope you will enjoy it! Have an early congrats on finishing high school as well!

Boy, you're gonna love the last palace.
You're playing these games at the perfect time. I played P4 and then P3 in my last year of high school (P5 hadn't come out yet) and I think that's a big part of why I love those games so much.
1:07 this song part is so good ❤
I’d say that from 0:00 to 2:06 is the best part
that's called chorus
"Crazy how time flies" Crazy how reload has been out for 8 months...
The lyrics literally say burn your dread multiple times
This is my favorite thing about the intro - it’s not just the visual style of the original OP, but the same sound scape/auditory motif. Such a cool touch ❤
I really like how it’s simple callbacks to the instrumentation and lyrics this time instead of chunks of the original opening song being thrown in for no good reason like with P5 Dancing’s opening
It even has the same little sound effect at the beginning just like the OG P3 Intro
I hope they do Persona 2 next!
The subway scene got me. This intro is now my favorite persona opening
Not gonna lie... Me too
For context of what I meant (MAJOR SPOILERS)
I’m talking about the scene with Ken, Shinjiro and Akihiko on the train. I love the subtle foreshadowing to Shinjiros death and the relationship these 3 share. Two brothers, a boy who lost his mom and her killer, and then two people mourning over the loss of their friend.
The same goes for that Junpei scene
fun fact, the song is a mix of burn my dread and Close to you
Instantly the best they’ve ever made. The bar for P6 has never been higher .
After finishing the game the shot of Aigis on the rooftop brings a tear to my eye every time
The colors and visuals are beautiful and from what I've seen the new singer is underrated. Her voice is a complete vibe! Lotus Juice portion is great too! We are BACK!

I don't know about underated when the voice is praised a lot unless you mean before this trailer
This will be the ultimate Persona game. In P5 the technology couhgt up with the unique art style, and now, with P3's iconic story and characters, this franchise will hit its PEAK!
I don't think P3, 4 or 5 were in any way restricted by their current gen consoles? What do you mean exactly?

I saw that and went yup they stuck her in a coffin.. that girl is kotone but doesnt look like her her haircut is different….
Why that girl jumping off a roof? Right after Minato? Its too odd
I wonder if they added Kotone, remember, they said they ain't adding P3P content, that includes the FeMC BBBBBUUUUUUTTTTT they never said Kotone ISNT going to be in it, she could be like Kasumi, being the female counterpart of Makoto, if I'm right on this, we technically will have a new S.E.E.S member, it would help line up with Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth since Kotone is in that and the S.E.E.S members know who she is (excluding Makoto but S.E.E.S also know Makoto so)
I could be 100% wrong but I find it odd that the only two characters who wear the normal school uniform pop up in this and I refuse to believe it's just "A Random Student" because she's the only one that pops up faceless, like they are hiding her identity, normally if a character gets a dedicated part in the intro, they will have some form of role
@@wolfiethefurrygamer1908in sorry to burst your bubble because I was doing this conspiracy shit when the game was first announced but Kotone will be in the rerelease in a few years (we all know it’s coming) not this game. full moon again, crazy how time flies... that verse brought me into tears, made me realised how much time has passed since i played this game for the first time. they made an excellent job with this intro. so nostalgic 💜

Sudah bulan purnama lagi
Betapa cepatnya waktu berlalu
Ketika ku masih berpikir jika
semua berjalan ke arah yang tepat
Tapi ku percaya,
Semua hal menjadi hidup karena kebetulan
Ketika kita bersama, semua sudah seperti takdir
Bangunlah!
Kesalahan terbuat ketika semuanya hancur!
Bangkitlah!
Yang terpenting adalah kau sudah meninggalkan jejak
Tapi tunggu!
(Berdirilah!)
Jalannya mungkin
tidak mulus dan susah
tetapi pasti berujung kepada sesuatu
(Tidak ada yang mudah! Bangkitlah! Ambil dan Maju!)
Terkadang perjalanan ini tentang sebuah kesempatan
Semua kekuatan nasib yang mengatur hidup kita
Tidak peduli betapa jauh
(Tidak peduli betapa jauh!)
Kau akan pergi
(Kau akan pergi! Kau akan pergi!)
Berapa lama kau akan bertahan
(Hapus tangisan, tak ada waktu lagi!)
Inilah hidup mu
(Raih kembali hidupmu, ambilah!)
BAKARLAH RASA TAKUTMU

Ok so basically maybe i was exaggerating with the previous warning, but i love the detail that Shinjiro wasnt looking Ken directly at his eyes at the train scene and that right after the dark hour appears, correct me if im wrong but in the whole opening thats the only time the dark hour appears, basically the opening is foreshadowing you that those 3 guys where involved with something, that something was Ken's mother death, thats why Shinjiro wasnt facing Ken, because if they had a fight like Ken was going to originally do, Shinjiro wasnt going to face Ken.
Sorry if the text was too long but i was just excited to get the detail, and also sorry for the bad english i am still improving it.
